We had a lovely stay at tenam gardens holistic homestay. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The owners also took good care of us, I arrived feeling unwell and they were really kind checking in that I was OK and offering medicine. The location is beautiful and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We were lucky to go on a walk with some of the family through the local area, such beautiful views. Thanks for hosting us.

Went for a solo trip to Kalimpong and had a fantastic stay at Tenam Gardens. Bidya didi and Binita are superhosts!! Be it the food, the ambience or the hospitality, everything was top notch. Frankly speaking, I went as a guest and they made me a part of their family.

It was an amazing experience and the family was incredibly welcoming. I totally recommend staying here, the garden is lovely and full of animals which were all really curious & friendly towards the guest. We were shown around the area and had an unforgettable time, looking forward to the next stay!

Truly amazing human beings at this place. Tenzing, Binita and Bidhya and everyone else are simply amazing human souls. Loved conversing with them and had amazing stories to share all day. The best thing is they’re always smiling and so hard working that it felt like an extension of home. Had amazing memories made and will preserve them forever because of the humane souls at this place. Will visit again for sure and will stay in touch with such amazing human beings. One of our best stays till date. A family vacation that was just perfect for us. It was just a two days stay but it was such a wonderful stay that it felt like eternity. The host was such a wonderful personality and just made our stay more comfortable. The view from the rooms are beautiful too. The food was just fresh as most of the things were brought from their own garden. They have got 3 dogs and all of them were so friendly and lovely too. The rooms were super cozy and wonderful too too. The best thing is that there’s no AC or fan in the rooms but still it was super chill and awesome. Each and everyone from the staff was super super friendly and were always quick enough to make our stay comfortable. It rained in the evening which made the stay more more beautiful.

We had some good memories with them and one more important things the entire family and the neighbour too was just awesome and our evenings were filled with conversations food and good laugh. Thank you everyone for making our stay one of the best.

Absolutely excellent home stay experience. Everyone at the establishment was so warm and inclusive. It was a true Home stay. The ambience is top notch with all the flowers and plants. We loved playing with the dogs and cat! The food was amazing, we had good of so many different flavors! Every one should try the Bhutanese meal!

The family and I all enjoyed your home. You are such a wonderful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the food and drinks provide by the host. The best part of the property is it's kitchen cum dining hall. Such a lovely ambience within a lovely lonely forest. Moreover it is a pet friendly place so an added advantage for those who love to travel with their pets.

Tenam Garden is a soulful place which is best for you to unwind and relax and enjoy the details of slow life.

The room we stayed in was spacious, had a sparkling clean washroom, a beautifully done seating area. The interiors are done very thoughtfully and every corner of the property has a personal touch to it. Whether you are with a group of friends or family, this place will be loved by all kinds of groups. Even better to stay here if you are traveling with a pet. And the food served here deserves a special mention. Made from all organic produce within the property, its a complete farm to plate experience you will have here.

Our host Bidhya di made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. It never felt like we met the very first time. I'd highly recommend Tenam Garden if you're someone who does not travel with a check list and love to meet new souls and bring back memories for life.

We came here to relax after a trek and we were truly rejuvenated. Bidhya and her family have a lovely home and the whole family makes everything to make you feel at home. We loved everything here, from the food (including the local Bhutanese curries, the fresh of the garden veggies), the 3 dogs and cat, the lovely garden and nursery, the spacious bathrooms and of course Bidhyass help in guiding us to the best places and helping us getting good rates with vendors.

I highly suggest this home for a relaxing stay away from the hustle bustle of the city.

We were a group of 7 friends travelling to Kalimpong for leisure. This place was everything that we could ever ask for. I would try to provide details in depth-
1. Ms Vidya Rai - the owner of this place is just too good. She had contacted me after I booked this property to understand the details and our requirements of the stay. She kept providing me updates on the road and weather conditions at regular intervals. Moreover, she arranged out transport from NJP to her property and the reason I mention this was the drive was super smooth even though the roads were in a terrible state. Andrew Tamang was the name of the person who was driving the car - which was extremely well maintained and his driving skills are extra ordinary and the rates were nominal.
2. Location - the property is located a little away from the hustle and bustle of the Kalimpong town. It is located in the midst of the beautiful flora and fauna. It’s so peaceful that it felt like a different world where we had the time to ourselves and nature. Also, if someone needs to visit the town/ main market - share taxis are available after a 2 mins short walk which costs Rs 30 per head. and takes a maximum of 7-10 minutes at the most. Also, there’s an amazing football ground near this property and the people of this place are very welcoming. They allowed us to join them for a game of football as well.
3. The property- the design, aesthetics and the maintenance of the place was top-class. It had all the facilities and could not have asked for more.
4. Food and hospitality - Ms Vidya Rai and her entire family ensured that they provided us with the baat breakfast, lunch and dinner at nominal rates. The food was mostly organically sourced locally and it is needless to mention that it was extremely tasty.
5. The wonderful family - it was a great chat with the family members and it was lovely to know their stories. It is one of the oldest home stays in Kalimpong which was originally open for foreigners. Recently with improved roads and infrastructure they’ve opened it for Indians too.

For anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in the heart of nature please don’t think twice to book this property. Me and my friends were delighted to stay here.

One of the best stays I have ever been in. The owner is extremely nice and provides A class services. Rooms are quite spacious and food is too good. Home style food available. Beautifully decorated surroundings with different plants in the garden. Very well maintained, and all the family members of the owner did there best to make our stay pleasant and our experience worth while. We wish to visit and stay in the place again.
