JAISALMER: 68 BN BSF organised a free medical check-up and

medicine distribution camp

at one of the remote areas of Jaisalmer where medical facility are a far-fetched reality. The nearest available medical facility is at Ramgarh, which is at a distance of about 150 km. BSF jawans are the only devdoots for the villagers living in these border area.

The camp was inaugurated by Vipin Panthri, Commandant 68 BN BSF in the presence of the sarpanch of Shahgarh and officers of 68 BN BSF. People in this area were already using the first aid facility available at the administration base of BSF available at Bachiya Chor.

About Jaisalmer
City in India

Jaisalmer, nicknamed "The Golden city", is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located 575 kilometres west of the state capital Jaipur. It is the administrative headquarters of Jaisalmer District. Before Indian independence, the town served as the capital of the Jaisalmer State, ruled by the Bhati Rajputs. Jaisalmer stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone and is crowned by the ancient Jaisalmer Fort. This fort contains a royal palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples of both the fort and of the town below are built of finely sculptured sandstone. source
