True Adventure Iceland

What an experience! We came thinking it would just be something we would try once and not really do again. Wrong! We can’t wait to come to Iceland in September and hopefully do this again. We felt extremely safe, the adventure was tailored to what we wanted. We are more adventurous so we got to experience a bit more turns and speed-it was amazing! You have to experience this in Iceland.

My fiancé’s greatest fear was dying 4 days before we got married in Iceland, upon meeting our pilots that fear disappeared. Our pilots were friendly, informational, and very comical (I don’t think I ever stopped smiling or laughing).
We arrived 30 minutes early to our meeting point and thought we were going to be waiting for awhile, but our pilots were not far behind and were also early! After getting to our flight destination, the wind was not quite what we wanted so we waited for about 15 minutes for the wind to change. After taking flight, the wind was perfect and we were able to fly around, do a couple “roller coasters”, have some laughs, and get our photo shoot on! The pilots made sure that we received great photos and videos of our flight and the beautiful views around us. 10/10 would recommend and would do 1000 more times!

I went paragliding with my 8 year old a few days ago. Unforgettable!!! The pilots arrived to the shop early and we set out on our way. Sammi, Tim, and Þráinn were phenomenal.

They were a fantastic crew who made us feel at ease. Everything was explained to us and they made my daughter feel so comfortable. The entire experience from beginning to end was flawless and SO much fun. The scenery was out of this world. We flew over the black sand beach, you could see sheep grazing on the cliff side, birds nesting in the cliffs, Dyrhólaey, the glacier on top of Katla, etc.

I highly recommend paragliding with them. Top notch crew, so easy to communicate with leading up to our flight and during, and the best way to take in all the scenery. I will be telling everyone about this place. It was the highlight of our trip.

One of the best experiences I had during my Iceland trip! Paragliding with the team of true adventure was so smooth and so fun!
They even showed us the ropes at controlling the parachute safely. My guide performed a few “roller coasters” during my flight and they were an absolute highlight.
It was my first ever paragliding experience and a great one at that. Book your own, your apprehension or fear will disappear at the great location. 😃

My brother and I did the Zipline adventure. The staff is very professional, fun and friendly. For those who are nervous or have some anxiety when they actually hook up to the platform, the staff is very encouraging and will tandem to make the customer more comfortable and have a good experience. The views are incredible!

This crew is absolutely amazing!! Not only knowledgeable about paragliding, but also just super friendly and accommodating. Conditions didn’t look great the morning that we booked, so we drove a town over for a short flight. They asked if we could stay in town a bit because the weather looked better that night, so we shifted our trip a bit and my husband and I had a blast that night with spins, turns and gorgeous views. The winds were too strong for our son that night, so they called us the following morning and squeezed him in to fly. Our six year old will be talking about his adventures for a long time. Thanks again to the True Adventure crew for everything! Let me know who eventually gets bragging rights for landing on the bullseye. 😉

Highly recommended for an adventure in Vik, Iceland!

Best tour company in Iceland. Paragliding was absolutely spectacular and my guide was very knowledgable, experienced, and confident in the skies. Also, since my paragliding was running an hour late due to winds, they offered me to join a ziplining tour, free of charge. Highlight of my Iceland trip.

I recently did the combo ziplining and paragliding tour while on my trip to Iceland and I couldn't recommend it more!! I had prior experience with ziplining, but it was a first for paragliding :)

ziplining: great tour with about 4-5 lines with a short walk/hike between each. The guides were super friendly and nice. The experience was great and the views were incredible!

paragliding: 10000/10! Could not recommend this more!
This experience was great and I cannot emphasize how much fun I had!! I was with Sammy for paragliding and he was very friendly and helped me feel at ease for my first paragliding experience! Make sure to add this to your plans if you are in Vik!

Our guides were very experienced and equally funny. We had poor wind and some rain, but they were able to salvage a flight over Reynisfjara. It was so cool to land in black sand—something I hadn't done while paragliding in 6 other countries. The pilots gave us great local intel that shaped the rest of our exploration of Iceland.

I had such a spectacular experiencing paragliding with these guys. They were so friendly and lovely and really knew what they were doing. Our weather conditions were less than ideal and I would say they went above and beyond to find a safe and fun space for us to fly. Im so grateful that they did. I am a mom of 2 and rarely get to do anything so thrilling I am beyond grateful for this experience!! It is so unique and stunning. highly recommend making this your stop.

My husband and I spent our first day after our wedding paragliding here. It was really amazing! The view was incredible. I’m a bit more into adrenaline rushes and the guide let us swirl around a bit more and even let me steer the kite for a bit. My husband gets sick easily and his guide made sure to give him a smooth ride. They did a great job. We opted for the go-pro option and they were able to put our photos and videos onto our iPhones before we even got back down to our meeting point. A must do if you are feeling adventurous :)

My wife got me a tandem paragliding trip as a Birthday present, and she couldn't have chosen a better company. Firstly the location is amazing soaring over Vik gives amazing views as you swoop past the mountain seeing the birds nesting in the crevices, the sea stretching out in front of you.
They are very professional and friendly, I was excited, but I could see them calming down people who are nervous.
The take-off location does need a bit of walking/climbing up a steep hill, I am a walking stick user and even I could do this. Take off is smooth and landing easy. The quality of the video you get to film whilst in the air is crystal clear.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Wonderful experience! Our first time parasailing and we could not have felt safer or had more fun than we did with the True Adventure team. Great communication as plans developed and very flexible allowing us to fly as soon as weather permitted. Amazing views of coast and Vik. Best way to see south coast! Thank you!

We did the zipline paragliding combo and it was great! The Ziplining facilitators were great. They were encouraging to the people who were nervous (although there was nothing to be nervous about imo). There are 4 lines that vary in lenght and went back and forth across a gorge. The second line you got to do with someone else which was a fun twist. After the last line there was this "bonus" round that was like a mini modified bungy which was the best part. The only negative was that it felt like a big group for how long you actually zip lined for, so there was a lot of waiting. 4/5

The paragliding almost didn't happen due to weather conditions, but it cleared up in the afternoon. It was good to see that safety came first. Sammi was the instructor and was awesome ! He totally made it a fun experience. 11/10 would recommend paragliding here.

We had an amazing time paragliding!! The guide was super friendly and made the ride fun and thrilling, but I also felt safe the entire time. The views of the black sand beach and the ocean were incredible, and we even saw puffins jumping off the rocks.

Amazing ride and great fun, everybody was so happy!!!! The guides are super nice and truly professionals, if possible we would give a lot more than 5 ⭐!!!!

Staff was so helpful. We were originally going to go paragliding, but it was too windy. They offered to switch to another day, but we were gone by then, so we went zip lining instead and it was so fun!

Absolutely amazing! They are very quick and efficient to get you up in the sky. We had a beautiful view and sunny day. We were even given the opportunity to steer the paraglide a little. Also, if you don’t catch the wind the first time and your flight ends shortly, they will gladly take you up again.

Amazing experience, quite nice and comfy ride. Great crew, would recommend for everybody.
