Shababeek Center

I have been at Shababeek for almost 3 months now, and I am amazed at the rate I’m at learning Arabic. The teachers (aka nurturers) have all been amazing, fun, patient, and dedicated to my learning and success to acquire the language. The staff is all encouraging and accommodating to the needs of their clients. I am happy to learn at Shababeek and would recommend it to others!

I love learning at Shababeek! The nurturers are so patient and make lessons fun. It's amazing how quickly you can understand language and start to speak with this process, forming simple stories within one month. They also really help you get to grips with culture and prioritise certain words and phrases you'll need in everyday life.

I am so thankful that Shababeek came recommended to us for our language learning! It has been the perfect fit for the start to my language learning. The sessions are so interactive and easy to follow along. By far the greatest asset are the nurturers/teachers, each one is so friendly, caring, patient, and fun. The other participants are equally as friendly and some have become like family here. I especially loved phase 1, it was amazing to me that after 5 weeks I could learn so many new words, with only Arabic being spoken in the sessions. I love that only 4 months in, I can understand about 50%+ of everyday conversation and even more in our sessions that use familiar vocab, etc. It’s a gift to feel like we can communicate so quickly! Also as a parent with two little kids, it has been so great to find excellent childcare within a 5min walk from Shababeek. Oh and I can’t forget free coffee and tea :)

My wife and I have just started learning Arabic at Shababeek and it has been such a wonderful experience. We have very little previous experience in Arabic, so we were a bit nervous to start. Living in the US, we learn remotely on Zoom, and the process has been nothing but enjoyable thus far. From professional communication and gracious accommodation for our scheduling needs (we have two small children), to engaging and enjoyable learning with a fantastic nurturer, we have nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend for anyone interested in learning practical and well-rounded Arabic language and culture!

Shababeek is the best. It felt a little expensive, but many of friends strongly recommended it, so I signed up.
Nurturers teach really well and the language learning system at Shababeek is also great. (It has its own animations.)By learning and reviewing listening, speaking, grammar, etc. in various ways, I was able to learn Arabic without getting bored.

Shababeek is the best place to learn Arabic in Amman! I started at another language center and knew I needed something different, and had no hesitations in choosing Shababeek with my continued studies. I have been so happy with my time there the last several months. The staff is so caring and professional, and I really can tell they care about my experience and want to know how to serve me best. The director Jennifer has been intentional in reaching out to me personally and makes herself available to help me on my journey. I also just greatly value the structure they have created, it makes me feel like I can fully trust the path that I’m on and that it is isn’t random or up to me. So grateful for Shababeek and can’t recommend them enough!

I studied at Shababeek Centre on two occasions, in 2017 for one month and 2018 for 4 months. I had studied a bit of Arabic at University and had various private tutors over the years. However, Shababeek was the most effective language centre I had found and it gave built up my confidence in speaking and listening. The Nurturers are incredibly patient, hard working and highly skilled at their jobs. I often consider coming back to Shababeek. I highly recommend studying at Shababeek for anyone wanting to learn Arabic!

I have been learning Arabic at Shababeek for the last two months. I have loved the experience. I had some experience with studying classical Arabic before, but it had been overwhelming for me. Therefore, I was very nervous to start learning Arabic at the centre but have found that my teachers have been extremely patient with me. They have encouraged me when I have been struggling with the lessons and have celebrated me when I have started to speak and use more of the language. It has been a fun and encouraging environment to learn Arabic in.

Excellent language center that employs teachers who are professional, caring, and give you the tools you need to really learn spoken Levantine Arabic. The system (GPA) is proven to help those who want to put in the time and effort to really master Arabic, and the teachers and staff at Shababeek are among the best of the best. Their resources are second to none, and you can't argue with the price. I wholeheartedly recommend Shababeek to anyone who wants to learn Arabic.

I was nervous about learning Arabic in GPA style because of misunderstanding of how it would work. Shababeek has been amazing as there are so many props and visual aids as we listen and say new words in Arabic. The lessons have been well planned and there’s no way I would have learned as many words as I have in 1.5 months without Shababeek. It’s been exciting to see how much I’ve progressed.

Shababeek is phenomenal! I have never seen a more professional school that has a systemized way to learn Arabic! It's not through pressure and stress but through fun, connection and relationships! They cater to foreigners from all over the world and provide the most excellent training for their staff to make sure that every student is successful! :)

Shababeek really understands how to teach Arabic! They focus on understanding and then being able to participate in conversation rather than memorizing words and forming perfect sentences immediately. That makes it easier to keep up motivation in the long process that is learning Arabic as a native English speaker. Both nurturers I have learned from so far have been incredibly patient with me, and the customer support team have always been ready to respond to questions or help tailor my sessions to help me get the most out of them.

I'm learning Arabic with Shababeek since Phase 1 (starting with nearly no pre-knowledge) and it has been in amazing experience. After 11 months, I'm now in Phase 4 and really thankful to all the amazing staff and nurturers who have made this possible - and enjoyable! I really appreciate how well trained and supportive the nurturers are. Not only in teaching us vocab and grammar, but also in sharing their culture and life stories to help us understand this new world and enable us to grow healthy relationships with locals!

I’ve been at Shababeek for a little over a month now and I’ve enjoyed and appreciated the learning process offered here! We learn colloquial Arabic therefore making it very beneficial when speaking with Native Arabic speakers! The nurtures make Arabic learning fun in an engaging manner that keeps you wanting to move along the 5 phases offered here!

Definitely the best center to learn spoken Arabic in Amman! Having a real system, books or general content for learning spoken Arabic is quite complicated but Shababeek created it!
Without a doubt the place I recommend to friend who want to pick up or improve their language skills.

Shababeek is an INCREDIBLE language school. I’ve been continually impressed by the staff, the teachers, the method, and the curriculum. It’s been by FAR the easiest language learning I’ve ever done in my life! Utilizing the GPA method with locals just makes the words, grammar, phrases, and stories stick in your brain so much easier than just old school memorization. I’m so so thankful for Shababeek and the friends I’ve made through this program! And I’ve even been taking classes over zoom and it’s been incredible. 10/10 would recommend this language school to anyone.

I have been at Shababeek for about 4 months and have really enjoyed my time so far. The staff have been exceptional and the nurturers so patient and willing to help. I have learned so much about the language and culture in just 4 months. I feel like Shababeek is the premiere GPA center in Jordan!

My wife and I have loved our sessions at Shababeek and they've been so beneficial for us in learning Jordanian Arabic and gaining familiarity with the culture there. They've got a great online system and it is a wonderful option for someone who wants to learn Arabic, even if they do not live in Jordan.

The GPA language learning method used at Shababeek is a distinguished program, facilitating rich language learning that also provides unique insights to the culture, religion, and worldview of the people. The language sessions are enjoyable and an opportunity to learn from and build relationships with native Arabic speakers.

I went to this center in October 2023 and I studied there for 4 weeks, 4 hours per day. I had such a great experience. I have learnt so much in such a short time. My teachers were great, patient and always ready to repeat as many times as needed.
I would like to thank Nour, Amel Delyala and Mohammad who were truly amazing and helpful. I’m still doing Arabic online now and my teacher Rawan is such a sweetheart, very patient and I can tell she loves teaching.
I highly recommend This language center. If you are really serious on learning colloquial Arabic, go there or do it online !!
