Trattoria San Gennaro

The meal we had here was one of the best out of our four week holiday travelling all over Italy! Simple, good quality food, and big portions.

Had dinner here on our final night in Praiano. Friends had suggested it and we were thrilled, the view is amazing, it’s lovely and relaxed and the food was delicious! Hearty, flavoursome and made with love. A definite family restaurant vibe that is exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

A find of a restaurant after we had completed the "Path of the Gods" walk. Great value, really loved the mixed seafood entree. Heaps of tasty fresh grilled octopus, mussels and other seafood. And in a quiet location just off the main road, and overlooking the historic church with view down the coast

A FANTASTIC FAMILY RESTAURANT
A genuine family restaurant with unbelievable food, prompt service, and nice people. We felt so good here that we came here for dinner three times in four days. We spoiled ourselves with some of the menu's specialties, which all exceeded our expectations. Tasty food, a warm ambiance, and friendly people are the simple recipe for a great place to eat in Praiano. The view over Piazza St. Gennaro, having Positano at the far end, was just another bonus besides the glass of limoncello offered on the house!

Fantastic family owned restaurant in the heart of Praiano, overlooking the Amalfi coast! A perfect place to enjoy an aperitivo or to have lunch/dinner. The service and staff are incredible. They make you feel as though you are eating with family. The food and overall experience was so amazing that we ate at this trattoria every day during our stay in Praiano. The portions are very generous. We already cannot wait to be back!

On our first evening in Praiano, my friends and I chose to eat dinner at Trattoria San Gennaro.
We had Scialatielli w/ clams & mushrooms, Margherita pizza, homemade lemon delight and limoncello 🍋 Food was amazing, service was spot-on.. I, of course, was enchanted by the historical church next to the restaurant that dates back to AD 1589.. and God finished up this wonderful evening with friends by painting the sky with a colorful sunset 🤎 #holleysgirlphotography

Fantastic food and very charming restaurant with a great view. Pizza and pastas were all delicious. Generous servings and very reasonably priced. We had been recommended this restaurant by two separate guests at our hotel who were planning to go back and we'll be doing the same. Planning to come back for our last night.

We had a terrific lunch here. It is casual and colourful and the food is generous and so delicious. It also serves wonderful wine and we were given a glass of Meloncello after our food, and it is my new favourite drink! The service was also excellent and the view amazing. Just go and enjoy!

Such a magic place to enjoy an outstanding view of the sunset from the terrace . One more positive aspect about this place is that it includes also the parking space and there is a guy who help you to make the u turn in case you might find some struggle. In other words you don’t have nothing to worry about it .
Make sure to try SCIALATIELLI , it’s a very specific kind of homemade pasta that they do and it can be prepared in different way , including vegetarian one .

Very nice place with delicious dishes. Large portion, and the seafood spaghetii very good with lots of seafood, I was really suprised. Pizza also very good. Just the staff could smile little but more :) definitely recommend. Go for it!

Been staying in praiano for the past week and have eaten at many places (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and this is by far the best. Every dish we’ve had from here has been excellent and the serving sizes are great.
The scialatelli with mixed seafood is by far the best seafood pasta I’ve had in Italy so far, so much seafood in there. Service is great and very fast and the family running the restaurant are very kind. Would 100% recommend. We’ve been here 5 times for lunch/dinners and it’s been amazing every time

One of my favourite restaurants in Amalfi Coast. Beautiful view, tasty traditional food and lovely staff that makes you feel at home. After every dinner they offer italian liquors. Eating here is like emerging yourself in southern italian culture. Can't wait to be back. 🍋💙

Truly the best spot in the Amalfi coast in my opinion. The freshest ingredients, unmatchable views, and great service. San Gennaro is tucked in the quiet, yet lively, town of Praiano. I ate here on two occasions and highly recommend: the sea bass with salad, margherita pizza, mussel and clam pasta, and the tiramisu. They give you a limoncello with your bill and the prices are so reasonable. Run don’t walk here if you’re staying in the Amalfi coast. Truly no excuses, there’s a bus stop across the street.

Very italian, very nice, food food, wish we could stay more, loved it!!

The food is pretty good nothing too special but solid good Italien pizza and pasta, the view however is breath-taking, I definitely recommend eating here :)!

Service was absolutely impeccable. Food was incredible. We went here 2 nights in a row because it was so amazing. Perfect for family style and sharing plates. Amazing prices. They took our photo and printed it out for us without even asking which was such a sweet touch. The view of the piazza and sunset was gorgeous too. Best place to eat im Praiano!

Fantástico!! The food is delicious, and the service and atmosphere were awesome. We ate here several times during our stay and it was always great. We had their pizza, pasta with shrimp & zucchini, lasagna, and chicken milanese. Do yourself a favor and make sure you stop by.

Portion sizes are huge and very generous pours for wine. We tried the lasagna and margarita pizza. We were happy with both. Service was great and the food came out fast.
