Kalimpong Subdivisional Library

Very close to town. Sufficient place to sit and read.

The Library has very few books with 99% of books of 6 years ago and more. No new books with poor furnishings. The employees are good, though.

Hardly any manuscript left from the old sub divisional treasure trove. Missing books, torn pages, no proper filing, administration.... Old Kalimpong Library is now a dilapidated structure with no sense of purpose or direction. It's like one of those government schemes which exist for existence's sake... Government could do more with the place. Alas!

The library is in horrible condition.
No new or useful books are there. Almost all the books are old and tattered.
Maybe that is also the reason why not many people know that there is a library in town. Even if they know, nobody wants to come to the library where there are no useful books to read. It's such a shame for the administration for not looking after such place like Library and turning a blind eye.
