Ganga Resort, GMVNL

Excellent property at the banks of Ganga river. You can see serene Ganga flowing from just outside the hotel. Location is excellent, all the major tourist locations are near by. Hotel rates are very affordable and rooms have all the necessary aminities. Service was prompt and staff is very well mannered and always ready to help. We lost our phone outside hotel and hotel staff did everything to get the phone back and with their help we were able to get the phone back. We will be back here whenever we visit Rishikesh :)

I have never stayed here but have visited this resort a number of times to have food and book my rafting trip from GMVNL. The food is decent, the location is beautiful (right in front of it is the view of Ganga ji flowing), and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Situated on the banks of the River Ganga. From your room you can see the Majestic river. Ganga aarti happens close by. Evenings are spectacular. The hotel has provided comfortable benches to enjoy the sight and sounds of the gushing River. A beautiful place to stay. The staff is very supportive. The food is good!

Full marks for the location. This property is located just beside the Janki Bridge. Rooms are spacious but need some maintenance especially considering the premium you pay. Veg food is available with ample of parking space.

Everything is perfect about this place. Food, service and location. Just on the edge of River Ganga, a very beautiful location to stay for some quality time.

Great place to stay and all staff are extremely co operative and very helpful. To name a few Mr Jitendra, Mrs Anita, and Mr Pratap Chauhan very very caring. Highly recommend to stay and enjoy the hospitality.

Splendid and beautiful location right on the river bank. The rooms are big and airy and provide a decent stay. Food options are limited but okay. There seems shortage of staff and hence often unable to cater to peak demands. Overall nice place to stay.

Average place. Bit affordable for people like us, lower middle class..if you often count cash and keep all records then it's for you. No issues of hygiene, cleaning and car parking..have fun

This resort is one of the best GMVN resorts in the entirety of the chaar dhaam places.
Pros- the location is great! The rooms have ganga River views and early morning it feels amazing. Great resort location and you should go for jogs in the morning at the property. Total bliss.
The breakfast was good and so was the service. The people are hospitable and friendly.
The property is clean and rooms are clean too. We stayed at 209/210 i think and both were good.
They provide toiletry bags which is nice.
The breakfast starts after 7.30am or so but we had to start at 6am itself. The staff was very helpful and they prepared toast and tea for us and also sandwich early morning. Thanks for that.🙏🙏

Balconies are huge so a big plus.
A lot of parrots live in the property trees. Wake up early in the morning to get an amazing view of the parrots too.😊

Cons-
The price of the rooms is really expensive. 5.5k+ for the rooms is a lot considering the facilities are just okay.
The room door of 209 had a problem (chipped door) so anyone from outside can see a little when trying to peep from outside.

The road to come inside the property is really narrow. When we came the front road was under construction and when we called no one came to help with the luggage. With senior citizens travelling with us, we had to carry the luggage all the way (300m) to the guest house. The directions to the hotel needs improvement.

Excellent location. When you step outside resort, ganga maiyya is flowing. Excellent breeze outside resort. Rooms are a bit costly. Dormitory rate is 600 per bed. Demand is very high and you may need to advancedly book through gmvn webpage

Perfect location just next to Ganga. Quite & Relaxed environment. Booking to be done in Advance.

I booked the place just b4 lockdown and since then had no opportunity to stay there as for next 2 years it was sided for Covid patients/doctors etc however this time I made it there. The location is awsm as it’s right next to river w stunning night n morning views. Food is average as compared to other GMVN. Massage is good as I got one, overall good to experience it.

All Deluxe rooms offer view of college play ground in front and Ganga ji with Janki jhula on right side. Super Deluxe rooms offer view of Ganga ji, Astha path and mountains. All rooms are spacious. Property location, ambience, staffs, food, decoration all are magnificent. Travel desk is there for cab, rafting booking. Just one thing....note that, during any festive time, like on or before Shivratri, devotees with car fitted with loudspeakers are parked at the vicinity of Janki jhula....their tremendous sound will cause vibration and discomfort to the Deluxe rooms throughout the night.

This is a Best place to stay in Rishikesh, people here are very helpful, the person whom I cannot forget here is Mr.Sunil Chettri , he helped us in our complete tour 12 day in Uttarakhand, like a family person.
I strongly feel, if you are visiting, Uttarakhand, for char Dham Yatra, then please go with GMVN, hotel, they will make you feel like family

It was a lovely experience here😃Was just in aww with the view from the balcony of our room.Ganga Maiya just outside the balcony.Was so so serene Rooma are spacious with hit water facility.Parking is big.You can sit outside the hotel and enjoy the view

Ganga Resort run by GMVN of govt of india for providing adequate facilities for the tourist to accomodate themselves with warmth and comfy stay throughout their travel days. The location is indeed a very serene direct facing the mighty river Maa Ganga ji, provides you with wide view of Jhanki julha, the river and the green mountains ranges making your heart and mind indulge into the peacefull devotion of lords in the air.
The rooms were very comfortable clean and spacious, you get dormitory options and normal and deluxe and super deleux rooms to opt.
They have a restaurant which serves everything from breakfast to dinner with your desired continental cuisines on request.
You are provided with basement parking facilities if you are with your personal vehicle.
Indeed it was a very nice and beautiful stay at Ganga resort. Looking forward for another turn.

Come here only for location, amazing, right on the river Ganga.
Service:Poor.
Food is decent but staff, generally, is not cooperative. Typical sarkari attitude.

Excellent place just beside river Ganges.Rooms and toilets are very neat and clean.Foods are tasty.Ganga Aarti is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
