Great experience! The gentleman at the front was very informative when we asked about the different pastries. He was very kind and even made further suggestions for the coffee. The food was delicious, and the facility was clean. It is a quaint and relaxing place to stop and have a bite to eat. They also have sandwiches for a more savory option! I definitely recommend!

Great place to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch when leaving or going to the Keflavik airport. The pastries, breads and sandwiches look and taste incredible. Also great coffee. We stopped here twice on our recent Iceland vacation, once on arrival at 7am, and again for lunch before our afternoon flight home.

Absolutely delicious bakery and the perfect lunch. We both had a sandwich - mine on cheese bread with bacon, Brie, red peppers and some sort of delicious sauce. My husband had the same thing on a croissant. We bought and split 2 cupcakes - both delicious (though I favoured the oreo one). We wish we were here longer and could have tried more of their baked goods - everything looked amazing.

Pastries are amazing and so fresh. Good variety of baked goods, cakes, and coffee. It's close to the airport so perfect stop for provisions before you head out in your trip.

So so good! The pastry were delicious and not too sweet. I got a pain au chocolat and my husband got some sort of custard pastry. We also got coffee while we were there!

They were very friendly and spoke English. Would definitely visit again!

Great kickoff to an Iceland vacation, especially before hitting the blue lagoon!

Good pastry selection, tasty food, and has some canned drinks etc. You could take to go.

This is a great bakery to stop by for breakfast as it's right by the airport. They have an assortment of pastries including cinnamon rolls, donuts, and bread. Reasonably priced too compared to brau and co so would recommend!

We loved this bakery! I tried their cinnamon roll and my husband had a custard-filled danish. They were both really good. They have the biggest bear claws that I have ever seen, so we ordered one to go. It was also the best tasting bear claw I have ever had. I wish we were in town longer to try more of their baked goods.

Made a spur of the moment trip and stayed just outside Keflavík Airport. Their breakfast sandwiches and pastries were amazing! Everyone was very welcoming each morning I was there. The coffee was also outstanding. This was my 3rd trip to Iceland and will not be my last! Kökulist bakery will definitely be my stop for breakfast!

The BEST breakfast pastries ever! We had some of the most delicious and scrumptious breakfasts here, and the people here in this bakery were the nicest. This was our first stop in Iceland and what a great impression of the country! Highly recommend this bakery!

Delicious and convenient. We stopped by twice, at the beginning and end of our trip. The pistachio roll (think small cinnamon roll sized) is especially lovely. We also tried several other pastries, donuts, and the ham and cheese croissant. All were great.

Absolutely delicious and tons of options! Everything looked amazing! We actually stopped back in a second time just to get another Pistachio roll. So good!

Very kind staff. Lots of wonderful options to choose from. Close to the airport and open early (which is good if your flight arrives early in the morning). They have a vegetarian sandwich, which can be rare to find. Coffee, sweet pastry, collab soda and a large bathroom.

Upon touching down in the land of fire and ice at an ungodly hour, my wife and I discovered that Reykjavík was still wrapped in slumber's tight embrace—all save for the welcoming glow of "Kokulist Ehf." Stepping inside, we were greeted by the cozy melody of small, charming tables nestled within an intimate setting, each one whispering tales of travelers and locals alike crossing paths.

The café itself, a kaleidoscope of warmth in the hushed Icelandic dawn, offered refuge and a brew to melt away the travel frost. With hands wrapped around steaming cups of Americano (priced at a modest 1240 kr), we savored the rich, bold flavors that seemed to pay homage to the volcanic heart of this island. Accompanying this liquid embrace was the Skinkuhorn (595 kr)—a delightful pastry that's both a testament to local flavors and a flaky, buttery nod to the universal language of comfort food.

As the world outside began to stir, Kokulist Ehf stood as a beacon of Icelandic hospitality, its ambiance a blend of modernity and homely charm, with an open display of mouthwatering pastries that promised and delivered delight. This little haven didn’t just serve breakfast; it served an experience—a culinary prelude to the adventures that lay in the land of the midnight sun. Five stars to Kokulist Ehf, where the coffee is as robust as the landscapes and the pastries as warm as the welcome.

We stopped here for coffee and breakfast after landing at the airport. The coffee was very good. We had doughnuts and croissants there as well and they were so fresh and delicious. Everything here looked so good and I wanted to try everything. It's easy to get to and worth the visit.
