The Shri Varahalakahmi Narashimha Swamy temple is situated on a hill top. Very scenic view and exceptionally beautiful.

I visited in the peak summer and it was quite hot.

Phones/camera/bags are not allowed inside. There are lockers where you can keep your belongings for 10rs or so. Since I traveled in a private car, I kept my belongings inside the car.

There are 3 types of darshan available. Normal darshan where you stand in the queue and get it, a semi-vip darshan which costs you around 100rs and a VIP darshan for 300rs.

You can also buy Prasadam Ladoos and Chivda after the darshan. Ladoo Prasadam is scrumptious. Make sure you get them after your darshan.

Please note that Darshan/Prasadam and the bag/phone counters are Cash payment only. Online payment is not available.

I had a flight to catch and was really short on time. And so I would highly recommend the 300rs Dharshan. There's no queue and it's the quickest. You can also perform the pradakshina and take your time and get a good darshan.

I was carrying no cash. But this very sweet gentleman (Mr. Srinu) selling garlands helped me big time. I purchased tulsi garlands from him and paid him via Gpay. When I told him I was short on cash to book the VIP darshan tickets, he very sweetly gave me cash and asked me to transfer him the money on Gpay. Very grateful to him. Had it not been for him I would've waited in the normal queue and would have probably missed my flight (Since I visited early morning there was a lot of rush for the normal queue)

Speaking about the Darshan and the experience inside the temple. One word - Divine! It was just divine and peaceful and very healing. I really needed it.

Temple is at top of mountain, very beautiful.. its quite hot in summers, walking without footwear may be bit challenging for elders .. phones are not allowed and kept in locker for 10rs.. I recommend the 300Rs Dharshanam as it is quicker and also all the way into the temple with one pradakshanam..

Visiting Simhachalam Temple was a truly enchanting experience. The positive vibes emanating from the sacred surroundings instantly put me at ease. The iconic beauty of the temple, with its unique blend of Orissan and Chalukyan architecture, left me awe-inspired.

What added to the magic of the visit was the mesmerizing folk dance performance, enhancing the temple's aura. The cultural touch added a vibrant and spiritual dimension to the entire experience, making it more than just a pilgrimage.

The serenity and divine energy of the temple, coupled with the captivating folk dance, created a memorable atmosphere that I will cherish. Highly recommend this spiritual haven for anyone seeking a blend of tranquility and cultural richness.

It's a nice place with beautiful scenario. It's a spiritual temple of Lord Varahalaxmi and Narasigha. Any entry fees are not needed. The architecture of this temple is amazing. Any kind of leather metarial things are not allowed in main the temple. If you want to enter in the place you've to take off your shoes and these kind of leather things at outside. Mobiles, cameras are also not allowed in it. They used Haldi powder, garam masala powder and bundle of Tulsi leaf during the praying to God. But, the vast crowd of the local people is hilarious. It's too much pathetic for the tourists. But, the behavior of the priests are too good. The pronunciation of the Mantras are amazing. All over the place is very nice.

The must visit temple in Vishakapatnam. It's area is so large and is surrounded by mountains. Mobile phones are not allowed but lockers are available in Rs. Ten. Enjoy the free prasadam, lemon rice in a 'Dona' the cup made up of leaves. Ladoo Prasadam is available with tickets. The place is sunny so prefer a cap or scarf. Corn and buttermilk is available as snacks in the Lil shops. A huge parking space is there. A good place for family, friends, kids and senior citizens. The darshan line may take 15-30 min. It is far from the city, so plan the day accordingly if u have to catch a train.

Om namo laksmi varaha narasimha, one of
Lord Sri Vishnu incarnation. A very beautiful and big temple in Andhrapradesh. Now a days management administered well to develop the temple in comparable to other temples. Huge crowds are visiting temple daily and specially on Saturdays and Sundays. The great Vijayanagara kings developed a lot this temple in ancient times and later by Sri Krishna devaraya donated lands, jewellery and gifts. Every Hindu has to visit and have a good darshan of swami. Nija roopa darshan is one of the event conducted here specially every year. A special event, every one must come and see that.

We bought VIP tickets worth 300 rupees each due to time constraints in our trip. So it was worth the money to skip the long queue. It's a good thing that they offer lift services for senior citizens. However, don't forget that they will keep your mobile phones in the locker before you enter for darshan. Overall, the monument and the design of the temple was enthralling and the minute details were worth observing.

The journey from Vizag city to the temple is really amazing. It will take around 30-45mins to reach by car/bike. You can experience great views of the city while going higher. You have to walk abit from the parking lot to handover mobile phones and the path has small gravels. So it might be difficult for aged and kids. To enter, you have 3 options- free darshan, sighra darshan (fast visit) 100/-, ati sighra darshan (very fast/VIP) 300/-. It seemed an odd system in a place like temple. We visited on a weekday around 11am and opted for free darshan. It hardly took around 15mins and we could get a good glimpse of the God. Management inside is good.

Beautiful temple complex at the hill top. Very crowded and you have to wait for hours for a free darshan. I feel that it can be regulated. At some places, the floor is wet and slippery, so one needs extra attention while going for Darshan. Alternately, management can easily get it done clean.
One should first look at Darshan timing before planning the pilgrimage. I found that variable times were there while searching.
Otherwise, a must visit temple for pilgrimage and seeing beauty of nature.

Varaha Narasimha Swamy a Namaha...🙏
This place is a must visit tourist temple place. This temple is on the hill top. There is ticket collecting for vehicles too at the beginning of the hill. Wheelchair accessible is available and there is a lift facility also available. Parking is also available near the temple. It is mostly busy on weekends mainly on Saturday. So if you plan to visit try to visit on weekdays in my suggestion. Ticket Costs for the temple begin from 100-300 rupees. It feels cool when you reach above the temple hill. There is Kalyanakatta (Hair Offering) too it also has some line and ticket collecting for it also. There is water flowing here outside the temple. Must visit Pilgrim.
