Really nice port. It has changed a lot over the years for good. The once small and modest fishing village has now transformed into a bustling hub of commerce and tourism. The development and expansion of the port have not only brought economic prosperity to the region but have also enhanced its overall charm and appeal.

In the past, this port primarily served as a local trade center, with fishermen bringing in their daily catch and local merchants exchanging goods. However, as time went on, the port started attracting attention from neighboring regions, leading to gradual growth and modernization.

One of the most remarkable changes is the physical transformation of the port itself. What used to be a simple dock now boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including multiple berths capable of accommodating large cargo ships and luxurious cruise liners. The addition of modern storage facilities and advanced loading and unloading systems has significantly increased the port's efficiency and capacity.

Alongside the physical development, the port has also experienced a remarkable shift in its economic landscape. Various industries have flourished here, ranging from traditional fishing to manufacturing and international trade. The port now serves as a major gateway for importing and exporting goods, attracting businesses from around the world and boosting the local economy.

Moreover, the port's growth has had a positive impact on the surrounding community

Nice stop, lots of local shop owners selling souvenirs. Good local food to try and always a live band or other musician playing until the sun goes down.

The gated port tourist area is full of nice shops at reasonable prices. Lots of rum liquors to try! If you want to tour the surrounding area you MUST take a guided tour! Crime and drugs are very prevalent in Jamaica! Not a place you want to explore on your own. Very sad because it's a beautiful island.

Nice port area with everything yu need. Choices of food and drink items with both local fare and even US choices. Lots of items to browse or buy and friendly vendors willing to haggle the price with you. If you go stop and see Mr. Williams right behind the stage. He sells items he's crafted and will even make a fitted hand spun bracelet. Prices are good, lots of things to see ND enjoy.

Entry and exit were easy. Local music and stores were located near the ship. It was a beautiful Port. You must visit White River Calypso Rafting and Tubing and also Dunn's River Falls. Opt out of the video at Dunn's River. It was poorly done, save your $40 but enjoy the experience. Jamaica was IRIE MON!!😉

Everyone is extremely friendly. They are helpful and not just to sell you something. We really enjoyed our experience. We were treated so kind and had wonderful conversations with everyone we came in contact with.

We were on the Disney cruise ship and decided to get off at the port for a few hours. People were friendly and not to pushy towards us purchasing their items. It is a tourist spot so expect to be asked to look and buy items from $1+

Cheap beer and liquor can be purchased here as well as cigarettes and cigars ranging from $5-15.

Grounds were clean with security. We felt safe inside the port gates.

I absolutely loved it here. After the port was closed, the musician in the center kept playing and had all the people on deck singing along. It is truly a memory to never forget.

This is such a beautiful port. Unlike a lot of ports, sellers aren't "attacking" you for Sails. The best spot to get local art is right in the center. Also a great spot to get those famous meat pies! Highly recommend!

Nice port to walk around and explore while on a cruise to Jamaica. Great Jamaican food spots to get a quick bite, gift shops to buy items, and the scenery is gorgeous too.

This is by far my favorite port stop in the Caribbean! I love the vibes. It’s colorful, the shopping is great, there’s upbeat music, and the people (both port staff and shop owners) are friendly. The Port square is big and spacious, as well as beautiful. It’s a fun place to get off and shop or head out from to an excursion.

I love Jamaica, haven't really seen an area I didn't like. Yes, the vendors are super aggressive and will try to trick you into buying their items, don't let them carve your name into anything. They carve it, you bought it. Keep that in mind and you should be golden. Otherwise you'll come home with more trinkets than you have room for.
