A completely unexpected surprise! This is a great small museum with excellent artifacts and explanations. If driving along the Dead Sea to/from Aqaba or wadi rum.., stop in! And as a bonus walk up to the prophet lot cave…

Items excavated from Lot's Cave are in the museum, and entry is only 2 JD for non Jordanians. Bring your own toilet paper.

Fun small museum that outlines the history of the lower dead sea region.
Very informative with some very well designed displays. can be seen in about 30 minutes so i would recommend seeing lot's cave which is directly next to it.

Beautiful place where you can have an insight on the history and geological structures in the region of the Dead Sea. You can park the car (if you have rented one) in front of the museum and then go up to visit Lot's Cave - the views are amazing from the cave but be ware that the climb is pretty abrupt and it might feel exhausting, especially on a hot day.

A Must visit place in Jordan. Rich of history especially in christian community... it's about an hour away from Amman. The church has beautiful original mosaics which are stunning. Also, there is a small museum that explains the history of the site. On a clear day you are able to see dead sea, Jordan River, Palestine, and Israel.
