Theatre is very good. But please donot book the first row seats of balcony unless you want to get distracted by metal barricades placed on balcony area which will eventually cover up the bottom parts of the screen. Just only select seats from the second row onwards

Interior and washrooms are not much good

Bheeshma parvam was roaring high everywhere and we wanted to experience the high. After all, it's been a hot minute since ikka had a crowd worthy film. Aries and many others were filled to the brim and i took tickets unwillingly to kalabhavan.

Kalabhavan really surprised me. A classy experience for a low cost. Kalabhavan is now in my top tvm cinema's.

It's a traditional cinema with normal seating and balcony. We took normal seats and it was pretty near to the screen. But, it wasn't an unpleasant experience. The screen, seating and sound was awesome. Staff were helpful.

It's a small cinema, so parking is pretty crowded and the food options are pretty pricey, like everywhere else. But, those are very small negatives.

Recommended.

It is nice and clean but seat is not comfortable.Also for children it is hard to watch the movie while sitting in the back.

The theatre is very good, very good seating, screen and sound quality is also very good, compared to the ticket rate which is very much affordable.

Situated in a place which is accessible, yet not crowdy. Reasonably priced ticket as well as edibles. simple yet comfortable .

Very good cinema. We can enjoy the vintage balcony setup in an updated way. Theaters with balconys are geting rare. Very good sound quality and a giant screen.

Man..This movie is a pride for any trivandrumites..Really excellent screen with good audio facility. Only the vehicle parking seems to a drawback. Otherwise this is the best!

Great theatre I'm surprised to see that it's a theatre run by the Government of Kerala . It meets all the requirements that a cinema enthusiasts want it even out beats other private theatre in terms of basic aminities like proper air conditioning Dolby Atmos sound system, proper sound proof , cleanliness is next level,overall superb viewing experience I wish such theatres need to be supported by the public and government need to start such theatres in all the districts of Kerala . All the best for the management and keep going

The theatre is in good condition and worth the amount for ticket, ….as the price is low so as the service. Overall it’s a good theatre. 😍

Best government owned theatre can give private theatre heavy competition

I feel very much comfortable to go for shows at Kalabhavan theatre. It's very spacious. Balcony is the additional feature there. Cafe is there where you can get eatables and cool drinks. Only problem with this place is the parking. Hardly few vehicles can be parked in the premises. The road outside also doesn't provide parking space. I never faced issue getting a ticket there for convenient timings.

Kalabhavan theatre is well maintained and managed. The staff is quite friendly and supports you. The best advantage is you don't have to climb any steps as they have a good ramp design to the gates. The sound quality is good and the screen is visible clearly from every seat.
