Bungkulung in the Eastern Himalayan foothills is a small and happy hamlet. The village is simple and so is the beauty of the village. Endless walks around the village is all that someone can ask for. Bungkulung Retreat Eco Hut is definitely the best place to stay in Bungkulung. It has 4 cozy cottages. The cottages are pretty big, very well decorated and super clean. The premises are a delight for people who loves plants. The food is fantastic taste and quality wise. And served with great hospitality. The hosts and the staff were very warm and accommodating. I would definitely reco this place to people for a few days of peace, great food, small walks and total relaxation.

Very familier. Ambience is pleasant, cool and calm with Daju and parbati di's friendly behaviour. Simplicity just touches the heart.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this homestay and Iist say it exceeded all my expectations. The homestay itself it's a hidden gem.Breakfast each morning was a delightful surprise , with home made treats that showcased the owners culinary talents.

one of the best homestay i have ever visted. Those who wants to experience the nature go for it. i had went with my rest of the family members, 12 of us … eveybody loved it Everthing about it is just perfect . the cottages , the ambiance, the service , the food quality . Everything. Its worth it .

Nestled in the picturesque village of Bungkulung, the homestay just added the right mellow to make us feel home away from home, the cottages sobriquet as the local floras rendered comfort and love in equal.
(The rooms are so cosy, just adds right to the romance of the already idyllic space).

And the food? Oh!! (Makes my mouth water)
The food was exactly what you'd get in the comfort of your kitchen (home cooked/locally sourced).

We were also accompanied by Dholu and Kanchi (the in house fur-babies), and two friendly/shy/cute cats, and of course pretty flowers and butterflies.

The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would always love to go back to this place.
