I had white snapper in banana leaf with parota. Absolutely mind blowing blast of flavors. Fresh fish, balanced spices. Ate everything in one breath. Must try if you want authentic Kerala food.

Dining at The Kalyan’s Kitchen tonight, I had the pleasure of experiencing their highly acclaimed red snapper dish, a true testament to the chef's prowess in seafood cuisine. From the moment the dish was presented, it was evident that a lot of thought and care had gone into its preparation. The red snapper was expertly cooked to perfection, with the skin crispy and golden, contrasting beautifully with the tender, flaky meat inside. Each bite melted in my mouth, releasing a symphony of flavors that was both refreshing and deeply satisfying.

Found this place in search of a non-western breakfast and you guessed it, I loved it. Climb upstairs to the terrace to find a breakfast buffet with Keralan dishes. There was a very friendly lady on staff that explained to me how to eat them and they were delicious! I had idly with sambar and coconut chutney, and a dish where you mix mashed banana and crumbled papadam with puttu (I had none of that ever before).

We had buffet breakfast at Kalyani's this morning. We were a bit late for it, but we got a few dishes they served and was so delicious.We spoke with some customers sitting nearby us and heard their lunch is great. Then we quired about their today's lunch menu and found they have a choice of seafood, chicken, and vegetarian dishes with thali meals.Also, Biriyani's,Masala dosa, and other South Indian breads. The prices are almost half of the restaurants along the cliff.And we decided to go for their today's lunch:).

The staff's friendliness and genuine care for our dining experience added a special touch. A must-visit for those seeking not just a meal but a journey through the rich and authentic tastes of South India, accompanied by warm hospitality.

Food was delicious, the location it can't be better, and the service was so kindly.

Delicious Thaali meals, Chicken biriyani,Masala dosas at any time.You can order fishes, prawns, chicken delicacies as extra. Super fast service and clean. We will go there again tonight.

I do wish this new little restaurant the very best and can truly recommend it!

Came in for lunch, ordered dosa, porotta & prawns masala, the food was hot & delicious, service was prompt, staff polite & pleasant. There’s no view as such.
They were super nice to tweak our prawns order within a few minutes, & got a super yummy plate of prawn masala!
Totally recommend this place if you are looking for a clean, good place to eat.

Was looking for an authentic Kerala style food and chanced upon this place through a blog post and extremely happy with what we got here. They serve Veg and Fish meals which are worth the penny you spend. We ate fish meals and it tasted very good and spicy (we like our food on the spicier side). The veg dishes were also extremely good. If you are in varkala and looking for a nice stomach filling, budget friendly options, look no beyond this place.

P.s we went for lunch so naturally place was hot inspite of the fans but we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Planning to go for dinner too.

We have eaten twice at Kalyanis kitchen, very convenient to where our Homestay is. Great hospitality, fantastic authentic Kerala food, unfortunately slightly off the main strip so it is quiet but people should really be looking for restaurants like this instead of mainstream international options.

Kalyani's kitchen is the one of the best homely atmosphere restaurant in varkkala cliff. Scheshwan feid rice, masala dosa, chicken kerala fry and fresh juices .my family is happy. Thanks to kalyani's.
