Ristorante Franchino

The food was fantastic. We took all the recommendations from our server and he didn't miss. The octopus was the best we had ever had, and squid/calamari is one of my favorite appetizers. The lemon risotto with fish was delicious and of course the lemon dessert, but the orange dessert was one of the best we had ever had... and that is beating a lot of chocolate dishes. Highly recommend.

The food here was outstanding!! My boyfriend and I got the stuffed squid as an appetizer and I’m picky with fish but it was amazing! It wasn’t chewy and there was no strong fish smell. For dinner we shared the beef fillet and the spaghetti with clams and cherry tomatoes. While I like my meat well done and my boyfriend likes it medium/medium rare, he still enjoyed it and we agreed it was super tender and flavorful. The flavor from the spaghetti with clams was so good as well. We completely cleaned our plates so definitely worth a try!

Food was absolutely amazing!!! From the Stuffed Squid and Eggplant Croquettes, to the Roasted Beef Fillet and Spaghetti with Clams - all were very, very flavorful!! I would not add or take away anything at all. The service/waitress was extremely kind and was patient with us as we decided what to get, and actually recommended the Stuffed Squid appetizer. She was very open and told me and my girlfriend that there were more bugs/mosquitoes than usual and suggested to keep the table light off, then turned it on as it started to clear out. Greatly appreciate her for everything. Topped off the night with the Hazelnut biscuit, raspberry, mascarpone cheese and wild berries dessert (also recommended by our waitress) - can’t describe in words how wonderful this was, wish there were more biscuits though to eat with the sweet flavors. Would highly recommend giving Ristorante Franchino a try if you want better than “just” delicious dishes.

Top notch, friendly, gorgeous, 5 star food.. on the way to the beach. We were able to dine in for lunch without being hotel patrons. We sat outside overlooking the coast. We ordered an incredible creamy warm pepper antipasti and a classic pasta dish I’d never had before with asparagus cream inside each pasta piece. Our waitress was lovely and allowed me to speak and practice Italian with her. A definite stay. The decor inside was bright white - just gorgeous. We also could view the people walking below and the dogs playing near the beach. Lovely!

Great spot above Marina di Praia. View is spectacular and the food was great as well. We came for lunch but would be a great spot for dinner. Service was good. Food very good, I will let the pictures speak for themselves

It’s worth to experience. One of the most popular restaurants of Praiano. Located close to border of Furore. The food is amazing and delicious. The finest prep of Italian cuisine. If you’re after the view, better book during lunch. We went late night and it was pitched dark, i recommend during cold season to invest at least in heater stand. All in all worth the visit. Also excellent service from Thomaso. Thank you.

Absolutely spectacular. We enjoyed the ambiance, the service, the scenery and mostly the delicious food and drink. I had the grilled octopus appetizer, the catch of the day, and the lemon cake for desert. The four of us were very pleased. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat!

We ate out a few times during our time on the Amalfi Coast and this restaurant was by far our favourite. Thé aubergine starter was simply amazing. The view is beautiful so we wish we had booked a table for a little earlier to have been able to eat at sunset. The staff are very friendly and attentive also.

Definately a must experience if you are staying in near Praiano!

The food was elegant and exquisite! The view and ambiance elevated the entire dining experience, and the service was of high calibre.

This was one of our better meals in Praiano, and I would highly recommend it!

Incredible view and delicious food! We stopped here for lunch after a morning at Marina di Praiano. The zucchini Pacchero was amazing and the cod w/ onion cream was delicious too!

Food was delicious, especially the seafood, high quality products. Atmosphere was spectacular, extremely clean and the service was great! I would definitely come back again during summer and highly recommend it.

Since we stayed at Hotel Onda Verde (the hotel attached to this restaurant!) we knew we needed to make a reservation here. We we were not disappointed— everything was so fresh, beautifully prepared, and so unique. It was distinctly different than a lot of the seafood meals we have had while in Italy, and we really appreciated that! Also had an amazing glass of wine and an INCREDIBLE carrot cake with gelato on top for dessert — sorry we dont have a photo because we devoured it too fast. We love all the staff here as well, they are all very friendly and helpful!

A beautiful setting overlooking the sea. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service very welcoming. Would definitely go back!

From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience at Ristorante Franchino. We were running 15-20 mins late and called to let the restaurant know - they were accommodating and held our table, still providing us perfect seaside seating. The service of Tomas and team made the night so enjoyable with recommendations, quick service, and laughter. Each dish was better than the one before. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and may even come back before we leave Praiano!

Wow! What an experience. The food, the service and the view! Our meals were delicious. Best meal in Italy! We had the king prawn risotto & ravioli. Heaven! Thankyou!

Just go. The food is outstanding, the views, phenomenal and service, super friendly. Despite being advised to try other local restaurants, we came here 2 nights back to back and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Highly recommended!

Wow! A phenomenal, family-run restaurant in Praiano. The food was fantastic. We had the crudo to start, the burrata zucchini pasta, and the lemon cake for dessert. The views were gorgeous as well. Also, bonus points for having an elevator.

Had a great dinner with an even better view. I recommend coming but do get a reservation for weekends in the summer if it's at or after 7.

The view of this place is certainly the highlight and there are plenty of outdoor tables for excellent viewing. The sun also tucks behind the hills around 5 or 6 so you can fine outside without the blazing sun on you but still lighting up the marina below. It really is perfect.

The food was better than I expected from a place with a great view. Not amazing but pretty good. We enjoyed the pasta alla bolognese and gilet mignon with potatoes. And we ended with the Caprese Al limoncello for dessert which I highly recommend. It was perfect to share and was just delicious.

The service was great, no complaints there. They even let us sit at a table without a reservation if we ate quick enough (about 1 hour and 15 minutes) to allow their reservation to have the table.

Every single plate was absolutely perfect ! The view is stunning. We had a lovely experience !
