It is about 20 km from Munnar and the drive is fabulous. Entry fee is 59 Rs per person. The waterfall lies at a short distance downhill from the entry point. It's breathtakingly beautiful. Swimming is allowed, but be careful not to cross the rope tied by forest security forces.

Started our trip at 7am from munnar to viriparai waterfalls at 8am.
Travelled at slow speed to enjoy the early morning Climate.
It was unexpected experience with full of mist, no crowd, perfect photography places on the way❣

If u wanna enjoy this start early as possible to enjoy the lovely scenes and climate.

In waterfalls be careful while reaching nearer and nearer to falls.
Waterflow is faster and rocks are slippery.
It's better to sit in a position and enjoy 😍
Must visit place..
Take some snacks if you have kids..
Bcoz no food would be available.
If u need so have to travel only to munnar main(30-45 mins travel)

What a place this is... I totally loved it. The climate over there and the falls... Wow.. The guide is very helpful and a perfect place to forget all the problems.. Falls will be closed in monsoon time for complete 3 months. So check with locals before visiting there. Also they are allowing to take a bath in the falls. Better go pre-planned. Also a neat dressing room for men and women individually available there. So no need to worry about that.

Lovely place to chill out 🥰
They charge an entry fee of 50 rupees.

Not recommended for old age people. Little trekking is necessary for the view.

The way to the waterfalls is an amazing and complete view of tea estates.

Must visit place in Munnar

Nice place to start 1 day Mankulam Jeep Safari.
Entry fee to be paid.
Guides & Security present in entry & falls area
Safe locations available for kids to bath.
Separate changing room available for ladies.
Better to go early, around 8 am on weekends to avoid rush and parking issues.

Visited in May 2023. Falls flow was nice since there were rains the previous day. Kids enjoyed a lot. Suitable to spend 1.5 to 2 hrs.
Snacks, tea etc through roadside vendors, available outside the falls entry gate.

Best waterfalls in Munnar surroundings. The water temperature is very cold. That Gives you a different type of experience for bathing . Today it's very crowded. A lot of Teenagers not obeying Forest Guard Guidance, Officers keep on whistling on them but still they fell down due to slippery rocks. The entry ticket is ₹50/Per Person. Car parking is okay. Dressing Room with Toilet is available. Bus transportation is impossible due to narrow roads.

One of the lesser visited places out there, well maintained, with diligent and well mannered staff. The falls aren't magnificent or anything but it's such a pleasant feeling to lie next to the flowing stream and enjoy the sound of water!

PS: You can take a bath here, they have a washroom and changing room facility as well. The water is clean and super cold!

This waterfall is located far from the rest of tourist attractions and thus remains very beautiful, clean and amazing. The cold water is very refreshing and we were lucky to visit this place while raining. This place is very private and not much crowd comes here. There are two entry points to this place, one from above and the other from down. I would suggest the entry from below as the way leading to the falls is by a 30 mins walk and the trail is very beautiful. There is a small hut which doubles as a changing room. The guards are very friendly and assisting.
It's advisable to carry water proof bags as there is no place to keep your electronic gadgets in case of rain.
The road leading to this place is kinda bumpy and narrow at places.
This is a must visit place and is definitely worth the visit.

1st of all you go here before 8.30, because after 9'o clock here full of gather tourists and then only you will enjoy the moment. You will enjoy it the most with family here and the water was so cooling so be prepared for that. The entrance ticket for each person was 50 Rs, it's for both visiting the falls and bathing in falls also.

Awesome experience. Our tour guide suggested this place. The place is a picturesque. Fantastic. Beauty of the nature cannot be described in words. Lush green mountains, cold n clear water. An experience worth the distance covered from Munnar town. Road leading to this place is not good however, its worth the visit.

Such a good place to go with friends to take a bath in the shivering cold water. Even the people who don't know to swim also can enjoy this place. But don't go after the tied rope across the water because there will be a deep depth.
₹50 for taking a bath
₹20 for entry
