Götur Cottage

Nicely kept place right at the ringroad. There are seven cabins in a row on a large property. The cabin has everything you need and is very cozy. We enjoyed our night there.

The 7 tiny homes next to each other are amazing and have everything 2 people need for a few days and nights. The cottages are cosy, quiet and the bed is soft and great to sleep in, even when the sun never sets. The view to the surrounding hills is breathtaking and the cottages are near to Vík, Black Sand Beach and the starting points for glacier and ATV tours (highly recommended). We regret not to have stayed for longer :)

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Vik and surrounding attractions! The cottage was big enough to comfortably move around and small enough to feel cozy. It is modern and rustic with fabulous views.

Stayed here for 2 nights, highly recommend! Just off the 1 road but super quiet and amazing views. Apartment has everything you could possibly need for a couple of nights and only a short drive from Vik.

Perfect location!! The cottage was the best we stayed at in Iceland - good blackout curtains, comfortable bed, large shower, and great view.

Absolutely recommend staying at this cottage. I speak personally on cottage #4. The host sent a detailed message about the area, check-in/out, and a restaurant to visit. Perfect location near Vik. So you’ll have a few restaurants, skool bus for coffee, a couple cafes by the grocery store, and self serve gas pumps.

The cottage was clean and the perfect size for one person. A little cramped for two if you both have a lot of luggage (had camera gear and such). We still made it work though.

The shower is hot and I know someone mentioned it got the whole floor wet, but we did not have the problem. Mini fridge is in the kitchen if you want to store food.

A super cute puppy and cat welcomed me about 15 mins after I parked :) the cat even chilled on my lap for 10 mins and took a quick snooze. There’s two beautiful white horses beside the cabin too.

Lucky me, on my first night, the northern lights came out (Mid-October 2022) and the host messaged me on Airbnb that they were showing.

This cottage is near plenty of waterfalls within 30-60 mins. The plane wreck, black beach, and a glacier is close as well. 2.5 hours away is Jökulsárlón Glacier and I highly recommend seeing this and an ice cave.

Had a great stay at Götur. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights while there. Great location to watch for them whilst inside the cabin.

A nice and clean private cottage for a couple. Conveniently located - 5 minutes drive to all of the local points of interest and the village of Vik, that has a couple of nice restaurants and attractions including the amazing Icelandic Lava Show (pic related). Unfortunately made no pictures of the cottage itself, but the ones they have on AirBnB are absolutely correct.

Lovely cottage to stay for even for more nights. Very clean and well equiped kitchen. Overall a cosy little tiny house to live in.
Must be amazing with clear sky and the aurora dance above the mountains in front of the cottages

The cottages are located very close to the black sand beach, which is great. They are private and the owners are wonderfully accommodating!

Stayed at the cottage a few days ago. Clean, new, and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the cottage is practically brand new. Wi-Fi is very fast and was a nice touch.

Only complaint that I have is the hot water - you have a limited supply until cold water is electrically heated.

Very nice place! Well located! Well heated, and nice owner! Nothing bad to say about our experience, only positive things!
And also the mattress is really comfortable!

Excellent and clean cottages. They are mini homes and you can find them on air bnb. Free WiFi and comfortable beds and pillows. Conveniently located near Vik and the city center.

Fantastic cozy little cottages with everything you need. Great place to stay for both Icelanders needing a place to stay and for tourists looking to explore all the great attractions nearby.

The attention to detail in these cottages is amazing. From the coffee machine, to the wellpur pillows. A luxury stay in a small cottage near Vik

Awesome place to stay real close to Vik and tourism spots! Even saw the northern lights during our stay right from the deck!

Stayed here thru Airbnb and loved it! Great location to get to many hikes and attractions in the area.
