Great place to visit, it is quite a walk to the bottom of the waterfall but worth every step. If you don't want to risk getting wet feet, make sure to cross the river early as later you'll have to jump rocks over a lot of water.

One of my favourite waterfalls in Iceland!! Visible from the road and a nice walk (~30 mins each way) takes you right to the base of it where you can truly take in the power and beauty. Free gravel parking lot right off the highway. I would rate this as a MUST see

This is a lovely waterfall. It is visible from a distance but you can also do a short walk/hike to get closer. The parking is free right off the road. Go through the gate and follow up the path. You will see many sheep along the way! You will reach a sign that says to follow along the stream. Walk along the stream. You can stop there, or you could decide to cross the stream (there are some rocks you can use to cross). You can continue to walk up from there. I would certainly recommend having waterproof boots and pants, and perhaps a waterproof jacket. A beautiful view!

This was our first stop in Iceland trip and it did not disappoint us by any means. Not a very popular waterfall but it is really beautiful. There is a small trek of around 45 mins to reach closer to the waterfall. You can park the car in roadside and take the path beside the water stream. Not only the waterfall, the whole landscape is absolutely breathtaking. Should not miss this when you are visiting west of Iceland.

Beautiful waterfall on Snæfellnes Peninsula. There is a small parking lot right off the freeway. The gate has a small latch for human entry (keep sheep inside). Probably approx 1 hour ground trip over grassy trails with minor stream crossings. Beautiful!

Great easy hike to a really nice waterfall. You get to walk by sheep and horses and a really nice river. The landscape is beautiful. The waterfall is also home to many birds and it’s really nice how they all fly above you. Would recommend this if you have time…it is also nice that there aren’t hundreds of people around you.

Unscheduled and unexpected highlight of my trip. Just off the road there is a free car park where you can open a gate and cross a horse farm to this waterfall. Beautiful walk with lots of horses. The waterfall is pretty and largely deserted. We saw I think 5 other people there. About an hour round trip to reach the waterfall from the parking lot.

Cool waterfall, nice place to stretch your legs, about a 20 min walk along the stream from the free car park. We couldn’t manage to get as close as we’d have liked, but we were the only ones there which made it better!

A flat easy walking to the waterfall about 10 minutes, river along the way is super clear and lambs can be seen along the way too.

One of the best waterfalls that I seen in Iceland. Very short walk to the waterfall and you can climb to the top.

Amazingly beautiful, but hard to reach place.
You have to pass through mountain river with a sleepery stones, gris, to climb carefully.
But it worth of it. It's looking great. The view from the top is stunning 👌

A short walk from the car park to the falls. A really beautiful place from up close or afar! Worth adding as a stop on your way through 😊

Top 3 waterfall definitely. It is a little bit of a hike to the waterfall and you will need to climb the fence to see the waterfall up close - but super worth it.

Seems pointless to review a beautiful waterfall such as this as how can it not be 5 stars? Our first stop in Iceland…what an amazing memory…such a beautiful place and there are probably dozens more like it unmarked and inaccessible
In Iceland. We hiked a little past the fence (sorry Iceland) but the beauty of of the foss was too hard to ignore. Thank you Iceland for this treasure!

This might have been my favorite location in Iceland. It was empty and beautiful. We walked as far up as we could go and sat on a rock for half an hour all alone!

Close walk from the parking lot that includes crossing the river by stepping on slippery wet stones

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. It isn’t large and powerful, but it is layered and allows for great depth perception photos

I'm giving this one a 5 because even though you can't really get close, it's pretty, in a pretty area, and it's not overrun like some other areas. That's partially because it takes a short hike to get to. As an added bonus, it's free.

This is a beautiful waterfall! The river was blocking the path so we didn't dare get closer (seems some people went through the fence but I'm not about that life!) But I recommend this little jaunt to this waterfall. Lots less busy then Kirkjufellsfoss!
