Summit Barsana Resort & Spa, Kalimpong

This is one hotel in Kalimpong which delights you as you step in. Beautiful lawn, amazing views and hospitality. Best part of it all was the food and service. Special thanks to Nashib Chettri, the man in charge at the restaurant who was very courteous and took all our special requests to make the food delicious and our visit memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay at summit Barsana resort and spa, hotel ambiance was great, friendly staff and mesmerizing view from the lawn and the room. We really enjoyed the food and service provided some of the staff such as Shiwani ,Esther and kalpana were of great help throughout our stay .

We stayed there for one day... my 2year old daughter loved the place.... Almost all the rooms have mountain views.
Close to the main market at Kalimpong. Awesome property. It has a colonial feel. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and contain all the necessary amenities. Lots of open spaces to sit and relax. The restaurant is good, the food is delicious, though a bit costly. It has a kid's playroom, kids park with slip, swing etc. Overall a great place to chill.

One of the best resorts & spa in economical budget within Klaimpomg. We booked family room with Mountain View. Literally it’s worth of money. Staffs are really friendly & prompt in services. Location wise it’s bit far from main market.

Summit Barsana is the one of the best properties to stay in if you are visting Kalimpong and the nearby areas.
The resort is very well kept with a beautiful garden and you get a lovely mountain view from the sit out area. The staff is courteous and very helpful.
The meals served in their in house restaurant,Verandah, are very comforting. I have tasted one of the best Chicken Thupkas of my life here .
But what stood out for me about Summit Barsana was their eco-friendly contribution towards a greener planet. Be it the bamboo slippers or the recycled
vintage furniture or even their collboration with a eco friendly brand like IGNIS, this resort is doing their bit to save the planet.

Stayed at Barsana this December.Was a wonderful experience.The staff were courteous and friendly.The manager was exceptional and helpful.The location of the hotel was fantastic as every room had a view of the Kanchenjunga range.The food was wholesome and lipsmacking.The breakfast was very very good and catered to a wide range of tastes.Thanks Barsana will be back for another stay .

What a lovely stay with 5 families…this was a memorable stay and was a discovery for us in terms of location , comfort , view , customer service and ambience. In my view it’s one of the best maintained properties in the district . The GM Mr N Choudhary is a hands on person and I have seen him constantly ensuring guest comfort.

I have also never seen such a dedicated team in a resort who work tirelessly and with a spontaneous smile on their face. Even when the buffet had almost ended I saw them filling it so that guests do not miss anything.

Hospitality at its best and is world class. I would definitely come back here in a group of families and friends.

Cannot give less than 5 star rating. It was one of the best experiences. From the luxurious room, friendly and helpful staff to the dinning experience, everything was perfect. The property is big and well maintained.

Summit Barsana is an excellent Resort Hotel in Kalimpong Town.
The rooms are well equipped with all the necessities, The staff is attentive and efficient
The estate has lovely views of Kalimpong and hence the place makes for an excellent stay
Plenty of Swings and A game room to keep the kids occupied and happy

A well-maintained property with nice view of the Kalimpong town, and a beautiful lawn (especially for kids). Staffs are very much polite and professional, checkin procedure is smooth. Rooms are well decorated with necessary requirements, and most importantly private balconies for each room.

Price wise rooms are bit costly. Charge for children more than 5 yrs of age is taken during the booking. But the service and amenities somehow fills the cost. Food is a bit spicy, and much costly.

The approach road to the property is sufficiently steep, so a car/cab is positively recommended if anyone is not interested in a hike every time. Hikers can very well enjoy the ascents, as we did.

Overall the property can be recommended for a family stay.

Room is great, very clean, staff is very polite and humble. But all these things kept aside… the food here is simply hands down amazing. The Chicken Thukpa here is one of the best I have ever tried. The best! The property is quaint and simple. The only con is that it’s a little hard to find at first. Especially during night, it is in crack of a road where you almost feel like it’s impossible to enter with your car. But the stay here was so good that it’s hard to remember that we couldn’t find the hotel at first.

After an initial hiccup that was immediately addressed by housekeeping staff we loved our stay here. Rooms were clean and well looked after. Easy check-in and check-out. F&B were kind enough to pack us morning brekky for our journey back home. Emergency laundry was something that isn’t easy to come by and the staff were able to deliver on it. Liked the silent location in the middle town

I really liked the property. The stay was awesome. The view from room was eye soothing.
Service was great. Everything that we wanted were provided to us.
Food was mouth watering Since we were two we ordered two items which was full of taste.
Room was spacious with relaxing chairs in balcony and study table in the room.

We visited this opulent slice of heaven amidst the hills on the eve of my wife's birthday. And indeed, it iss one of the best properties in Kalimpong.

We were speechless and awed by the beautifulorchestration of cake and decoration by the staffs. Especially Mr. Nashib Chetri deserves a special mention for his out of the box splendid idea of candle-lit dinner.

I would definitely visit this property again for their overwhelming hospitality and spacious accomodations, whenever I am visiting Kalimpong again.

Unit manager Mr. Nygel, a nice personality whom we met is so nice person, he is simply one stop solution for all the requirements. He & entire have taken care very nicely.
