Ari was a great guide for the ice caves tour. We had an excellent time riding in the SuperJeep and exploring the cave which were breathtaking. Ari was friendly and informative about the glacial caves and Iceland in general. Highly recommend this tour!!

We had an excellent tour guide, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, but he made the experience great. We had lovely weather, so the actual hike through the caves was great. Views were amazing, and the caves were super cool. I would recommend going at the earliest time possible; We went at nine in the morning, and we were the first people out there. It was awesome to be alone on the glacier. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend doing it!

Great experience, 100% recommend! We picked the fast track ice cave tour and had so much fun. Our guide Boris was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable, it was truly a pleasure to spend 3 h with him. He shared very interesting facts not just about the things we were seeing but about Iceland in general. I highly recommend to pick the earliest tour cause we were literally the first ones there and had the caves to ourselves before other cars arrived with much bigger groups. The hike to the cave is quite easy and they provide you with crampons and helmet. The paths are also very well maintained. I enjoyed the fact that this company doesn’t take a lot of people per tour, max 10/12, we were 8 and we saw after us groups with at least 20 people.

My favorite day in Iceland. Our tour guides Mike and Thor were fun and informative! So much beauty hiking up glacier and exploring ice cave!! Ending tour with black sand beach was great! Highly recommend!!!

My daughter and I went on the Ice cave tour with Katlatrack. Our guide, Simon, was top notch. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this experience. Amazing views, and once in a life time experience. If you come to Iceland this is a must do tour!!

Our guide Johannes was great! It poured rain on us and not even that soured our mood, the hike in was breathtaking and the caves themselves were so beautiful! We really enjoyed the entire experience and getting local knowledge was so much fun!

We had the best time with Katlatrack!! Our guide Martin was amazing - so nice, funny, and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough that our tour group was only my husband and I and our guide which made for an amazing experience. We would absolutely come back in a heartbeat. If you have a few extra hours and are around Vik an ice cave tour with Katlatrack is a must!

What a great experience that is truly Icelandic. Our guide, Johannes, was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the glacier as well as Iceland history and music. Ask him about Led Zeppelin. A last minute decision over some Black Crust Pizza (another must) turned into one of the highlights of our trip.

I absolutely recommend Katla Track if you’re doing an ice cave tour. They have all the right vibes, the most capable vehicles and drivers, and amazing guides. The groups are small, the caves are beautiful. Our guide, Boris, was responsible for making this our favourite activity of the whole trip. If you want to have more adventurous experiences, act a little recklessly, and have a ton of fun, I can’t recommend this enough

The ice cave tour including a visit to the black beach is just something so special I can’t describe it. Hiking trough the area of the glacier is breathtaking. Thank you Martin for the tour and all the jokes. Your playlist was well matched to the atmosphere. Beginning the tour with ‘highway to hell’ is such a vibe.

This trip was fantastic! Everything about it was good -- the drive to the glacier, the trip in the ice cat, the short hike to the cave, and of course the cave itself, which was one of the most spectacular places I've ever been. Our guide was wonderful, managing a perfect balance of friendly chatter with allowing us silence to stare out over the landscape. Our tour was delayed 2 hours due to a previous but breaking an axel, but the company updated us in a timely fashion and offered us a full refund (which we didn't take, and instead used the time to explore Vik) The tour was advertised as 3 hours, but due to road conditions took a bit over 4 and a half - not a downside in my book, but if you're keeping to a schedule, it's good to keep in mind that travel in Iceland is always unpredictable. Over all an incredible experience that I will recommend to anyone traveling to the South coast.

My wife and I did the longer Katla Ice Cave Tour, and it was such a cool experience. The Katlatrack staff are very friendly and helpful, and our guide was awesome. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, and I would absolutely encourage anyone thinking of booking an excursion with Katlatrack to go for it.

We had Thor as our guide. This was a great excursion. Took us all over the beach and allowed us to test out our skills with the buggies. Thor also shared some of history of the area and the ecological changes. Great guide and great excursion.

We enjoyed our ice cave tour with Katla Track. Booking online was easy. The meeting point in Black Crust is nice with restrooms, water, and adequate free parking.

Staff asked anyone about motion sickness before boarding the jeep and offered the front seat to whoever needed it. I did take a Dramamine, but I think the ride was less rough than I anticipated.

Our guide, Thomas, was knowledgeable and high energy. He made conversation and offered to take all kinds of pictures for the group. Another Katla Track guide was there inspecting the cave and reinforcing ropes/boards while we visited, which helped me feel safer. The group size and provided gear made for a memorable experience at the glacier.

Disclaimer: The comments and jokes about Katla being active and overdue for eruption freaked me out 🥲 no fault to anyone because I didn’t ask or say anything about being scared. Have a thrilling (and safe) adventure!! Thank you for the tour

This may have been the best thing we did on our trip to Iceland this January. The whole experience far surpassed my expectations. We spent about 1-1.5 hours walking around on the ice and exploring one of the ice caves. Our guide, Marcin, was phenomenal. Crampons, helmets and headlamps are included. Involves walking on uneven surfaces and navigating the ice with crampons, not too physically demanding.

We had a fantastic winter adventure with Katlatrack. Our guide, "Mr. Cool" (Hjörleifr) was funny, patient, and informative. Driving conditions were fairly hazardous from all the snow that came down over the last week, but he got us there and back safely. It was a great tour overall and I'd highly recommend it!

This was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! It was 100% worth it. Our guide Viggo was so knowledgeable, prepared and fun and we felt totally at ease with him. An overall outstanding experience!!!

The ice cave tour is an absolutely incredible experience and I was very happy with Katlatrack.

Their super jeep was definitely the most comfortable of the 4 or so I rode on in Iceland. Nice seats plus stairs to get into the vehicle.

Simon was an awesome guide. He shared a lot of great information and took GREAT photos. I'm the perennially the person bringing up the rear of the hiking group and he checked in on me to make sure I was okay, didn't rush me, and helped point out the best paths to take. I really appreciated his patience.

You won't regret doing this - definitely a bucket list experience!
