We three couples enjoyed our 3 days stay here. This is an ideal place to enjoy with friends with an wide view of Kanchanjanga range. A private lounge in each floor with open view of mountains add to your enjoyment. Hospitality is Excellent, Service is prompt. Rooms are very comfortable.

An amazing homestay located at the heart of a little hamlet, Samthar. Very quiet and peaceful environment at Samthar, and the view of Kalimpong can be enjoyed through the very window of the rooms offered here. The homestay had everything to offer for visitors. Food was the best plus point, a wide range of food that you won't expect at such an isolated location ranging from varying vegetables to freshly cooked mutton and pork. The management members of the hotel made us feel so much comfortable and the ambience just felt like home. Amazing 2-day stay there and will love to come again.

We were there for two nights in mid april.
Samthar is a hamlet on mountain slope with lots of peace. Have heard that on sunny day from this homestay one can able to see higher ranges of the Himalayas . However we were not that lucky as it was cloudy during our stay. The homestay is having all the basic amenities and one can surely feel the warmth in their hospitality. Food is simple but tasty and prepared with great care considering the specific requirements of the guests.
This place is having a sound stable jio internet connection unlike most of the mountainous tourist spots.

Overall a memorable experience of staying here. Someday would like to go there again.

It was a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended. Only thing was there was no power backup when we stayed but it didn't affect us much as the view was enough compensating. Extremely peaceful. Food quality was good. They always ask for your food preferences. Rooms were clean enough. Too homely and great. The night view is spectacular. 😊

Fascinated by the beauty of the mountains. Silent mountain calls, birds chirping, thick clouds floating, random gusts of wind. We can't forget. Simply awesome. Hospitality at its best.The amenities provided were outstanding. Nice ambience. Good hospitality by the host with very delicious food (not like as usual homestay food menu), comfy beds, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Add-on open space for 'adda' in relaxed mood.

Amazing atmosphere. Koushik Da will always be there to solve any problem you have. Magnificent view of Kanchenjungha in the morning. Not only the staff are extremely polite, but their life-stories will definitely pave new avenues of thought. For people desiring to experience nature from the closest, this could be just the place. But then again, who are looking for crowd, shopping and partying... This is definitely not the place, as you wont get the essence of a city here. This is a village, budding on the top of a hill. If you adjust your estimation accordingly, this place won't frustrate you.

Beautifully located right above a valley and from the entire property one can have a 200°degree view of the Himalayan range including Mt Kanchenjungha. Very well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, sparkling clean washrooms and excellent food. The staff are very polite and helpful and the owner Mr. Kausik Bhattacharya is always there to solve any problem
What more can one expect from a Homestay!

Homecalling is truly homecalling. Felt very comfortable and cozy. Kaushik Da just awesome...Jaita Di sweet..she is taking care like "দশভূজা " ...Food is really healthy...I must say everyone should try their specialty Ginger wine. Car driver Mohan Bhai is really extremely friendly and his hospitality is unbelievable. We are really satisfied with Homecalling 💖💖

Being very close to Siliguri, it can be a favorite place for everyone. The service is very good, Bengali food is very satisfying. Above all, the surrounding environment will attract you. You can spend a couple of days here. The environment and the service will attract you. Room 5/5, Food 5/5, Service 5/5.👍

Due to covid pandemic our booking to Dawaipani had been cancelled . After that we contacted with Mr. Kaushik (owner of home calling samthar) . Though he had full booked home stay but he accepted our request & arranged our stay. Firstly, the road by which it was travelled was by the hydral project of teesta river which one get permission if they booked their stay at home calling samthar. It would be a total new experience for everyone, I expect. The home stay was serene, peaceful & really you would experience something different as per other home stay's experience. I literally felt like I was staying in my neighbor's place upon the hill. Never thought to have had a full fledged bengali lunch/breakfast (pabda match, chingri mach diye chocchori, rossogolla/ luchi, sada alu chocchori,bonde) meanwhile seeing at diamond necklace of My. Kunchanjungha. Mr. Kaushik was gem of a person who would be ready to solve everything you need. Must visit place.

From the moment of our arrival to our last minute at your place, we were treated like royalty. We are really overwhelmed your overall arrangement like fooding, conveyance etc, and also the behavior of your helping staff. We wish to visit again to see the wide range of Kanchenjunga from the balcony of your Homestay. It was really a calm and peaceful stay to enjoy the nature . Thank you so much.

It was such a wonderful, amazing, memorable experiences we gathered in HOMECALLING SAMTHAR. Every Person we came across was really wonderful.View was awesome. Room was well maintained. Food was delicious. Mr. Soumik Mukherjee was very helpful. All the times he was caring about us. David such a wonderful boy, really caring. My daughter she is just 3 yrs of age started crying as soon as we left HOMECALLING. We will remember the place, all the persons here life long. Served my purpose. A homely atmosphere, friendly owners, clean room & bath & good food was what I wanted. I got it all. Reached late as flying guests with no prior booking yet we were welcomed with warmth. Thanx Jayita for the lovely food. It was amazing. Had a lovely conversation with Kaushik. Very friendly. Thanx. Will surely re-visit .

Everything regarding the stay has been awesome. Very good and most comfortable Homestay for the family. We were 5 in number, including 3 children, felt very much satisfied and homely during the stay. Mr. Koushik (owner),is the person to be thanked very much for his courtesy, welcoming nature, smiling face and ofcourse for the delicious cooking. He is the most helpful to guide everything we need. We give 200 % mark to HOMECALLING HOME STAY.
Foods were awesome and freshly cooked, Rooms were clean facilited with teamaker,hairdryer, attached bathroom with 24hours running hot and cold water, decorated with beautiful orchids everywhere and a courtyard for children to play and enjoy. We would love to visit again n again♡♡♡

A really awesome place for exquisite views of Mt. Kanchenjunga & the holy sleeping Buddha on one side & the confluence of rivers Rangeet & Teesta with a miraculous aerial view of the famous Coronation bridge, on the other side, superbly delicious, freshly cooked food, Endearing service of very polite & cooperative staff, these are some of the salient features of Home Calling Samthar. A job well done by Prasenjit & his excellent team. Kudos & continue the good work. An excellent experience overall & a must visit place.

A great place to be for couple of days away from the chaos of the city in mother nature with homely environment. The place is heaven for bird watchers. Last but not the least the kind of reception we got from the owner of the homestay Mr. Kaushik is worth of every penny. So if you are looking for a place to have some time with you and your family be there and you won't be disappointed.

Memorable, beyond our expectation. Nice place to stay, courteous staff, good & plenty of food, great rooms with linens & robes. Nature has poured it's bounty on this small hamlet. View of Dooars & Mt Kanchendzonga with its allies are mesmerising from Panbu Dara(6 km.) during Sunset, Charkhol (7km) is near too. You can see the great Mountain from the resort/ room too all day long. Village people are very generous & treat you like nearest relatives.....

Had luvly n homly experience... Views were too good from the balcony along with bed from the rooms. The staff behaviours were so awesome like you felt that you were in home actually. Place was so dreamy that you'll awake in morning with Mt. Kanchanjangha view then after you’ll knock with nepali ehtnic breakfast as per your choice. Love to come back again
