Muscatel Himalayan Resort

Amazing place to stay and it offers a beautiful view from the roof-top. The staff is well coordinated and professional. They all are really well mannered, very helpful and generous. Room was very neat and clean. I never got to complain about anything in my 3 days stay. Only thing is it is a bit uphill so you might find it bit difficult to reach the hotel by foot. But because of the location only you can enjoy mesmerizing view of the Himalayan mountain range and on a clear sky day you can even see the kanchanjunga peak.

We had a great time at Muscatel Roma and Muscatel Bhumsang, both of which were close to the Mall Road. Ms Pavitra Rai was really friendly and helpful to us. The staff was helpful and ensured timely service. The room has sufficient amenities for a cold weather of Darjeeling in December. I would recommend the Muscatel Properties to anyone planning their next trip in Queen of Hills.

It's a nice place to stay. The sundeck is nice. Only thing I'd like to mention is the fact that the way to the hotel is a 100mts steep walk. That is if you wish to walk up and down from mall. Incase you are travelling with senior people, this is a point to keep in mind. The path is motorable too.

Our room was beautiful, the hotel is slightly up hill the road from the Mall. Service was okay but not great. We stayed for one night in October 2023, overall a good stay.

It was good in affordable price. The rooms and washroom were clean and the amenities were sufficient for the value.

We booked this hotel for our short Darjeeling tour in January end, 2023.
This hotel is very aesthetic to your eyes and perfectly placed. You can see the mountains from the sun roof. There is a windowed deck where you can just chill in the evening.
The rooms are pretty cozy with beautiful windows. You will need to hire blower however as there is no room heater available.

It was an amazing experience. Rooms are very creatively decorated and clean. Wonderful ambience and location is fantastic as well. Highly recommended (if you want complimentary tea and slippers). Great one! Gonna cherish this experience I had and definitely coming back with my wife here :)

The hotel is located just at a 5 mins walking distance from Mall road. The surrounding is quiet and serene. The sundeck at the terrace is their main attraction from where you get the total view of the mountain range and the city where you could sit and enjoy the serenity around. The rooms are beautifully designed with wooden interior and are quite spacious. The service is top notch and the staff are always ready to help no matter what time of day it is. Special mention to Abhinav and Salim for their amazing service who made our stay far more comfortable and for being such friendly blokes. We even got a free upgrade to their suite room upon extension of our stay.

Had a great stay in this resort for 3 nights....spacious rooms with a wooden floor, good maintenance and service by the staffs. The staff Aryan Rai was particularly very helpful. The food was amazing....but the disadvantages of this resort are that it's not too close to the mall and lunch facility is also not available in this property. Overall we had an amazing stay here.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Very friendly staff. Would like to give a special mention to Mr. Binod working there. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had an early check out and he made sure we had packed breakfast with us. Thanks to Mr. Binod for going that one little step extra for us. You made our stay even more comfortable.

It was a very decent stay. Helping staff. Near to the MG road.

The view from the suite room was excellent and the room decor with the glass and wooden finish was very nice, with a very comfortable bed. The Essence of the old with a touch of the new, makes the place very homely. The property is very well maintained, and extremely clean. I would say the breakfast buffet was passable, not much of a big spread, but not disappointing either. The staff are extremely helpful, and the hospitality is really plausible.
The location is ofcourse very convenient and the hotel is slightly steep but motorable upto the entrance.

There are a few things which need improvement, firstly the intercom needs to be functional, or the reception needs to recieve calls from the guests. I have had multiple occasions, where I had to come all the way down to the reception from 3rd floor just to talk to the reception, this is a temporary problem and will definitely be fixed soon.
Secondly, they must be fully prepared to combat a water crisis situation which they are not. During my stay for 2 days, both mornings, water was exhausted for a few hours, however the staff carried a bucket of water upto my room on my request, but being such an expensive property, they should have taken care of the water crisis before it got exhausted every morning.
