Hotel Rahmaniya Kethel's Chicken

A Very Nice Experience. The menu is Chicken Fry, Ghee Rice, Wheat bread(Chappathi, Wheat bread), Chicken Gravy, Spice-less lemon pickle, Onion Raitha and Pappad (fryems). One serving of chicken is 8 pieces ( two legs, two hands and four breast pieces). The one and only rice item is Ghee Rice made of pure Basmati rice. Other item is Roti or wheat breads which are cooked without oil free. Only chicken fry available here. The chicken used in this place is specifically bought from Namakkal in Chennai. Ghee used in Ghee rice is in moderate. The spices used here are specially prepared in this place. The spices are not bought from the market. The spice less lime pickle and Onion Salad in curd are super. Only very less oil is used in chicken fry. Chicken pieces are fried in slow cooking method. Courteous service is a speciality. Reception is Good. There is wait here normally. Food is served here in plantain leaves. Sweetened lime juice is another speciality. I am a regular visitor to this place for the last 50 years. For me, this place is Quite Nostalgic.

It's a unique hotel only in trivandrum, with mouth watering taste and ambience it's definitely a stand out from the crowd.

Tender chicken marinated with a unique blend of spices served along with small chappathi and lemon achar, you will a get handful of lemon juice as well. All in an affordable price.

If you want to try a different chicken fry, then this is the place. Here the chicken is very tender and spicy. Quantity wise chicken fry seems little over-priced. But while considering the taste it seems okay. Ghee rice and chappathi served along with the chicken is good. Nothing bad to mention. The restaurant also looks very clean. Over-all it was a good experience.

That's a major tick in my bucket list of must visit restaurants in Thiruvananthapuram. One thing I have to say is that it is a gruelling task to locate this restaurant. Parking is non-existent and the seating capacity is inadequate. We parked the vehicle in nearby GandhiPark and we had a walk to this restaurant. Barely fifteen number of people can be accomodated at a time. Usually there's a waiting period however luckliy we got in quickly.

Coming to the food, we had biriyani rice and spring chicken. The chicken was very spicy and had to drink lot of Lemon juice at this rate I think is a nice gesture.

The service was good and the ambience too.

Recently visited the shop and the food was up to my expectations . If you are looking for dining option, the hotel has very less easting capacity and you might have to wait for a minimum of 15 minutes to find a seat even during weekdays. Food was served hot and tasty. We tried their liver fry as well, which was good.

Kethel's chicken means young tender chicken which has a unique and great taste! With unlimited lemon juice is must try place in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rahmaniya- Kethel's chicken, is the notable restaurant in the city of Trivandrum❤. People from all walks drop by Kethel's chicken for a really appetizing staple item of the restaurant- Sizzling Roasted chicken with plain Chappathi, in addition to thirst quashing lemonade and gravy.

The restaurant is in a hasty secluded location, unlike other urban counterparts. Space is a demerit in the restaurant, can suit a maximum of about 6-7 families. Serving is done in indigenous banana leaf. Servings are done in sets. A set comprises of 5 chappatis & 5 pieces of deep-fried miniature chicken wings, breasts & legs. None of the other items are available here except their staple servings. Price is awfully reasonable for a quite sumptuous diet.

Lemonade is served at frequent intervals, without the customer's being sapping out. Improvements have to be done on spacing off restaurant interior, serving speed & ousting banana leaf serving (as per my suggestion, as it is easily flown under intense fan swings!) Busy ambience watermarks the demand of this small, but deliciously fooding restaurant.

A good place for trying special kethel chicken. Try to order 8 pc per person. Food is delicious. Fast deliver for parcel. Patiri and oroti available in limited quantity. If required order early.

Kethel Sahib is the Master of the hotel who is the Great grand father of present owner.

In Tamil Literature Writer Jeyamohan wrote சோற்று கணக்கு story based on kethel sahib.

It describes about the old hotel and the foods they served. It detaily explains how they run the hotel and how much famous it is.

Located in chalai, this place is famous for it's traditional ' kethels chicken'. They offer lime juice instead of water and the chicken is not just the normal broiler but a kind of small chicken that is fried and served with chilly flakes. Small chappathi is the main served in 5 nos with lime pickle. This combo once tasted will make you their regular customer. Talking about the ambience, this place got only a little space to sit and often one has to wait for sometime to get a seat inside. But overall it's a great place in trivandrum to try out✌

Rahmaniya Kethel's chicken is located on the Pattom plamoodu. Chicken shawarma is very crispy and spicy. Only 60₹.

Tender chicken fry is the main dish, serving along with Chappaathi and Tender Chicken parts curry. Addition to this Lemon pickle and Lime juice unlimited.

Actually it's a good place to eat and the food is tasty. But I'm not a fan of this kethels chicken.
