Hotel Riu Reggae

Lovely hotel, was welcomed with a glass of champagne. Check in was very quick.
The bed was huge and was changed when ever we requested, this was done by leaving a card on the bed. Towels were changed on a daily basis when the room was cleaned.
The safe in the wardrobe was included, just needs a pin entering to secure it.
There was always hot water throughout the day/ night, the shower did lack pressure but wasn't a problem.
The balcony was a sun trap we got sun until it went dark.
Dining experience was fine always found something to eat. My favourite restaurant was the bamboo, food here was lovely and the staff friendly and attentive.
The entertainment staff were amazing from morning to evening getting guests involved with games dancing bingo etc, went out of their way to introduce themselves and the next time they seen us remembered our names. I would like to give a big shout out to George the cleaner, he was very good at his job and cleaned all areas thoroughly and was always smiling and said hello.
The jerk chicken hut was always busy the potions were massive.
The beach was cleaned daily and even had a smoking area which was good for non smokers,and there was enough sunbeds on the beach and around the pools for everyone.
I loved this hotel and the area, if I got chance I would return.

We had a wonderful time!
Staff were attentive, kind, and responsive to our needs.
The entertainment team is great with nightly shows of some sort.
The food was great. I highly recommend getting your reservations in on the app the moment you arrive. Unfortunately many people in our group never got to eat anywhere other than the buffet for dinner, because they waited until the end of the first day to make a reservation. 😔
The buffet is still delicious with a nice variety. The jerk hut on the beach is also an option for lunch and it was amazing!
Be mindful that to get to most excursions it is at least a 1.5 hour drive from the resort and that is not including traffic, so sometimes close to 2 hours.
The rooms are clean, bed was comfortable, housekeeping did great at ensuring our room stayed clean and tidy.
This resort is right across the street from a mall. There is a free shuttle that will take you across so you don't have to walk as it is a busy highway!
Word from the wise, only buy coffee and booze from the grocery store across the street in the mall. Do not go to a gift shop as they will charge you $30 more in US dollars!
Overall we would stay here again. It is not immaculate, but it met our standards to ensure we could relax. :)

Just got back from our stay here. There was lots to do throughout the day, you just have to be willing to participate in all their games. Special shout out to the entertainment staff who went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time, especially the workers who go by Shadow, Flexx, and Chavoy. Food was good, no complaints except for the Asian themed restaurant was not the best. All the staff at the resort were very friendly and welcoming, rooms were always clean and a good size

Loved our experience at the Riu Reggae. The staff was great and friendly in all aspects: cleaning staff, bartenders, waiters, entertainment team, etc... Hotel is literally 5 minutes from the airport. Lots of free activities on resort in addition to the great entertainment team: volleyball, ping pong, water sports, connect 4, chess, etc...

The food was excellent and the buffet had plenty of options. 3 other restaurants are open for dinner (steakhouse and Italian on reservation). Might get somewhat repetitive if your stay is 2 weeks.

Beautiful beach with white (imported) sand and amazing weather usually clear in the morning getting overcast late afternoon. As with several other places down south, there will be people in boats on the shore trying to make a living selling you souvenirs or marijuana.

If I had to nitpick, bed and pillows were too firm for my liking but we were able to request softer pillows which were much more comfortable. Rooms can also be somewhat noisy as you can hear the frequent airplanes from 8am to 8pm, closing doors and people chatting in the hallways.

We really enjoyed our time here. Everyone on the staff was attentive to the customer experience.
I especially want to mention the amazing lady Michelle at the bar !! What a beautiful soul.

Also, I think they might just have the most talented entertainment team. They’re amazing and take care that people are having fun and enjoying their time.

Absolutely fantastic!! The hotel is beautiful and all the staff are just amazing! What a happy and fun environment to be in… there isn’t a moment you won’t be smiling. Super easy and helpful to book excursions next to the front check in desk and lots of choice of lovey food/drinks throughout the hotel. Couldn’t recommend enough.

FANTASTIC!! The staff is super friendly. The resort is clean. The food is delicious. My boyfriend and I went for a week a few weeks ago and we had a ball!! I love the fact that it is Adult only.

Everything about this place is amazing!
The rooms are clean and spacious, the showers are powerful, the beds are comfortable, the WiFi reach is great, the beach is clean and you never have to fight for a sun lounger! The food is off the charts amazing as are the drinks. I can't wait to return!

My fiance and I stayed at Riu Reggae with 8 other friends. You can’t beat the service here, especially for the price! Very close to the airport, so yeah, you hear some planes but it’s worth it to get in and out quickly and easily. The staff are cleaning constantly… I tried making the bed in the morning and keeping our room picked up to make their job a little easier, but without fail they were in and out quickly every afternoon doing a thorough clean regardless! The entire resort is spotless. Food was good… no need to book at the restaurants honestly, the buffet is great, as is the jerk chicken they have on the beach every day! The entertainment was awesome and that crew works so hard… they’re there from sun up to long after the sun goes down making sure everyone has a good time. We did an excursion, took a boat snorkeling and over to Negril to Ricks Cafe. If you’re doing an excursion, ASK QUESTIONS! The boat ride was nearly 2 hours, we were fine but some others not accustomed to a long boat trip did not fare well. The crew was great, dropped some people off at a nearby beach when they couldn’t handle the choppy water that day. Getting in and out of Ricks on a windy day can be a little dicey so you have to be ready to go with the flow and take instruction from the boat crew. Know your limits and what your excursion entails before you go - the crew will do their best to accommodate and keep everyone safe regardless. Thanks Riu Reggae for a great week… you all were fabulous 🙂

Beautiful resort, great service. The workers make you feel like family. The buffet has delicious food, the restaurants have different options, which I love. The housekeeping leaves a nice message everyday. They even left me a gift with a note in the room on my birthday. They remember your name. You can also their sister resort down the street. Activities & performance were amazing. Water activities right at the resort🩷 They are above 5 stars. Book with them

The Fabulous Nikki checked us in and her energy was perfect for a front desk representative. We had a issue one day and the guy at the front desk with the pretty eyes was also phenomenal but I hate that I can't remember his name. The 2 guys that carried our bags were very professional. Bartenders at every point were friendly and every drink was mixed properly and tasted delicious. The ocean front view was breathtaking and worth the cost. Hands down a 10/10 experience. Will definitely return and tell my friends.

Amazing entertainment team, the food was delicious and there was always plenty of variety at the buffet. The service was always very quick and bar staff were friendly and kept the drinks flowing. There was a good mix of party atmosphere and relaxing vacay vibes.
The room had a bit of a mildew smell to it but overall it was fine. AC blew cold and the minibar was always stocked.
I'd definitely be back to Riu Reggae.

Had 10 nights at the Reggae,we were warmly welcomed .
What a perfect holiday resort, Staff were polite,attentive and smiling , food delicious, with plenty of choice at Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner. Restaurants were booked on the app , once again food was delicious.Bar Staff were always busy , but we got served promptly ,loved the 😋 drinks 🍷 with plenty of choice of cocktails , alcoholic and non alcoholic 👍,
Entertainment from the crew were brilliant , Bolt was my fav 😋 ,they have so much enthusiasm,and mingled with the resort ,plenty to keep you entertained,also plenty of time to relax and just enjoy the scenery ✨🌈😍💥💯🙌

We had a ball. It was in June when I went so it was too darn hot. But the resort was great. Lots of other black travelers were there, great music. Good vibes. Nice accommodations and good service. I enjoyed myself.

Amazing time! The array of foods were wonderful and I liked almost everything I tried. The Italian restaurant was my favorite. We were there over Christmas and on Christmas Eve they had the BEST buffet…with lobster, oysters and shrimp, omg. I’m still thinking about that lobster.

Many of the bartenders were hardworking and enthusiastic but a big shout out to our favorite - Cornell!!! He always put a smile on our faces and we looked forward to seeing him. The entertainment crew were a blast and encouraged you to join in.

The neon party was a lot of fun too, lots of dancing and the face paint was cool. Would love to come back sometime !

My wife and I had a blast at the Riu Reggae. The bartenders, specifically Felicia were amazing! I couldn’t say better things about the great service you receive. The entertainment team was VERY GOOD! They know how to get everyone engaged and having a good time. The evening entertainment was great as well. If you’re looking for a party, this is the place to be. If you’re a “Karen” and want piece and quiet, don’t come here! You can ruin it for everyone else by trying to keep everyone quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a great lively time!

My Girlfriend Yvonne and I had an amazing vacation here. Stayed 10 days. Room 0119 jr suite ocean view was very clean and nice. Food was very good. Staff was very nice. Professional polite and fun. Special shout outs to Renay Janae Shadow Flexx Jodie Michelle Sasha Cornell Winston Felisha Kemar Bolt Afro. Best resort I've been to for cleanliness food quality politeness and entertainment. Will recommend and be back!!

So many things to do, so little time. Resort was awesome, we could've stay on the resort the entire time because there was so much to do. I recommend this resort for anyone looking to have a good time and meet new people. It definitely didn't disappoint.

The rooms are very spacious and the decor is very modern. We had an issue with finding a roach in our room when we brought this to their attention, they were very apologetic. We asked to moved rooms however, we were told there were no rooms available. They then quickly sent someone to spray our room and ensure there were not other critters. We did a dinner on the beach where it is advertised as private however there were two other couples. The food at the Italian restaurant was much better. The coordination of the dinner was not well thought out as the music from the stage clashed with the ambience music they put on for those having dinner on the beach. The entertainment was the best part of our trip. Bravo (from palace) and Annie (from reggae) made our experience in this hotel incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure we were included in the activities and were extremely personable. They definitely deserve a raise!!! They have a passion for hospitality and it shows!

Holiday in paradise made even more special by the wonderful staff!! The whole entertainment team and dancers phenomenal!! Life guards are our besties now! Shout out to Stephanie in the restaurant, outstanding service!! All the bar team THANK YOU!! I would like to ask....please allow staff to eat on site from the restaurant, they more than deserve it. Gift shop a little cheeky at pricing fem hygiene things at no less than 12USD bit naughty!! Would definitely recommend this hotel and will miss you all. Thanks again xxx
