The food was exceptional! The coffee was aromatic and rich, complementing the picturesque view perfectly. The Grilled Prawns were a standout dish and highly recommended. We've been here twice now and each time, the meals and ambiance have been consistently fantastic.

I planned for a surprise candle light dinner for my husband here for valentine’s, I loved all the arrangements they made, staff is very friendly and do they work with discipline! The served us well and gave a dessert as complimentary too! I would suggest everyone visiting varkala to have dinner here! No other cafe or restaurant is good here trust me! Iam going back for lunch again here! Sunset looks the best here!

Arrived there at sunset. Best to get there from the beach and walk up the stairs. Amazing view!! Had watermelon virgin mojitos and an absolutely deliciously flavourful seafood penne pasta. They have a great variety of drinks and food. Definitely will go back.

The cafe has got amazing views. One of the best cafes in South cliff of Varkala. It was a wonderful experience. The views of arabian sea from the top is mesmerising.
Sundowner cafe you should say. Must visit at the time of sunset. Views will blow your mind. It’s wonderful. They have open as well as closed sitting.

Cafe Trip is Life has left the best impressions of our life! beautiful presentation of the dishes and excellent service by the staff. We visited thrice during our two day stay at Varkala. The sunset views from here are to die for. IT WAS SERENE!! Menu is extensive and of high standard. It can be expensive but worth it for the portion size and the cosy ambience. Highly recommended!!!

Great place ! A great place to get out from the busy city sounds and noise ! Chill and warm vibe ! The Food is great ! With a separate breakfast menu till 11am and general menu till 10pm . I prefer you guys to go around 530pm to witness the sun at the edge seats ! And after which a great candle light dinner atmosphere. Open space with no protection from elements ! And a close outdoor space is also available! Food is delivered reasonably fast ! Great taste and quantity!
Beware ! The night drive to the place is a bit spooky 😂 due to no street lights ! Soo prefer you guys follow the gps location till the spot !
Parking is available and inside ! Bathroom and washrooms available!

Update: After owner Deepak read about our bad experience at breakfast, he reached out to us and apologised for the mistake made by one of his waiters. He generously invited us to give his café a second chance for dinner and what can we say: the experience of a candlelight dinner in the evening was simply wonderful, the table was set tastefully and the staff, especially the head waiter, were totally attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and we will definitely be back after this positive experience.

Old Review: Nice place, decent food, service in need of improvement. We waited 50 minutes for our breakfast – turns out the waiter did not send our order from his tablet to the kitchen. At the time only 3 tables in the whole cafe were occupied. Requests like an additional slice of bread or additional maple syrup took a lot of time. This place has potential, but at this price level you need more attentive waiters.

This is a must visit cafe in Varkala. It’s located in the South cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea. And hence, it is less crowded compared to the cafés in North Cliff. It could be called a hidden gem. The main attraction of the cafe is it’s outdoor seating with chairs on the cliff with the breathtaking view of the blue sea beneath it. The cafe also has indoor seating. But sitting under the tree shade breathing in the beauty of the horizon is a heart warming experience.

The food here very delicious and not that expensive. The menu has a vide variety of coffee, frappe, slushy, juices and hot chocolates. The dulce de tres leches cake was extraordinary. The cheese cake is also great.

The staffs were elegant and cooperative. The whole place emitted a luxurious vibe with light breezy wind cooling us every now and then.

We can also climb down the flight of stairs to the beach and spend time there. The beach is less crowed and hence it’s peaceful and calm. Evenings would be the best time to visit. The panoramic sunset view from the cafe is very captivating.

I went with a group of friends during new year’s eve. Couples could get in free for the DJ night party. We spend a lot of time at the cafe. There was 30 mints of non stop firework at 12 am which was the most memorable sight of that night. As we were on the top of the cliff, we were close to the fireworks which made it all the more adorable. It was very charming .

This is a must visit cafe when in Varkala. The place is spacious, has great views overlooking the sea and the beach, and the best food. Their spicy panner with rice and pineapple pickle is the best and a must-try.

Café by Trip is Life is the best in town. We stayed in Varkala for two days, and both days we had dinner here. As vegetarians we enjoyed cottage cheese sandwich, pink marinara pasta, passion fruit mojito, mango mojito, chocolate frappe, cheesy nachos, spicy paneer curry rice bowl and much more but what truly stole my heart was their Tres Leches—chef's kiss. The ambiance is lovely and peaceful. We had the best time at the café. Don't miss this place if you're in Varkala.

Such a nice place to eat and watch the beautiful sea. This place is really very close to my heart and this place makes me wanna visit Varkala again. I can't even think of Varkala without this beautiful cafe. Their food is also very tasty and their staffs are also very kind and they make you fall in love with this place more. I wish this place stays the same forever✨

Got catch of the day, a Black pomfret.
I asked to be grilled simply with no garlic sauce. It was awesome, fresh and cooked perfectly, 800 rupees with tasty mush potatoes and fresh crispy vegetables.
Hummus was also not too bad.

Shame I discovered it last day or would have liked to try more.
Only pity people smoking nearby and no alcohol
