Amazing service and lovely bartender! Passionate about her craft. Amazing cocktails and worth a visit if you are in Vik and need a place to wind down with a great vibe. Speak easy like in the basement of the restaurant upstairs!

My wife and I had a great time and great drinks at Kjallarinn. The location is in the basement of the Suður-Vík restaurant. The two business are separate but complement each other very well. The bartender is clearly very passionate about mixology and has crafted her own cocktail recipes with excellent ingredients and amazing presentation. She is also a joy to talk to! The vibe is very relaxed and comfortable as well; don't spend a night in Vik without checking out Kjallarinn!

We visited Vik a few times but it was the first time we came across a place with such an atmosphere. The bartender was doing her job with passion and showed us the Icelandic magical atmosphere. We were blown away by the attention to detail and the way the cocktails were served. You must visit this place on your trip to Iceland.

I came after the opening and they already have few customers but despite of this the bartender lady took attention on me and greeting me with smile and offer me a seat while I am waiting. After few minutes she started to make my cocktail. If I remember well it was the name of " The insane of the sheephead" I was on video call with my sister and the lady let me show how se makes the cocktail. Made my day and my sister. And not last the cocktail was super tasty and the making process was awesome. Definitely I will come back.

Such a cool bar in the basement! Kaja is one of a kind bartender with the whole menu made from scratch. 5 stars for sure!!!
