Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu

A chance encounter with Mr Harsh, i decided to go on the Craigs path nature trail with the hiking n trekking company . We left for the trail at 4.30 into the forest area. The trail itself was around 3 to 4 km in total over a rocky terrain. He explained how to navigate the terrain and also took me through a cave exploration that was a first for me. We stopped at few view points where you get a panaromic view of Mt Abu and i got a quick rundown of all the historical palaces which are now converted into heritage sites. The trail itself was easy with some tricky bits for a novice. However the sunset point was absolute perfect. You can enjoy the sunset in pure silence with only birds chirp and monkeys calls keeping you company. Harsh is quite passionate about the trails and nature walks that Mt Abu offers. It was a great conversation ranging from the culture, history , details on flora and fauna as well as people and politics. I only wish I had time for a longer day trek. I reccomend anyone who is interested in nature walks and trails to connect with them to make wonderful memories in the quaint town

We had a brilliant time with Rash and his colleague. They were incredibly supportive guides, with excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna and expert experience of the hills.
At times we were stretched, but were always supported. We would really recommend them for anyone wishing to get the best out of a trip to Mt Abu - and if you are already booked, have a close look. It is a great place to go.

An amazing hiking experience, we enjoyed beautifull views. The higlight was a close encounter with two sloth bears. This wildlife experience nothing alike any othrr I had in my life. The guides Harsh and Mahaveer were very profetional, and made sure we make the best of our trip to Mount Abu, highly reconmended for any wildlife lover, and for everyone who travel Mount Abu.

We had a really good time with harsh and mahaveer. We got lucky to see 3 sloth bears. They were kind, responsible and made us feel safe. There was a good energy. Really recommend !

I did a half day hike with Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu in Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary in August 2023. It was recommended to me by my guesthouse Shaleen Elegance in Mount Abu. The price was INR1600 + INR500 for the sanctuary fee. In total we were four hikers and had two guides with us.
They were very knowledgeable and knew everything about plants, the use of them by local people and the animals. We did not see any bears or leopards, but some traces of them.
The hike was really nice, in some parts adventurous and the guides very good.
There are also some other hikes on offer in the area, in particular outside of monsoon season.
I would recommend this agency to other hikers.

The overall experience was amazing as one can understand reading the other reviews.
Firstly, the company owner made sure to meet us one day before the trek. He discussed with us the potential hikes we can go to and helped build our trust. The next day, the trekkers came to pick us up near the hotel and took us to the starting point whilst explaining some basic rules to follow. I would recommend anyone to wear full sleeves and shoes with grip while trekking due to the dense bushes throughout the trail (eagle peak trail). My friend and I were a bit shy at first but Mr.Harsh and his friend were chatting with us very openly and in a friendly way. By the end, we all were talking about our past experiences and stories.
They also educated us on the flaura and fauna, the ranges around and different medicinal uses of certain plants. It is clear that the guides were doing this for their passion and their love for the nature was apparent. They force you to understand the beauty of nature and get a full enjoyable experience away from the cities. There wasn't too much crowd or other travelers making it solemn and peaceful to breathe some fresh air. They also shared some coffee, maggi and local poha with us which was the best.
I am sure that they will make any trekking or camping fun for the visitors and urge us to indulge in a breathtaking experience. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Mount Abu and support such enthusiastic, passionate people!

I highly recommend the services of Anil and Harch. They are both natives of Mount Abu, and know the region perfectly. They take great pleasure in introducing this territory to visitors. I had a very good morning walking in the forest, they explained a lot to me about the local flora and fauna. And a very good afternoon with Anil, visiting the surrounding area!!

Harsh and his company have gone above and beyond in providing one-of-a-kind trekking, hiking, and camping experiences. If I had more time, I would have stayed in their campsite which is serene and surrounded by trees and in the mountains! I’ll be back for the star gazing and sunsets for sure!

The first day that I arrived in Mt. Abu, I was in a bind and did not have a place to stay but Harsh immediately came to pick me up and made sure I had options, including a homestay or tent depending on my comfort.

Why I chose Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu:

Safety: it is against the law actually to hike or trek alone in Mt Abu given the dangerous wildlife, so you need a certified tour guide, which their company provides. Everyone is certified, between 12-30 years experience, and Mt Abu locals. They also know how to warn wildlife before entering certain caves or places we are visiting. They know what to do if anything happens. They have two tour guides at a time. Because of how much I trusted them, I stepped out of my comfort zone, tried splunking, caving, and rock climbing for the first time!

Extensive knowledge: They have extensive background knowledge and expertise of everything along the way of the hike, they are like walking Encyclopedias. They know the history, benefits, and uses of the geography and plants.

Charity: 20%-30% of their profits earned are channeled into a school for children of Adivasi/tribal background as there is a shortage of school resources.

Treatment like family: He, his whole team, treated me like family, took me to the most local spots for chai and even invited me to their homes for homemade Rajasthani traditional cuisine. Harsh and Narayan took me and/or explained the significance of the historical and spiritual places of worship, including Delwara Temple and another hidden temple on a high cliff that even locals are not aware of. I love hiking and feel special in nature but I also love to learn about the ancient technological intelligence of my ancestors.

Thank you Harsh, Narayan, and Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu for making my memorable Mt Abu experience one of the highlights so far in India! I definitely will be back to hike the other 27 spots and absorb more of your knowledge!

Hiking with Harsh and Anil was the best experience we've had in India. They are super nice and friendly guys who provide interesting informations about flora/fauna/nature and profound facts and stories. We'd totally recommend booking a hiking tour with Hiking & Trekking Company to escape busy cities. Overall it felt like spending a lovely day with friends. We saw stunning caves and breathtaking views in and around Mount Abu. It was the perfect mix between exercises and enjoyable breaks in the nature. Both guides were very pleasant people.

PS: We were introduced to the best chai and pakora places :)

I'll be honest. I came to Mount Abu after watching a few vlogs on YouTube and felt like there were just very few things to do and all of them were very touristy. And then I met Harsh bhaiya and Anil bhaiya from Hiking & Trekking Company & it's safe to say, I am coming back to Mount Abu very soon only because of these people and their treks. I came as a solo female traveler & both of them were so supportive throughout the trek like my own brothers.

On day 1 we did the Craig's trail. We hiked around crazy terrains, plucked mangoes in the forest, climbed rocks to enjoy views from the cliff edges, cooked maggi on the top, watched a beautiful sunset oh and the best part - we went caving! My first ever spelunking experience where I got to live my craziest adventure dream. While climbing down, Harsh bhaiya & Anil bhaiya narrated stories from previous hikes about their wild encounters and it was so much fun! Oh and we also saw fireflies once it started getting dark. I loved it so so much that I told them that I wanna go hiking with them again the next day even though I had no plans for it initially.

So, the next day we did a different trail, this time in the morning. We did the Tiger's Path trail & this time we hiked in the rain, through dense forests. It was a wild jungle trekking experience where I got to learn a lot from them. Harsh bhaiya and Anil bhaiya's knowledge of the regional flora, fauna, and hiking & climbing in general is just so inspiring. They would guide you on every step & take care that you have the best possible experience. I learnt how to create trails and also a little bit about how to survive out in the wild. Oh and this time, we made coffee while watching the rains and the lush green forests from inside a cave.

I don't know if you're coming to Mount Abu for a day or more than that but I highly highly recommend you do at least one trail with these folks. Trust me, you'll have one of the MOST MEMORABLE experiences of your life! Oh and btw, they also have star gazing experiences which you wanna sign up for in case you're coming in the winters (I so wanna come back to Mount Abu to hike with them again & also go for stargazing 😍).

The good reviews are there for a good reason. What a great experience this was. The nature was absolutely stunning and we even saw a bear. The guides were beyond friendly and enthusiastic and we had such a good time trekking with them. They know everything about the nature there but also taught us a lot about hinduism and their lives. After the trekking they showed us the way to the jain temple and we drank some chai. Would highly recommend!!

Harsh was very patient and very helpful in the entire trekking. We really enjoyed the experience with him. He never rushed us to be fast. Always taking photographs at the best possible point. He was also well informed on the trekking flora and fauna.

I visited Mount abu in December 2023 around Christmas. Harsh organized a small lovely trek for us. His knowledge about the area around Mount abu and about trekking trails is amazing.
