Had a similar experience to the other reviewers. The location was convenient to my hotel so I decided to pay the high price for a postcard (even though I knew I was being overcharged). But I had a bad feeling the cards would never be sent when he accepted USD for the fee + refused to give me a receipt. He also would not stamp them in front of me and I had to have my colleague who spoke Arabic argue with him on the phone until he stamped them officially. Luckily she knew someone who worked at Jordan Post and could advise me.

If you are a tourist I would avoid this post office location or make sure they stamp the mail in front of you / give you a receipt. Definitely some sketchy business happening here. Scammers, for sure.

WARNING: AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS!

It's a shame that we had a great time in Jordan and met so many great and trustworthy people, but then got ripped off by a bas*** at the post office! AT THE POST OFFICE! We bought stamps at a probably much too high price and the post cards to Germany never arrived.

Update 2023-11-12:
Surprisingly, the postcards have eventually arrived after more than 6 months! Still, I leave the * rating unchanged as this and the price for the stamps is not normal.

In January I sent two postcards to Poland. "I have the stamps, but I have pay extra." The postcards haven't arrived to this day. I don't recommend. The "case" has been reported above. Scammers work here! They are the reason why people think "Jordan is a country of thieves".

Bought stamps at a way too high price without any receipt and the post cards never arrived.

Scammers again. Charged me 2 JD for a post stamp without giving any receipts. It was 0.9 JD from Aqaba, so I'm pretty sure the guy overcharged me

Absolute joke of a post. Scammers, that will sell you overpriced stamps that are visibly peeled off of old mail. Ended up not sending the postcards from here, wouldn't be surprised if they just peeled the stamps from my postcards and threw them into trash.

Worst thing to communicate with, everyone couldn't give directions to how to receive the package, they never even called us to tell us our package arrived, the ebay app said that the package was still in transit, and they didn't even care to contact us, we called them a week ago and they told us that they'll ship it to us and they said to wait 3 days but we got no call, absolutely disgusting

They'll charge for stamps but don't apply them and mail doesn't arrive.

It says it closes at 6:00 pm. But I found it closed at 3:40 pm.
