We had an amazing time at Wadi Bin Hammad. The road leading to the Wadi was not too scary or difficult to navigate. We started early at around 10 am, and we believe it made the drive easier as we where the only people on the road.

Upon arrival at the entrance, we paid 5 dinar per person. The person at the entrance suggested that we hire a guide for an additional fee of 15 dinar. He explained that the first kilometer of the hike is accessible without a guide but a guide is mandatory for the rest. However, we opted to only do the first bit of the hike but ended up walking further. There was nobody who checked it.

The hike was incredibly beautiful, the water was warm, and it was suitable for families. It was a great way to spend a morning or afternoon, and we absolutely loved it. We were there in March in the morning, and on the way down the river, we didn't see anyone. We only saw one family on the way back.

We had a lovely time at Wadi Bin Hammad.

Outstanding hiking area! Road to this place at least at the time of this review is bad, I highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle. Only 5 JOD/person to enter the canyon with the possibility to get a guide at an extra 15 JOD. You need to bring water shoes, majority of the hike will be in a worm like creek. The views are spectacular and this was definitely a highlight of our 7 day holiday in Jordan.

It’s definitely one of my most favorite valleys in Jordan.
even though it’s located two hours away from the capital, you can find a lot of touristic groups that are going there.
It’s not that hard and when you go there and come back the trail can reach 9 km the nature is so beautiful and amazing and you would never expect such thing here.
Its a water valley, so you can expect water until knee level and some waterfalls, but it’s suitable for kids too

Amazing hike! I really like that the water was warm. The hike is easy but got increasingly difficult after the ladder down. But you can turn around pretty much anytime. It’s additional fee to use the ladder, on top of the entrance fee. The drive down was challenging but not impossible. We had a normal car with no 4WD and we didn’t try to cross the stream. Some people did without a 4WD and they managed. It’s good to be early. We started just after 9 and it got increasingly crowded thru the day.

Wadi Bin Hammad has been a much greater experience than The Siq of Wadi Mujib, it’s 1/4th of the price and gives you 3h+ (as long as you want it to be because you can turn around) of canyoning pleasure. Breach out to the waterfall on the left once you’ve reached the valley. There are places to relax and eat (bring something).

10/10 for 5 dinar pp (you don’t necessarily need a guide).

Wadi Bin Hammad is a stream flowing between walls of colored sandstone, with hanging gardens spread out along its banks with palms and plants. Springs and waterfalls pouring from the picturesque walls water the plants (and us), and also create special stalactites. In short, a kind of paradise...
After walking through the narrow gorge, the stream opened up and we continued with it, until we reached a waterfall with a rock at the top, where we showered, made coffee and returned the way we walked.
A total of about three hours of walking, with a slightly challenging section near the end of the narrow gorge where you have to climb and descend a high boulder with a rope hanging on its side for help (you can save by crawling under the boulder, for those who are thin enough).
The water in the stream is quite warm, and at the beginning there are hot springs and also a fairly mediocre hammam (naturally warm pool) where we took a dip at the end of the trip.

Nice canyon to walk.
The road to reach the visitor center is not that good, small and sometimes steep uphill and if you have a low car, don't cross the small water about 300 meters before the visitor center and park on the other side.
Canyon is a nice walk through warm water, price is 5JOD. About 50 minutes downstream to the 'rope', which you have to pay 10JOD extra to use (we didn't do that), back upstream is about 1 hour.
Use waterproof shoes with a sturdy sole, because there are a lot of (sometimes slippery) rocks.

A magical trail worth hiking.
Full of explorers and adventure
Walking through the narrow canyon gives you a wonderful experience of calm and amaze ,,

There’s no public transportation leading to the location you have to go with your own car or with group bus to reach it

Ask for someone called I’KAAB (عِقاب) a local person working in the valley he would give any help or guidance you need .

The fees are none , you only have to pay 1 jd to use the leader that located at the middle of the valley

There’s a restroom in starting point of the valley
Make sure also to bring water and non slippy shoes .

Amazing adventure must to do .

I love every part of it. Every place every section... water, greenery, hot water, water springs...
You can spend 2 hours and you can stay the whole day.

Walking in the water is magical, and the scenery is breathtaking.

Everyone should go... every Jordanian should know this place. And the tourists... they get astound of the place...

One of the most beautiful wadi’s in Jordan. I read older reviews about issues with guides & ladders, and I wrote this review to say that the seasonal floods changed the landscape and now there is no more need for the ladder. We had a beautiful, easy, hassle-free and self-guided hike. Our hike was in July 2023.

This is amazing! Like on another planet. Our guide Agab took us beyond the waterfall! He was a wonderful guide, also made tea for us.
Not deeper than the knees in most places but you can go in deeper puddles.
Take an extra pair of shoes and clothes for this hike.
You can stay out of the deepest puddles but you will always be wet up to the knees.
Water is lukewarm. Very pleasant. 5 jod entrance. Guides ask a fee too. You don't need a guide, but we liked it.

I was a bit nervous by the comments I saw regarding the drive. I would say it is pretty doable in a small car and the place is totally worth a visit. I will try to share some pictures but really pictures can't do justice. A must visit! Especially for those who can't do a tough hike like wadi mujib. This one is pretty straight forward

One more of Jordan’s hidden jewels! Wadi Bin Hammad, one of the most amazing canyons to do in Jordan - Karak Governorate

The place is a heaven on earth, is a great hiking spot where you can enjoy the beauty of Jordan and its nature.

While walking in clean water, you see the changing colours of the stones and the plants grown all around.

You can sit under one of the small water falls and enjoy the massage like feeling.

Enjoy the stunning views of the palm trees hanging on the walls of the canyon.

Very nice hike , you can not loose the way -just follow the water !
Start early as you need about 6 hours to reach the dead sea !
After 45 Minutes there is a 2 Meter waterfall -this is a point of no return if you go down this point the only way is to continue to the end to the dead sea !

One of the most amazing canyons to do in Jordan - Karak Governorate
U can do as much as you want as a hike, rappelling is available on the upper trail (u need to hire a local guide) or coordinate with one of adventure tour providers in Amman
The place is a heaven on earth, but don't expect any kind of extra services
Bring your own food, water, drinks, & gear
The hike in the canyon is quite easy, nothing adventurous, water level maximum reaches your knees
The water is clean.
Enjoy the stunning views of the palm trees hanging on the walls of the canyon

Beautiful Wadi. Nice trail through the warm water coming from the hot springs. Walking through green vegetation up to a small waterfall (1 hour walk). For 5 JOD per person, including cup of tea (Sept. 2022), they will let you down a ladder to continue your walk (return whenever you feel you have walked enough). Section after the ladder is a narrow canyon for a few hundred meters, than again a more wider part. General admission for the trail is 5 JOD per person (to pay at the visitir center). They will ask if you need a guide (20 JOD). The walk is pretty easy (just follow the water 🙂), so a guide is not required.

I broke my leg here after slipping down a waterfall. very unfortunate ): but this is such a beautiful place. Make sure you go prepared and wear non-slip hiking shoes.
