Guesthouse Carina

Perfect stay, didn’t catch the name of the guy working (26th-27th April) but he was so welcoming and helpful! Cleanest accommodation that I’ve ever stayed in, which made sharing bathrooms no issue at all. Only negative was that we could hear next door guests through the wall. Would definitely stay again. Checking in and out was perfect and location was great.

This was a phenomenal stay. We got a free upgrade to the apartment (sleeps 5-6) (thank you!). Staff was great, room was clean and spacious. Would recommend the apartment for larger families. It had a full kitchen and stocked with plates, cookware, etc. An AirBNB basically.

Breakfast was 2300 ISK per person but they had a deal for that day for 1850 ISK. The food was okay, but the spread was nice.

The room was tidy and cosy, but the walls were cold. The temperature in the room was quite high, so the humidity condensed on the walls and windows. The breakfast was good and the overall service and bathrooms were satisfactory. It is a good place for and overnight stay before exploring again the great Iceland.

I've only just arrived and leaving a review now because the place is great. Modern, clean design with warm touches, pleasant shared areas, good shower facilities, very good mugs! (I find this is rare in even the best hotels and a decent mug for tea makes me happy), good little kitchen area to make tea, toast or heat up a microwave meal, tea and coffee, clean and comfortable bed, great views, perfect location and very easy to find next the the Welcome to Vik sign.

This guesthouse in Vik has become one of my favorites. The rooms are tidy and cozy and the staff is friendly and helpful, who definetely put their souls to turn your stay into wonderful experience. The location is just fabulous with breathtaking views. Recommend it.

Why we liked this guesthouse: 1) clean, clean, clean. 2) rooms are spacious enough, chairs are available, beds comfortable. 3) common spaces and breakfast buffet are good. We were 3 people for 2 days. No regrets.

Clean rooms, shared bathrooms but very clean!! Shared kitchen with microwave and tv area. Close to everything for an extra decent price and amazing communication from owner!

I'd definitely stay here again. The single room was great for a solo traveler. The bathrooms were clean. The shower was nicer than the one I have at home. The location was perfect. The view from my room was outstanding.

Breakfast maybe not really worth it but the room and the place is super clean and very nice.

Very friendly staff and environment, even tho there were shared bathrooms they were really clean. The breakfast came with a waffle maker, the rooms were really big and came with a table and there were a lot of infos for fun stuff to do around the area. All in all a great experience

This place was awesome! Honestly nicer than most hotels. the shared bathroom was super clean and you barely even realized it was shared. The rooms were very big and extremely clean.

Bring slippers if you’re a slipper person like me!

I was at first concerned about sharing bathrooms but it worked out really well. All bathrooms are cleaned often and the staff is super helpful in getting us whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. The breakfast was filling, loved the homemade bread. The host was very responsive, check-in and check-out was simple. Location is great!

Located at the beginning of the town is this quiet guesthouse, where we were able to rest very well thanks to its comfortable facilities. The room was very spacious, clean and with a comfortable space to work on the laptop for a while.

The shared bathroom was very clean, I liked that a lot. It also has a shared kitchen and a large living room with large windows overlooking the town where you can relax for a while playing board games.

The place offers breakfast for a separate cost that you have to book. It was a good idea to rest here to continue our trip along the Ring Road, I recommend it.

This was a great place! The breakfast we had was the best breakfast we’ve ever had when staying at a hotel. You do have to share a bathroom with others, but this is mentioned when you book so I’m not sure why the negative reviews mention it. It’s a fantastic value; we would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely Guesthouse, perfect location, cozy rooms and spaces. It was so comfortable and fun to spend a night there. I would do it again!

Carina was awesome with us. So kind! We were late and starving the night that we check in, and she offered to us make our dinner. It was delicious 🤤

Wow, what a magical place! Carina welcomed us very well. This is the first time we have stayed in a guest house and I think we had the best experience. The rooms are modern, very clean, spacious and warm. The atmosphere is friendly and you get that "like at home" feeling. It is very well located and parking is free. It is important to remember to be quiet after a certain time so as not to disturb the neighbouring rooms. We really liked the common areas which become real life places where we meet other travellers to exchange on our stay and on the places to see. The kitchen is functional and very well equipped, although it is not possible to prepare elaborate and long dishes, which is normal so as not to occupy the shared kitchen for long. The sanitary facilities are also shared, however they are very clean with towels and hot water available. Keep the place as clean as if you were at home as you will feel it! Thanks again to Carina and the girls who were there for their welcome, their kindness, the work they put in to give us such a great experience.

Very nice staff, nice cozy hyggeliigt hotel with perfect and probably the best view in Vik, great buffet breakfast. I do recommend - both for private and business meetings 👌🇮🇸

Despite it's a guest house that needed to share bathroom I think all good. There were 3 bathroom and small kitchen and big sharing area. Room was decent and clean. Good location that near to Vik church, super market and also 2 mins away from the gathering point for the local activities tour group
