Sugar Mill Restaurant

I chose this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. The food was amazing, everything was very well seasoned and cooked to our liking. We did order alcoholic beverages which we felt were a bit watered down but they were still tasty as well.
…now the overall experience was good, the server was attentive, the assistant manager even introduced herself to us and made sure we were taken care of.

I absolutely love this restaurant, everything was incredible from the ambiance to the servers, the Chef is A1. The cocktails were really good we had the Ginger martini and Bloody Mary both were so so good. Our food choices were so delicious we can't wait to go back there it's worth the trip from Toronto to Jamaica Montego Bay. Special hellos to Chef Christopher Golding who deserves huge compliments, our server Colin who made our dining experience extra special and Robert the General Manager!!

For some reason i cant upload the videos of my food and wine tasting etc. BUT, I had an amazing fine dining experience. From the Hostess, to the gentleman who served us the bread and the unique spreads(beet spread was so delicious along with the wheat and thyme rolls). I ordered steak and a sweet red wine, which was so delicious. Everything i had was so flavorful.
My cousin had the oxtail ravioli, OMG so good!. Kenisha was my waitress (I am so sorry if I spelled your name wrong). She is so sweet.
Everyone was so pleasant. I loved the ambiance and the atmosphere. We sat outside, so there were plenty bugs. I had so mich fun. And the birthday song they sang had a wicked remix. I was LIT. I will definitely make a trip back here. Loved it!

My husband and I dined last month for our anniversary, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our waitress and the assistant manager were so kind; all of the staff made us feel like Sugar Mill was the best restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.

Ultra fine dining experience! Knowledge staff. I celebrated my early birthday here. The main dish was amazing. Oh what a night.

Everything about this restaurant is exactly what you want for in an intimate date night. The servers are excellent and are very attentive to your every need. The food simply aligns with what's already laid out with the atmosphere and service.

The food is top notch. This is a fancy restaurant if anything, but even then many of the prices are reasonable. Some of the prices seemed a little too much, but the staff and food were excellent.

Oxtail ravioli was phenomenal. Ambiance was really romantic. Wine was great . Maitai was good as well. There could be a little more lighting. The service is impeccable.

Excellent!! It’s expensive but worth it. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Desserts aren’t nearly as good as the food. Food was a 9.5/10 and desserts were 5.5/10. Great spot tho

Went here for a friend's birthday. On word EXCELLENT. The food OMGNESS was sooooo soooooo sooooo good everything was just YUM. The staff were so awesome and friendly and funny too, very approachable. I will DEFINITELY be coming here again. This is not a joe grind kinda place this is a husband/wifey material kinda place.

From the moment we walk in the surroundings and how they greet you once you get out the car was the best. The food and drinks were delicious. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

I honestly could not find anything negative about the restaurant. From the moment you arrive there is a gentleman opening your car door and welcoming you to the restaurant. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The food presentation was impeccable and it did not dissapoint, every meal was great and flavorful. We shared Oxtail Ravioli as an appetizer, my friend had rack of lamb and I had the beef rib-eye. We shared sides of roasted potatoes and fried kale. I wish I took pictures of all the food.. It was my friend's birthday and I had mentioned this on the phone when making reservations and I was very impressed that they remembered and they brought out a cake on the house for him and the staff came and sang happy birthday. We were too full to order any deserts but I am sure if we did it would have been great. They even called our taxi guy to pick us up. This is a pricey restaurant but the whole experience and the food makes it all worthy in my opinion.

Historical place- that sets the perfect mood for dinner. I'm vegetarian and gluten free and I was overwhelmed with how many exciting and delicious options there were. I also love spice and they went above and beyond to meet every expectation. We celebrated my husband's birthday and they went the extra mile with birthday dessert as well as additional takeaways(macaroons, chocolate truffle, etc). Excellent wine selection including our favorite French bottles. Service was impeccable and friendly. Highly recommend for everyone. Compliments to staff and chef who came to our table to personally greet us.

My daughter was celebrating her 24th birthday at the Sugar Mill Restaurant located in the Half Moon Hotel with friends in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I wanted to surprise her and her friends with a New York style strawberry cheesecake. I called the Hotel and spoke with Brittney Spence Concierge Agent and she made it happen. This place is the definition of Jamaican fine dining. The service was top-tier, and the menu was unbelievable. I do wish the portions were bigger though.

My family and I had dinner here and it was the best meal experience we had in Jamaica. The outdoor setting was gorgeous with all the tropical plants and trees, and the meal was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Service was unbelievable- so attentive and thoughtful from start to finish!
