Beautiful place of mt. Abu! The lake is surrounded by mountains. Boating and strolling around the lake is the most enjoyable experience. You can have the best sunset time here on the bank of the lake. Market, honeymoon point, toad rock, vivekanand cave are among the place to visit near Nakki lake. Also, you can find rental bikes, taxi and horses also to roam around this beautiful hill station.

Mount Abu is one of the few places in Rajasthan which is absolutely neat and clean and gorgeous despite being a crowded place. Its circumference is around 3 km, so take some time in hand and give it a complete visit. Do not miss the sunset point too, but be cautious: it has a good height and the path is not smooth always. Not difficult for most people though.

This is a beautiful man-made lake as the locals claim it to be. Has wonderful views, selfie point, a boutique temple on the edge of the lake, market is situated right next to it where you can shop and get a bit to eat, there is a boat ride that one can take. Highly recommend to take a boat ride with a private driver as the locals know all the history behind the attractions situated on the lake.

Nakki lake is situated in the hill station of mount abu in Aravali ranges of rajasthan. It is romantically called the love lake of mount abu. During my tour to abu I also visited this place and the boating was good experience. The lake looks awesome at night or late evening. It is an important tourist attraction of mount abu.

At a distance of 1 km from Mount Abu Bus Station, Nakki Lake is a lake situated at the heart of Mount Abu in Rajasthan. The lake is situated beside Sri Raghunathji Temple, Toad Rock, and the Maharaja Jaipur Palace in Mount Abu. Toad rock is so-called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. There are two ways to go up and down the rock; to climb the rocky hillside or to use the steps leading down to Nakki Lake. By the side of the lake there is a path leading to Sunset Point. It is forbidden to climb to Sunset Point due to dangerous bandits living around the path to Sunset Point.

1.The beautiful and attractive lake located in the center of Mount Abu Hill Station is surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and strangely shaped rocks.

2.There are many old stories associated with this lake. According to them, this lake was created by the gods using nakhas or nails. That is why it is famous by the name of Nakki Lake.

3.On 12 February 1948, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed and Gandhi Ghat was constructed nearby.

4.Best time to visit Nakki Lake Mount Abu – You can visit Nakki Lake throughout the year. But the best time to see it is during monsoon and winter season. The temperature here is 30 degrees Celsius in monsoon and 12 degrees in winter. The lush greenery here makes the beauty of the lake more beautiful during monsoon. Summers are hot in Mount Abu. Because of that, it would be better if you avoid visiting between March-June and you should visit the lake from July to January.

Serene beauty. The path across the lake is very beautiful and you can walk around the lake. At night, the lake looks very pretty with shimmering lights all around. Lots of places eat.

According to a legend, Nakki Lake was dug out using nails (nakh) hence it got the name. Another legend suggests that this lake was gouged out by the gods of Hindu mythology to live in and protect themselves from the demon named Bashkali. It's beautiful at the time of sunset.

Had an opportunity to visit it August month,the best month to visit.Foggy atmosphere, in the midst of clouds. Romantic atmosphere, anyone can fall in ❤

A beautiful small little lake with a garden in the entrance and near the market with a lot of Activities.

In Mount Abu the Nakki Lake area is known for its liveliness as there are a lot of restaurants, eateries and shops outside the lake.

You will find a huge park while you enter the lake. There is boating and some more activities in this area.

Although , it’s good to go for boating but I found it very expensive. They charge around Rs 200 per person for pedal boat for half an hour.

The park outside the lake has benches to sit around. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours near Nakki Lake.

Must visit in winter only... Real beauty.. Check my video.. But don't be in hurry to book hotels.. First research you will get best deals..
