Aali Qapu Palace is the symbol of Great Esfahan city and "Naghshe Jahan" Square ("World's Reflection" Square if I want to translate it). From the second floor of the Palace, the whole beauty of the square is visible.
Very highly recommended to visit👌❤

A must to see!!! Built in the 16th century as the main administrative center of the Safavids, Aali Qapu Palace is a six-story palace with outstanding patterned pillars and intricate stucco ceiling inside. It was as the dwelling for the Safavid king, Shah Abbas I. It Offers spectacular views over the Naqsh-e Jahan Square. Highly recommended!!!

Very beautiful palace, although the entrance price (for foreigners) is a bit too high for what it has to offer. The inside is small and not that impressive as the outside, but you get a nice view over the entire square.

One of the world heritage sites in Esfahan it’s built in five Floors. This palace is located in Nghsh jahan Square you can go inside and see the squire from the palace balcony it has many Stairs. And the stairs are high so if you had knee problems you must be careful.
If you came to Isfahan it is one of the place you must see so don’t lose it

A very cool place with astonishing staircase. It looks great when you go to the balcony. A wonderful view of Naghshe Jahan Square. Seeing people walking, clip-clop of horses. Cool atmosphere. And the upper part, music room, is very beautiful.

One of the most beautiful palaces in Iran. It has been renovated recently. some days access to music hall which is at the highest floor would be possible.

The Ali Qapu Palace was built under Shah Abbas I and construction began around 1595. It is located at the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, opposite to the Sheikh Lotfallah Mosque. The palace has 6 floors. From the balcony one has a beautiful view on the Naqsh-e Jahan Square. On the upper floor there is a music room, the walls and domes of which have deep niches that give the room not only a very particular visual aspect, but they also contribute to the acoustics of the room.

Several floors of the palace are designed for different purposes. The first floor was used as a chancellery. The third floor has a large hall which was used for Shah’s official receptions. The ceiling remains in its initial state with paintings of Reza Abbasi – the court painter of Shah Abbasi. The sixth floor is usually referred to as Music Hall. The interior of the room has not only decorative but also practical purpose – the shape of the walls contribute to acoustic properties. This hall was used for private parties and concerts of musical ensembles and singers. The balcony was built on one of the last stages. It is supported by 18 wooden columns and provides visitors with a spectacular view of Naqsh-e Jahan Square

Isfahan, one of the cultural centers of Iran, attracts tourists from all over the world thanks to its ancient architecture. Ali-Kapu Palace, built in the 16th century as a residence for Shah Abbas I, is one of the main tourist destinations in the city. The palace is unique in terms of architecture: it has a height of 48 m and has 6 floors. Ali-Kapu Palace was once richly decorated with drawings of the famous Iranian artist Reza Abbasi. Floral, bird and animal motifs prevailed in the wall decorations. Unfortunately, most of the drawings and ornaments were looted or deliberately destroyed. The real hallmark of the palace is considered to be the Music Hall on the sixth floor: the walls of the hall are decorated with deep niches in the form of intricate figures that not only had aesthetic value, but also improved acoustics.

A palace on the main square of Isfahan.
While perhaps less stunning than the mosques of Isfahan, this is still worth a visit, if only for the wonderful views of the square itself from the balcony.

The unique thing about Aali Qapu Palace is it's height. Palace has 6 levels which were built to give a better view of watching Chogan or military parades. 6th floor is the music hall with its unique music instruments shaped stuccos. The building has an interesting sound transmission system, when you come through the first entrance immediately after the ticket booth, if you go to the corner of the room and talk facing the corner, anyone on the opposite corner will hear you clearly, but the people in the center of the room won’t. It's a beautiful place to be visited in Isfahan.
