Guesthouse Hof

My room was double booked due to a system glitch. Owner went to great length to offer my family an alternative place to stay during peak season. Checked with me several times to make sure we can find the place without any issue. Highly recommended.

Very nice, quiet place to visit and unwind after being out all day. We felt it was very cozy. Biggest con was bad wifi, which had poor signal in the cabins. There was good signal in the common space.

The host accomodated with a one day notice from us to check in a night early and it wasnt an issue at all. We arrived after hours and the key was waiting for us, and our room was made up and warmed up, fresh linen and bedding and everything clean. This is no 5 star hotel in the city, so don't come with those type of expectations. But if you're looking for somewhere comfortable and warm to stay, this is it. We really enjoyed the hot tub and what a treat it was to see northern lights while soaking. The ocean view from the room is also beautiful. We stayed one night while on iur ring road trip, and would stay again.

Everything is rather rustic and simple but a very nice experienc if you're into that kind of thing. Family-run business. The hostess is exceedingly nice. The cabins are small and cozy, but they are split into two units, so you share a wall with another party. Not for light sleepers.

Our family of 4 stayed in the long yellow turf house and had an awesome stay in one of the units that had 6 beds total with 1 bathroom. Check-in area even displayed some local knits for sale that are beautiful. The amenities like the hot tub were much appreciated, and surrounding beach (a 5-10 min walk out of our unit) was beautiful with absolutely stunning views. I liked the location relative to other sights in the peninsula in respect to driving... a fun small hike of Raudfeldsgja canyon was only 20 min away and the iconic Kirkjufellsfoss vista was 30 in another direction. We didn't have time to hit Djupalonssandur beach and the interesting formations there, but a longer stay would definitely have allowed. Awesome time!

Loved our stay here! Ocean view in our own private little cabin. Space was a little tight with two people moving about but you can tell that the owner put a lot of thought into the space with the storage options she provided. Breakfast was good. There is a shared kitchen facility for guests that could use a deep cleaning (food left behind that is old/outdated/stale) but we were very thankful that pots/pans and utensils were provided for use.

Best experience in my trip in Iceland, the land lady was super useful and kind, she explained everything and helped. The rooms were nicely furnished and the view was breath taking. The small walk to the seashore is very nice and easily accessible

Simple place, but have everything you need if you are looking for something cheap and a good night of sleep before continuing on your journey. The cabins were very close to the beach, nice short walk to see some seals. The owner is a nice lady

Great location, amazing scenery everywhere you look. Accommodation is very cosy, clean and quiet. Every utensil you might need is in the kitchen, extremely helpful staff. Hof guesthouse also can provide jacuzzi, WiFi and most wonderful 20 km long beach in it's backyard

Adorable cabins, economical price, friendly and funny staff, good breakfast. Advance communication through the booking.com app was very helpful. Location is great for those exploring Snæfellsnes peninsula; 15 minute drive to Búðakirkja church, 40 mins to the northern side of the peninsula. Cabin was sparse, as advertised, but gave us a great night's sleep with outlets to charge our devices and a surprisingly nice shower. Very windy location so be careful with those car doors -- though the parking spaces are landscaped to provide a bit of a buffer. Bonus: sheep wandering around nearby!

Host at the reception was very nice and welcoming! The room was perfect, well heated, privet shower and toilet, very nice shared kitchen with all the basics and more! The cutest place in the middle of nature with a great view!

Lovely setting, convenient location, as long as you get a decent bunch of people who clean up after themselves in the shared kitchen it's 100% relaxing.

this was a very nice and inexpensive place to stay for our first night in Iceland. we had some very nice roommates from France and Germany and really enjoyed sharing travel experiences and Culture with them. The Guesthouse staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Fantastic personal cabins! Walking distance to the beach, and was able to see the northern lights here! One of the few great places to stay outside city limits in Iceland.

Simple log cabins in stunning scenery. Staff were excellent, breakfast traditional Icelandic and plenty of it.
Highly recommended if you love being connected to nature.

Returning for the third time. Clean and reasonably priced. Hot tub with ocean view. Hot shower, big kitchen. Easy late check-in.

Guesthouse Hof has been very accomodating and understanding in light of the Covid Situation although we booked a non-refundable room. They have gone above and beyond, exceeding my expectations. This really shows that this business genuinely cares about their clients and I cannot wait to meet them in person once the global pandemic is over. I can’t thank you guys enough.

We stayed at the cute cabins for two nights. Very clean and quiet. Staffs are friendly and helpful! Will definitely go back!
