Kallimali View Point

This fantastic point is four and half km away from Rajakkad in Idukki district. It commands majestic distant views of the Ponmudi Reservoir, as well as the island in it, and its catchment areas, dense with forests. Apart from the view, you may also enjoy the caress of the pleasant breeze. There are a number of private hotels nearby with reasonable rate. It’s a fabulous place for those who enjoy trekking. The roads leading to the hill station are pretty smooth. The climate at the place was different and awesome!!!.. Lots of fresh air and beautiful view cherish all the time. Superb place with lot of clouds. A big walking place with kids area is available. You can enjoy the beauty of Ponmudi in a good climate. Restaurants are limited there. Good to carry food along. Perfect place for gathering with family and friends.. Ponmudi is blessed with scenic splendor and natural beauty. Kallimaly view point is 58 min (28.8 km) via NH85 and Anachal - Kunchithanny Rd

It is a very beautiful view point. It is better to visit here in the early morning or evening. In monsoon time, you get an awesome view of the reservoir in the chilled weather. I visited here at the end of monsoon time. If you visit here, please avoid the throwing plastic waste here.

Speechless…. There are no words in this world to describe this place. You will get one of best sunset view here.

This is a view point by the side of the road. Doesn't have proper barriers or guard rails. So be careful. Gives you the fantastic view of the ponmudi dam catchment area. You will get good sunset view from here if it's not that cloudy.

Exceptional view. The place is right by the road and not at all crowded. The drive takes you through absolute rural landscapes near Rajakkad. Ragamaya resort is pretty close to this place and may offer comparable views.

This place is amazing with the view of water from ponmudi dam. Almost all of the western ghats ranges in Idukki is visible in the background. A walk through the road is beautiful experience as well. I'm not fond of the viewpoint culture. But on a cloudy day, the setting there will blow you away.

It was the Prettiest experience when we reached there. A beautiful View from the top point and the Wind is absolutely no Words....

At the start it was very unclear due to the mist. But after sometime It got clear and we experienced the mesmerizing views. We all loved it. I used my DJI mini 2 to fly across the valley and click some amazing thrilling shots and videos.

It a very good point of view you will get ponnmudy dam .You can see the spread areas of water in ponnmudy dam.Eventhough it's a tourist place there will not be large number of crowd at a time.Most of the tourists are from North India or other places of Indian and even from abroad come by tourist packages .It's comfortable for you to visite in any kind of vehicle otherwise there is a long walk of 2km.I visited there on behafe of my study when I reached there it was struggling to get a suitable place to site a relax also ther is no shopes to eat any kind of foods.Allthoug I enjoyed it's a beautiful trate to our eyes

Good view of ponmudy reservoir of ponmudy dam, morning and evening are good times to visit this place.And it's very calm place to spend time,no rush and disturbance here.

Must visit site near ponmudi dam .View of the reservoir from this spot is great. It is near the ragamaya resort. No shops nearby. No barricades or safety measures near the cliff .

A tourist spot near adimali. No car parking facility. Steep and narrow roads. Best time to visit is between 6am and 9 am or 3 pm- 4 pm
