The puppet show is really amazing. The artists are incredible. Singing, puppet dancing , musical instruments are awesome.
They have two shows every evening. 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. charges only 200 per person with camera and including museum too.

Hi, this is the guy with Yoga :)
This is an amazing place, full of knowledge. It contains collections and information on humanities, history, geography, culture, etc. collected by the old curator. The curator is a wise elder. His books provide a concise introduction to local literature and history, and he is also willing to explain it to tourists. His knowledge is respectable. The puppet show was also very good and interesting. Many people came to watch it with their families in the evening, and they performed short stories. Unfortunately, I don't understand Indian, but I can still feel the fun. It really made us spend a happy time. It is a place that is highly recommended for everyone to visit.

It's a teacher's attempt to preserve the local culture and help the local artisans with a livelihood. It's a crisp display of the art. Do not miss it during your visit.

I highly recommend visiting the only puppet show and museum in Jaisalmer, which is run by an 87-year-old teacher named NK Sharma. It is truly incredible to witness the passion and expertise he brings to this unique form of art. The museum offers two shows per day, beginning at 6:30 and 7:30, with ticket prices at 150rs and 50rs for camera use. Before the show starts, visitors are treated to informative footage about Jaisalmer on TV and then there are 4-5 puppet acts which showcases the beauty and traditions of Jaisalmer. After the show, visitors have the opportunity to purchase their own puppets as souvenirs. Overall, this experience is not to be missed if you are in Jaisalmer. It is a true gem and a testament to the dedication of NK Sharma to preserve and share this beloved art form with the world.

Very good puppet show. An excellent opportunity to listen to high-level local musicians. There is also a museum with elements of local culture, especially musical instruments, and a shop to buy souvenirs, puppets and books about the culture of Rajasthan. Highly recommended.

A collection of local items keeping Jaisalmer heritage alive. Collected over the course of 40 years with much dedication by a school teacher and maintained today by his own son, Hemant, who even showed us around personally and sang local folk songs to us. Do try to visit!

We visited this beautiful museum in May. Since it was off season, only we two were present to watch the puppet show. We thought we won't be able to see it because only 2 were there. But we are so thankful to the management that they kept the show only for us! What a wonderful gesture it was! The performers showed us puppetry performances like Ganesh poojan, horse rider, sword fighting, a magician, a girl dancing etc.

We also met Shri N. K Sharma (head of the museum). Museum also has preserved so many things about Jaisalmer. Really, such a wonderful man for keeping the Rajasthani tradition alive in this era of social media /internet. I humbly request you to visit this place, the talented performers won't let you down. Show some love!

A great initiative to preserve Puppet Show artistry in world of ever changing entertainment industry. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and an oration about Jaiselmer history and its inception from founder, Mr. N.K. Sharma, a retired teacher by profession. A must go place to experience our heritage.

Amazing museum that seeks to fill in a gap in the local tourist offerings illustrating the deep global connections of the region through trade. From ancient menorahs to ancient minotaurs. Also includes an unflinching analysis on local society and history. It’s worth taking the time to visit and read the panels.
