Mollabashi Historical House

The Mollabashi House or known as the Motamedi House (acquired by the Motamedi family in the past decade) is a historical residence that includes works from the era of Safavid, Zand, and Qajar.

Although the exterior and the patio are not surprising, but when entering the corridor to go inside the house, people are fascinated by the attractive decoration and architecture. Each of the rooms in the Mollabashi mansion has a specific and perfect decoration. The paintings, stained glass, mirrored walls, and writings demonstrate the architectural differences of the Qajar and Safavid eras.

The Motamedi family dedicated more than 7 years to the restoration of the Mollabashi mansion to offer it to visitors.

Mollabashi House was one of the houses that survived the massive destruction during the rule of Zelol Sultan, the son of Naser al-din shah one of the kings of the Qajar dynasty in Isfahan.

The Mollabashi house was acquired by the famous astronomer named Mollabashi who dedicated a great job to this house.

It was truly beautiful, the interior decoration of three house is so lavish it reminded me of Golestan Palace in Tehran.

It’s definitely one of the highlights of the city and I recommend checking it out.

Beautiful old house in heart of Isfahan. There is a big difference between this house and other traditional house you see in Isfahan: this house is already is a real life house! The owner is living here and everything is quite real! If you don’t see here, you have not seen Iranian house!

It's amazing, like other historical houses u feel the time there. It was Naser Al-din Shah's astronomer's house. U can see months' names had been written on the walls.

It is decorated with lots of beautiful mirrors. Designed and specialized.
Be sure it helps you to have wonderful photos never taken before.
The ticket price is a little bit high in comparison to other historical places in Esfahan. In Khordad 1402 it is 80,000 but the other placesin the same time are around 5000or 10,000.

Motamedi House or Malabashi House belongs to the Qajar period and is located in Isfahan, Pa Qala neighborhood, Malik Street, and this work was registered as one of the national works of Iran on 25 Khordad 1381 with the registration number 5883.

This is one of the best houses remained from Qajaried era, renewed by Dr.Motamedi in 18 years. The entrance fee is quiet expensive but it worth.

Awesome place! Became much more interesting when I figured out there was a generous and open minded doctor behind the restoration and reviving of the house.

It was out if description! Stunning and brilliant! You don't wanna get out of this historical house. Highly recommended!
