Stöð Guesthouse and Apartments

The rooms and common area was very clean, by far the cleanest ones we have stayed in Iceland.
Beds were super comfy and the comforters lived by their name , just the perfect weight to sink you in and make you want to stay in bed all day, very warm as well for those cold nights.

The view from our room was stunning, you are a four minute drive and 15 mins walk to kirkjufell but I would recommend to walk by the beach access, get some crisp air , feel the sea water and save some money on the parking at kirkjufell.

The staff was great although I only spoke to them in the phone, I was arriving late from the check in time but they assured me everything would be just fine.

So far my favorite guest house in Iceland.!

Great guesthouse, cooked our own meal. Enjoyed the location and the atmosphere of the place. Could do with a bigger toaster, but that's not a big deal. Clean, quiet and comfortable

Location is perfect if You want to be near Kirkjufell. Rooms are comfortables and Big. You can cook there so if your budget is tie, works for you

We had to book at the guesthouse last minute and it was easy and very cheap! There is no free breakfast or restaurant but they do have a kitchen where you can cook your own food, so long as you wash the dishes and clean up after. Rooms are quaint and pretty, and the view of the sea from our room was gorgeous. The owner(?) was very kind and welcomed us through text. Check in and out were very simple and straight-forward. The shower in the room was very small and water can easily splash out all over the floor if you’re not careful to close the doors all the way, so be aware of this when you shower! Loved this guesthouse and would absolutely book again if we stay in the town again! Free wifi too!

Very good guesthouse. It's actually the first one we're in but we prefer it over the hotels we stayed at. The shower cabin is a bit small and it's a shame there's no hair dryer but otherwise it's perfectly fine. The view is amazing by the way, looking out onto the sea, Kirkjufell and the snowy mountains.

Clean, spacious rooms with private bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. We were treated to this view out of our window for several hours! Drove a minute down the road to witness Kirkjufell lit up by the Aurora. Unforgettable experience

Convenient location in Snaefellsnes. More remote than nearby Stykkisholmur, with a beautiful view and convenience to an outstanding restaurant. Fun space for a family of 4 (up to 6, really) with bunk beds and double bed set-up. Great kitchen/communal space. Very helpful and sweet reception hosts.

Beautiful guesthouse, the rooms are big and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and big, there is also a siting area, tv with Netflix. The view from the room is really beautiful. I really recommend you stay in this place because you will love it.

Everything was clean. The Apartment was quiet with a nice lake view. Kitchen has a lot of equipment and gets cleaned every day. Room is included with a bathroom and has enough space for everything.

The location is incredible. We saw the northern lights from here. The owner was so kind and helpful. The kids found the sofa bed a little uncomfortable but aside from that we loved it.

Nice rooms and location

Das Zimmer ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet gewesen. An jeder Bettseite eine Steckdose und ein Nachtlicht. Toilette und Dusche waren sehr sauber.

Der allgemeine Aufenthaltsraum war sehr groß, dort haben viele Urlauber Platz zum sitzen.
Am Fernseher selber lässt sich entspannt Netflix genießen, hier sind bereits Profile vorgespeichert.
Allgemein sind etwas wenig Töpfe und Pfannen zur Verfügung, aber man kommt gut aus.
Die Sauberkeit ist auch in Ordnung.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist wirklich top. Man hat einen direkten Blick auf den Kirkjufell und kann dementsprechend genau die Aurora abpassen. Man hat auch direkt vor dem haus eine schöne Perspektive und genügend Platz um sich auszubreiten.

Waren rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne nochmals hier her.

Gemütliches Gästehaus. Die Zimmer und das Bad sind sauber und gemütlich.
Es gibt eine große Küche, in der alles vorhanden ist und ausreichend Tische, um zu essen.
Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen und wenn man als Wunsch Meerblick angibt, hat man direkte Sicht auf den berühmten Berg Kirkjufell.
Idealer Ausgangspunkt, wenn man die Halbinsel Snæfellsness anschauen und bewandern will.
Gegenüber ist ein Restaurant, in dem man total lecker Essen kann. Tip: unbedingt Platz reservieren, sonst hat man keine Chance, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Es heißt "Bjargarsteinn Mathús".
Habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Da noch keine Rezessionen vorhanden sind, machen wir mal den Anfang :)

Wir haben eine Nacht im Guesthouse verbracht und waren sehr positiv überrascht!!! Erst hatten wir bedenken weil nirgends Bewertungen zu finden waren und der Preis pro Nacht (~70€) das beste war, was wir in unserem knapp zwei wöchigen Urlaub in Island gesehen haben.

Die Lage ist top, man befindet sich unten im Hafen von Grundafjordur und hat in jede Richtung einen tollen Ausblick. Meine Sorge als Fotograf, das die angezeigten Bilder in Photoshop entstanden sind waren unnötig.

Unser Zimmer war zwar nicht riesig, aber groß genug das man zwei große Koffer komplett ausbreiten konnte, sich aber noch frei bewegen kann.

Alles in allem die Unterkunft die uns bisher am meisten zugesagt hat!

Preis/Leistung absolut top 👍🏼

Schönes, sauberes Gästehaus, gute Lage direkt am Hafen, je nach Zimmer mit Blick auf den Hafen oder den Kirkjufell. Alles macht einen recht neuen Eindruck. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, gerne wieder!
