Really good soups (the best is the red hot lava one) where you can get a refill. The bread and butter is amazing. They're between 2290 and 3590 isk.

The chocolate banana cake works surprisingly well. The banana filling makes it airy so the chocolate isn't too overpowering.

The customer service is pretty good and they're really helpful and friendly. They even gifted me a cake because it was my birthday!

The bread bowl soup was amazing. They even offer seconds! Highly recommend the fish curry soup if you're a fan of fish.

I love it! I tried hot lava soup in breadbowl! it was yummy and you can ask for second bowl for free. Staff are amazing! it was so nice to have bowl of soup here after a long cold day. There is tap water in the bar for free, as well

You can find lava show tickets inside. Toilets are extremely so clean and smells great! I love the design, too

I went to the Soup Company in Iceland after an ice cave tour, and it was a great spot for a warm and filling lunch. The red hot lava soup was incredibly tasty, although a bit spicy. We also tried the creamy cauliflower soup, but it was a bit more watery not creamy as I expected. Using bread as a bowl was a cute touch. The flavor was like chili but had a unique twist. The best part? They offer free refills for a second bowl, and their bread is so soft and delicious with the butter they give you. If you're in the area, definitely give it a try. You'll leave with a full and warm belly!

We stopped here on our drive from the glacier lagoon back to Reykjavik. Ordered almost everything on the menu, everything was SO good! Today was a really cold October day with rain, hail, and snow, so we really wanted something warm. The soup has free refill and we asked if we could have more cheese for the pasta and they came out from the kitchen to bring us some more. Service was fast and workers were very friendly.

The Soup Company was potentially one of my favorite places to eat in all of Iceland! I came back here two times because the food was so delicious! I tried each soup, my favorites were the Lamb and Rice Soup and the Chili/Lava Soup. The bread is potentially the softest/fluffiest bread you'll ever have! If I lived in Vik, I would eat there weekly!

We did visit The Soup Company after an outstanding tour with Troll Expeditions at the Katla volcano and glacier, and it was the absolute choice for a warm and delicious dinner.
The food and especially the salad, the bread and the soups(second refill included) we tried are tasteful, served in a cozy environment with great service.

Great food, soups were delicious. If you still hungry you can go for seconds for free. Expensive though but good!

Loved this place! They have a soup tasting that comes with 3 different, generous sized bowls of soup so you don't have to choose just 1 flavor! It comes with a large side of bread slices. This was a perfect meal on a cold day after exploring the glacier.

I was hesitant to try lamb at all so their lamb soup was a great mini intro to that. I also had the red lava and Indian winter soups, those 2 were a bit spicy but I loved all 3!

Being able to get a second serving of any soup is incredible. I wish other places did something like this. We were able to both have a full bowl of each soup we wanted because of it. We left full and with a warm feeling in our soul. A perfect spot to grab dinner after a late Lava Show. The lava soup was perfect, and the Icelandic lamb soup was comforting. The bread bowl was surprisingly soft considering the black appearance! Overall excellent

Great food. The soup in a bread bowl is only supposed to be for their traditional beef stew (which was very tasty!) but they also allowed us to "upgrade" to also have the lamb soup in a bread bowl too.

As far as Icelandic food goes, this soup kitchen was top notch, excellent spot for a warm tummy filler. The Lava Soup is recommended - a little heat with plenty of chilli flavours.

Will definitely recommend stopping by if you're tired of the typical food fare in the country.

They provide refill for a second bowl for free as i feel they have the confidence and generosity that their soup is delicious and will make you crave more. Their bread also great. Dont hesitate if you are in the area do come and try. You will have a full and warm belly afterwards.

Great place for a warm and hearty lunch when visiting black sand beaches. The red hot lava soup that looks like volcanic mountain was amazingly delicious. It was very cute to use the bread as a bowl. It tastes similar to chili, but something is different. The spaghetti bolognese was also very good in taste and quantity. If you're very hungry must order this.

A popular restaurant, but it’s well deserved. The line was quite long when we got there but we managed to snag a table. I got the Red Hot Lava soup in a black bread bowl. The soup was delicious and hearty. The bread tasted like bread but the visual appearance was great. My dining partner tried the rest of their soups through the sampler. Their lamb soup was good as well, but their cauliflower and Indian winter soups fell short. However, all soup orders get one free refill which is great for the value side of things. All in all a great place to grab a meal, especially when it’s rainy.

This lovely little Cafe in the picturesque village of Vik was a great rest stop on the south coast of Iceland. Delicious selection of soups served as a trio or individually. Friendly attentive staff and very accommodating to our tour group.

I almost left after realizing this is a smaller cafe inside the lava show building. It seemed like it would be touristy and mediocre. Boy am I glad I decided to try it. It’s weird to brag about how delicious soup is, but this was really incredible soup. I got the flight and chose the lava soup, lamp soup and fish soup. Also ordered the beet salad to share. All of the soups are so delicious and comes with the most fluffy bread. You can also refill your soup for free. It was already a lot of food so I didn’t need to do that. The salad was also unreal. Really glad I gave this place a try. It’s perfect.

This place was so delicious that we went twice while we were in Vik! I highly recommend the yellow curry fish soup and the Arctic macarons. Such a cute local spot.

Highly recommend this place! Very friendly people and tasty soups. Also we have tried bana cream cake made my owner, it was delicious!
