I have had a fantastic time studying Ammiyeh at Deewan. I am impressed with the progress that I have made in just 2 months. The placement test was quick and easy, and I was placed wirth students who are exactly at the same level. The group classes include a mix of practical, conversation-based teaching, as well as grammar lessons and cultural anecdotes. There are classes that fit many schedules, and all of the staff are open and friendly. I also love the materials that Deewan has developed - listen to their podcast! I have developed friendships with many of my classmates, and I would highly recommend Deewan for anyone who wishes to quickly become conversational in Jordanian Arabic!

I am studying with Deewan after having tried a few language schools in Amman and I am very impressed with the quality of the teaching, as well as the overall culture in the centre. It is incredibly welcoming and accommodating for students at all levels. They really tried to find me the best learning options - at an incredibly reasonable price point! Would highly recommend.

My experience as a student at Deewan has been wonderful and I highly recommend it to any non-native speakers who are looking to learn Arabic, whether colloquial or MSA. I took one on one classes in mixed colloquial and MSA for three months and I have seen so much improvement in my ability to speak and understand Arabic. My teacher (Khaled) is always so supportive and keeps the course interesting. Based on the quality of the course and the level of individualization you get the prices are a great value. Highly recommend Deewan!

I give Deewan the highest possible recommendations! I started studying Arabic (Ammyieh) with Deewan 1 month ago as a complete beginner, and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are really dedicated and encouraging; the curriculum is ambitious and very-well structured, and the general atmosphere at the Institute is warm and welcoming. I recommend everyone interested in learning Arabic to chose Deewan, I am sure that you will love it!

I cannot recommend Deewan highly enough! The teachers and staff at Deewan are incredibly supportive and passionate about teaching the Arabic language, both Fuhsa and Ammiyeh. They can cater lessons to any level of Arabic, and be flexible with your schedule and pace. They have also developed their own teaching material, including textbooks with audio files, an idioms book and a podcast, which are extremely helpful. There’s a lovely communal workspace that you can use to study or work, and the institute organises other activities such as social and cultural experiences. Added bonus, Deewan is also located in a nice part of Amman with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.

I like the arabic lessons at Deewan very much. I have 1-1 lessons with Saif, who is a very good and friendly teacher. In my first 12 lessons at Deewan, I have already been able to improve my Arabic a lot. I am looking forward to the next 12 lessons!
I really like the teaching material at Deewan, it is very structured. And I feel very comfortable in the Deewan co-working space!
I can also highly recommend the Deewan podcast, which is available on Spotify!:)

I've been taking small group and 1:1 Arabic classes at Deewan for the last five months and am really enjoying it so far. The teachers are great and support you to learn at your own pace. The curriculum is well designed and specifically tailored for the Jordanian dialect, while the audio recordings that come with the textbook are very helpful for studying. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and they work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for the students.

Highly recommended! The teaching is of excellent quality. The lessons are tailored to the students’ needs and interests. The teaching material is very helpful. The teachers are truly devoted, supportive and encouraging. The administrative staff is also very responsive and supportive. Beyond the language classes, Deewan organizes many cultural events (calligraphy, literature, cultural tours etc.).

Deewan is great if you're looking for personalized Arabic classes. I have been taking online one on one courses with them for over a year with several different instructors.
Communication is always clear and quick and the classes themselves are very personalized and effective. I've also had a lot of fun with my instructors!

Deewan is a perfect choice for those, who want to learn Levantine Colloquial Arabic and are taking it seriously. The institute is having a young and energetic staff who is truly devoted to what they do. Deewan is organizing a lot of amazing events to practise and develop your Arabic skills and learn new things, f.ex. calligraphy classes, podcast making(!), or art classes. More than that, they are putting a lot of effort to improve their teaching skills and broadening their own teaching materials - The "Comprehensive Guide To Levantine Arabic" is the best position to start your journey from, as well as "The 1000 Most Used Words", which will help you to find yourself on the daily basis, while living Arab countries.
Besides classes, you can come and work from a common space Deewan offers - it is a perfect solution for freelancers. In the breaks from your job, you can always take a moment and sit in the small, but very cozy garden, to take a moment of relax, pet dog or cat:)
The atmosphere in the institute is very friendly and helpful. And it's very important to mark - the front line of Deewan - Suzan - does an amazing job!

Deewan and its teachers and staff are invariably friendly, warm and welcoming. After a new position brought me to Amman, I started learning colloquial Arabic from scratch at Deewan. I benefited greatly from one-on-one tuition there, which I found to be both immensely enjoyable and instructive. Mohammad is an experienced and passionate teacher; he was very open to accommodating my wishes by structuring the course according to my preferences and pace.

Deewan’s cultural events – whether it be a trip to the beautiful expanse of Ajloun Forest, a Yalanji cooking class or an insight into traditional Palestinian embroidery – provide not only an opportunity to practice Arabic, get acquainted with different accents and make new friends, but have allowed me to explore Jordan and its culture beyond language.

Finally, I whole-heartedly recommend Deewan’s workspace as a calm and bright retreat for anyone who needs to study, work or simply escape Amman‘s hustle and bustle.

I live in the US but have been taking Arabic classes with Deewan on Skype. It’s so hard to find classes specifically for the Jordanian dialect and Deewan has an amazing curriculum! The teachers are all great, helpful, and make you feel comfortable and excited to learn.

Deewan is an excellent place to study Arabic - Deewan's staff are very friendly and the atmosphere and the environment the team have created there is really conducive to learning. I recommend Deewan at every opportunity I can to non-native speakers. It's a really fantastic school. Keep it up Deewan!

I am a Research Fellow in History of Islamic Countries at the Department of Political Science at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. I lived and conducted research in Tunisia, Syria, Jordan and Kuwait while working on my PhD thesis and I attended Arabic courses in all these countries. I recently discovered Deewan Institute and I am beyond satisfied with the learning experience. I am recommending it to my students in Italy and my collegues as at Deewan the teaching offer is wide and can meet the needs of all learners regardless of their level. Moreover, at Deewan a student finds a community, a safe place to study and benefit the most from both the life and learning experience in Jordan.

I have been studying at Deewan for a year in total, and it's a reason I chose Deewan. The institute are located in the best area in Amman, the teachers are amazing and the overall atmosphere is great! The services, the cultural experiences and the language exchange you get is more than I expected from a language institution. I highly recommend Deewan Inatitute if you want to learn both fusha and 3ammia (dialect) 😊

Dewaan is far more than a language center. It is the real authentic experience you are looking for if you are eager to get to know more about Arab culture and, especially, Jordanian customs and traditions. The language courses are organised efficiently and properly. The center offers the possibility to experience the local culture together with learning the language. Highly recommended for expats, but also for locals who wish to exchange their culture with us :) .
