Gardar on Reynisfjara Beach

We could not have asked for a better stay. The cabin was cosy and warm with stunning views. We saw a beautiful sunset and the northern lights from the porch. It is only a few steps from Black Sand beach. Ragnar was a very welcoming host and gave us plenty of useful information upon checking in.

Very clean and nice cottage. Unbeatable view and location. Nice hosts as well. Will definitely want to stay here shall we visit the south coast of Iceland again!

Great views of the 6th most beautiful beach on the planet, black sand and massive waves crashing down. The game of Thrones was filmed around here, and many of the rock formations were in the movie. Never turn your back to the angry ocean! We witness a lady discovering why.

Wonderful place to stay! I felt like I was staying with a relative rather a B&B. Cabin was very warm, welcoming, and cozy. Spotlessly clean as well.

Not to mention the stunning views and close proximity to the beach.

The view from the cottage is breathtaking. Ragnar is a great host and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Vik. You can walk to the famous beach in 2 mins and can have it all to urself before the tourists arrive. Cottage is well equipped and u can buy all groceries in Kr. In Vik.

My friends and I stayed there early April 2016. The weather wasn’t so nice and we arrived to the cabin past sunset so it was a bit terrifying to drive there and park right at the cliff (!!) The owner was very nice and his dog was so happy too lol
The cabin is small but well equipped. The view was SO great. There is a small kitchen so we cooked breakfast. I still remember how I was drinking coffee the next morning overlooking the “black beach.” Loved it.
I wish the weather was better so we could see the stars and northern lights but it was unfortunately raining for most of the night.
I’d love to go back someday!

Ragnar's place was just wonderful. It's so close to the black beach, the cabin is cute, clean and has everything you need. Nice and warm as well during the cold winter nights! Ragnar himself was very friendly and helpful!

Delightful cottages right on the black sand beach! We stayed in the white stone cottage. Certainly not inexpensive but i suppose the location is difficult to beat. The booking was easy by email. Accept cash only. Bed linen and towels provided. The tiny space was very well laid out that it felt spacious and comfortable. The sofa bed was quite good. The kitchenette was surprisingly well equipped. The shower stall was great too. Lots of tourists visiting till late night but after that, the black sand beach felt like our private space. Must be amazing to watch the northern lights here but not in july with 24 hr daylight! There is no tv or wifi. But still great for a night's stay!

The advantage of this cottage is absolutely the location. You are in the most famous beach of Iceland and the view it's crazy! The cottage is cozy and in my opinion it fit perfectly for 2 people. Ragnar, the owner, is a very friendly person.

Warm welcome and very nice place to stay. We enjoyed listening to the rain on the cabin during the night, and the astonished view for breakfast. It was really clean, well furnished! Highly recommended and i hope i'll be able to come back. Thanks

This place is beyond magical. Powerful, wonderful, amazing. You cannot come to Iceland without stopping here. For sure a 10/5 on a rating scale!!

It's a great spot, but you should take into consideration the weather conditions. We got rain and wind, so it was not a pleasure to enjoy the beach :D

Very enjoyable rock formations and nice wlak on the beach. Great place. Easy parking.

Aboslutly stunning and a must see in Iceland if you ask me.

Somehow reminded me of the Game of Throne. Superb view and close walk from parking lot is a plus.
