Al Kalha Stairs

These stairs are a must visit for everyone who lives/visits Amman. It’s filled with artistic and vibrant graffiti murals. Plus, you will pass by different cafes , a bookshop, and cultural art places, like jadal. I love passing through these stairs .

This staircase is one of Amman's hidden gems. The unassuming stairs lead you to a beautiful path of cafes, old bookshops, art and cultural centers, and lots of street art and grffiti. Extremely photogenic.

Colorful place. Worth visiting it and take a tea or a coffee in any of the coffee shops there.

Short staircase, but the nice surprise is that it leads to a modern local art gallery, and the walk up has a lot of interesting and pretty graffiti and murals. It turns out this is the area where a lot of the younger "cooler" crowd of the locals reside - at least this is what we were told. The Jordan equivalent of hipsters.

If you like street art and taking photos, shopping authentic souvenirs, enjoying a cup of tea or coffee then you have to see kalha stairs.

One hidden place in the downtown of amman where you can find variaty of grafitti and cofeshops ..its a nice experience .. must go there

Amazing graffiti walls on the both sides of the stairs. Lovely umbrellas too, hung up just above the heads of the people walking up and down the stairs. Not a place for small children or old people who have reduced mobility. But definitely a place for art lovers and especially for street art junkies.

One of the best historical stairs in "the stay of stairs" ..amman which took his name from the first family lived there (kalha) ,it's connect between the old city -city center- and one of the oldest mountains in amman (jabal al waeibdeh) ,on the stairs restaurants caffes bookshop can be found .

One of my favourite spots in downtown Amman. Colourful and beautiful. There is also an old bookshop with books for 3 jods. It’s a must visit.

This place is considered as historic place must visit , it was the first stairs in amman and has the oldest shops , hotel and barber in amman and Jordan, you gotta taste ( kataief) and ( kunafa) from there, trust me you will love them 😊

Nice walk, artistic with little bookshops, cafes and restaurants along the stairway. A very nice transition from weibdeh to downtown

I suppose to say that it is one of the hidden places in down town but it is not, but what a lovely place
