Sundlaug Seltjarnarness

Another great Icelandic pool,Sundlaug. I was warned at another pool that if I show up early in the morning right when the pool opens up, you’ll be surrounded by older retired people talking about politics in the pool. Unfortunately I didn’t understand Icelandic, so it didn’t matter, but surprisingly many of the older Icelanders do you speak English well. You might get the impression that only the younger folks speak English well

My favorite pool in Reykjavík. Several hot-tubs, cold plunge pool, nice swimming pool and bubble pool. Changing rooms are clean and there are two very powerful showers. Great for kids, two shallow pools.

Very nice pool, lots of options. Calm vibe in the evening, they did a great job with the lighting.

Nice swimming pool. Steam, sauna and lots of snall pools: ocean view.
Locals used to sit and chat in the hot pots, so the swimming area is not significant, but for the cosyness and the feeling of being part of the local community woth the visit.

Everything nice and clean, one pool also with massage valves and same type of pools as in the other swimming pools in Reykjavik.

Why can’t we have these amazing community pools in my neighborhood. Cheap alternative to Blue Lagoon, although not equal by any stretch of the imagination. Facilities were clean and fully stock with basic toiletries. My children thoroughly enjoyed the water slide & shallow warm pool. A must do when visiting Iceland, take advantage of their numerous community pools. It’s still thermal water based & excellent for mind & body.

We visited two or three times while staying in Seltjarnarnes. Mostly a local crowd with hot tubs, a steam room and lap pool. Usually a few kids but their pool/play area was separate from the main pool and lounge area. Wish we had community facilities like this in the States.

A lovely new facility in a quiet suburb close to central Reykjavik. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing soak in one of the numerous hot tubs of varying temperatures, for a tiny fraction of the price of the Blue Lagoon.

I used to go to this swimming pool with my mom when I was a kid, even though there was another one closer to our home. Now after the changes its even better. It's so convenient for people with young and active kids.

Super clean well kept pool. Amazing showers, funky soap dispensers, nice lockers and the facilities are well respected.

Loved it here. Awesome heated pools of varing temperatures. Great after a yoga class.

Very cosy but lots of children and old people but there’s a good and big massage hot tub

Very clean pool with a steam bath, big slide and several jacuzzi.

I always go to this swimingpool. It has a seawater in it. And i live in Seltjarnarnes so it is only 200m to there.
