Excellent experience with Sahara travels with the one night camel safari. Very professional exactly as described very peaceful and not a tourist trap. Very response on WhatsApp to our many questions. Would highly recommend this place!

What an incredible experience!! I've already slept in the Sahara desert and apart from the size of the dunes, which there is no comparison, this experience was much better. a group of 7 people in total guided by a guide who doesn't speak many words but is wise and friendly. Ana and I, for reasons of or believes we decided not to do the camel ride ( but for sure is a great experince). we arrived at the dunes earlier and we started explor . What peace, silence, soft sand like cotton. sunset with golden dunes. Delicious dinner made by 2 locals, so good that we repeated :)) after the rest of the group returned to the city with the guide. Ana and I sat by the campfire and contemplated the stars. We slept warmly in a clean, fragrant bed (made by the two locals who spent the night with us) and in a profound and inexplicable silence. We woke up with the sun and moon sharing the same part of the sky, we walked on the dunes to watch the sunrise and ate a delicious breakfast.
Enjoy this experience with incredible staff
Thank you guys

When in Jaisalmer and looking for camel safari, definitely book with Sahara. We came across them on arriving, read reviews and walked in to book with staff Mr Devi Singh. He was transparent with 'Western tourist' package which is what we wanted with no overnight stay due to onward departure. We were after their half day package only.
From booking, he also paired us with another couple so 4 of us went from 2pm returning just before 10pm. Drove out to Lake, Fort and some local villages through Thar Desert. Devi Singh was also our Jeep driver and gave us valuable knowledge along the way. Then onto camel rides, one per person which took us into the midst of the desert among sanddunes as sun set and we had opportunity to walk around while freshly cooked dinner was made by camel guides, and we enjoyed under the open skies and stars. The entire experience was professional, explained history of Sahara Travel and Mr Desert and Jeep driver also shared his stories, and worth the fair price we paid. Highly recommend. Extended thanks to Aladdin and Eran the camel boys who led us.

We had a wonderful non-touristy desert safari in jaisalmer by Sahara. The jeep ride, village visit, and camping on Sam was fantastic. The camel men cooked simple delicious food, arranged comfortable tents, warm bedding and a campfire. Sleeping under the stars is a once in lifetime experience and Sahara arranged it very well for us. They are very prompt with whatsApp and phone calls. They took care of requests like Jain food, and change in dates. Please use their services. Highly rerecommend.

This was absolutely perfect. I can’t actually recommend one improvement to our two day one night camel safari as everything went perfectly and not a single corner was cut to provide the experience. Thank you very much Sahara Travels for showing why you’re the top recommendation on Lonely Planet.

If you’re looking for a secluded and beautiful safari with no gimmicks, this is the place.

We (my wife and me) had planned to visit Rajasthan, primarily hoping to explore the Desert. Many people tried to cheat us by reducing money and telling us they would give 5-6 hour of camel ride and other stuff. All this is not real Thar Desert all about! I have read reviews of Sahara Travels and opted them as they provide safer off the beat experiences. I came to know that many foreigners take such experiences and Indians choose famous Sam Sand Dunes which is fully crowded and feels like a city unlike a desert.
I called Aniketh (owner of this travels) on the morning of our trip and asked him about packages and itinerary. He suggested a fantastic plan, just what I was hoping/planning.
Manu (his assistant) dropped on the jeep near Keshavoon Ki Basti. From here, camel safari starts. Mr. Ghazi was our guide for the trip. He has a friendly personality who tries to give the best to his guests. I especially appreciate his honesty and his food. We had a great time discussing their living conditions, education, politics, nearby tourist places and endless talks.
We started our trip and reached to a place named Bedea. We had clear weather so we could see the stunning sunset at those dunes. The dinner prepared on the firewood was superb. We slept in the open sky.
Next day our route was towards Siyalan Ki Basti. This place too had little to none disturbances. We don't find DJ, Tents, City culture or any such sort (since we want a deserted experience). We experienced glimpses of real desert life.
We liked the trip so much that we extended the trip by one more day. Aniketh assisted us in getting our train (as our plan got changed) conformed. Next day we visited Heddar Kidani village and explored their culture and people. For lunch, we halted at Mitiyala and reached Mawa for sunset.
We were lucky enough to see drizzle in the desert, which was mesmerizing to witness.
Overall we had an enjoyable experience. We felt that Desert captivated us and we felt we wanted to visit again. I recommend it to anyone who wants to the real desert.

A lot of companies in Jaisalmer offer all kind of different desert experiences. We went with Sahara Travels, run by Mr Desert. They did a great job!
A one and a half hour jeep ride took us from Jaisalmer further into the Thar Desert. Where somewhere in the middle of nowhere two guides and six camels were waiting for us to take us even deeper into the desert. We were in a group with four other tourist: a couple from Switzerland, a boy from England and an Italian girl from Spain. Our two guides were on foot, leading the camels. After being on the back of a camel for an hour and a half, we stopped and setup camp in the middle of the desert, in a little valley between a couple of sand dunes. A group of four French women who were already riding on a camel since 8 in the morning joined us for the night. Our guides made a little camp fire, made chai (Indian tea), baked chips, and cooked us a simple but tasty dinner. Ella is not a fan of camping, so she went back to the hotel after dinner. I slept under the stars! Blankets were provided. It got pretty cold later during the night. Our guides cooked us breakfast before we hopped back on our camels for the ride back. It was an awesome experience!

I recently had the best experience with Sahara Travels in Jaisalmer. The service was exceptional, from the moment I booked to the end of the tour. The guides were knowledgeable, and the camel safari through the mesmerizing dunes was a highlight. The campsite was well-equipped, and the sunset views were breathtaking. Sahara Travels truly made my Jaisalmer visit memorable. Highly recommended!

First of all, the people from the agency as well as the guides are very friendly. Make sure that you know how a desert in Rajasthan looks like before going to Jaisalmer for a Safari. Yes there are sand dunes but its not only sand dunes (it's not like sahara). Pictures everywhere in Agencies want you to believe that you'll be surrounded only by sand dunes. It looks more like a steppe, you'll always be surrounded by bushes and you won't make it too deep into the desert.
If you take all this in account you will have a wounderful and memorable time in the desert. We booked a two night desert safari. The communication between us and the agency was very easy and they arranged everything for us including pickup early morning from the train station. We had one full day in desert which was totally worth it and a good experience. We were riding the camel (dromedaries) for around 10h im total, breakfast, lunch and dinner was freshly cooked by the guides and we got cold beer in the desert for a extracharge. They made a really good job - can recommend!

We contracted with them an excursion to the desert and a driver service for 6 days, from Jaisalmer to Delhi. Both the attention of the agency and the driver, Hansu, have been exceptional. We are very happy and could not have imagined that everything would go so well. Completely recommended.

Had the most amazing experience! We paid for a private safari and we highly recommend doing it with them. I was amazed about how good the food was.

Great spot in the desert to just enjoy and relax.

Today my family and I have done a 1 night desert safari (3:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.)
The truth is that it has been a good adventure and experience.
The men of the desert (Salim's team) have been super hosts. Very polite, respectful and discreet. They have taken us on a camel, prepared a fantastic dinner and have ensured that at no time did we lack for anything.
My thanks.

An incredible experience! We had a private half-day tour and it was amazing. The tour started at 15 and we saw very few tourists: we were alone in the desert with the two guides and the dromedaries. The dinner under the stars was really good, everything cooked on the moment on the fire. Recommended!

The tour was nice, the staff, Sambu and Puna, were friendly, honest and professional. The food was good in being for desert standards, and the camels were in good shape.

The place where we camped was beautiful and clean (and they were respectful with the environment, taking all rubish back with us)

They picked us up and left in the hotel.

Thank you!

I booked a ‘non-touristic’-safari with Sahara Travels in January 2023 and spent one night in the open desert dunes (no tent, no beds, just the open sky..). I was a little afraid about the cold, but it was no problem at all, there were enough blankets provided.
What an incredible experience. The camel ride and the sleeping experience were really good, but what I almost liked most was the food preparation on the open fire. I watched as the great desert guide prepared everything in such an experienced and beautiful manner, you could tell that he’s done that many times before.
Unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend Sahara Travels. Go for this ‘non-touristic’ tour, if you want the real experience, and leave the hotel room like tents in town..

We did the one-day-safari that starts at 2p.m. (They also offer safaris starting in the morning as well as safaris for several days.) It was well organized as we first visited an oasis and a little old village and then went 1,5 hours on camels to our sleeping place in the sand dunes. The food was delicious and we enjoyed staying the night although it is quite cold. also we could see other groups a few dunes further, but this did not disturb us. In the morning they woke us up for the sunrise and then we had a camel ride back.

We had a great experience with Sahara travels. We did a short trip from 3pm to 10pm. Despite the short time, it was a very rewording experience that we highly recommend, if you do not have time for the overnight stay. The Jeep ride is not too long but they still manage to reach non-touristy sand dunes, the camel ride is very enjoyable and feels very safe. We arrived well before the sunset to the dinner spot and had plenty of time for walks in the sand and lots of pictures. The dinner they prepared was delicious. We felt everything was really well thought to give an excellent sample of desert life. Highly professional and reliable!!
