Thommankuthu's Embrace: Serenity Whispered by Waterfalls

Forget tourist traps, Thommankuthu is where man and nature whisper secrets to each other in cascading water. Every step on the forest trail is a brushstroke on your soul, dappled sunlight a lullaby sung by leaves.

Then, the roar. Thommankuthu's seven tiers unveil, a symphony of plunging water, mist, and rainbows. Breath deep. Let the cool spray wash away your worries, the rhythm of the falls your new heartbeat.

Here, beneath the emerald canopy, you're not just a visitor. You're a melody in the forest's song, a leaf dancing in the wind. The towering trees, the vibrant flowers, all whisper of belonging.

This isn't just a waterfall; it's a sanctuary. So pack a picnic, dip in the crystal pools, and let Thommankuthu paint your soul with serenity.

Great place to visit near kottayam/ Thodupuzha.
40rs entry fee.
Can't directly go into the waterfalls, which is restricted because it's risky. There are forest guards throughout the way to the waterfalls to check if anyone is getting into the river.
There is a 30-minute walk by the riverside through the forest to the waterfalls. There are plenty of trees there, and on many of them, the name is written.
Please make sure that you don't throw any plastic bottles or covers inside the forest.

Waterfalls near Thommankuthu is a hidden gem. Anayadikuthu is great. Lot of water you can take a dip under the falls. Lush green nature and water in all its glory. There are many hilltop viewing places. You get a panoramic view from the top of the valleys near Thodupuzha.

Beautiful place. I felt that summer is the best time visit to visit this place as we can play in water which is not allowed in other seasons. It was quiet and cool.

Currently the road to the entrance is undergoing maintenance so not suitable for big vehicles.

Had a nice hike alone the river and waterfalls in June 2023 with my family. We were spending our summer vacation in the US in Kerala. Kids loved the hike. True rainforest feeling was quite refreshing. Govt. of Kerala has preserved the nature around it so well. Guards were very helpful too. Caution: watch out for leeches. Carry some salt to get rid of them when bitten.

One of the best tourist attractions Located near to Thodupuzha. Those who are passionate about walking, hiking Love's nature etc .. can visit this place.

One piece of advice is never ever try to enter the water and always follow the instructions from the guard because lots of accidents have happened in this place.

Coming to the parking there are some paid parking in this area which we can use. If we are coming on week days we will get parking in the roadside itself.

Entery fee is 40 rs/person.

A beautiful picnic spot where we can spend time with friends or family. Lots of things to see there. A walk / trek through the side road will lead to the top of the waterfalls and see the waterfalls step by step 1 - 7. A nice and enchanting view. One can spend a day here and can do a river bath.

This water fall is situated in the middle of a beautiful lush green forest. This fall is very beautiful and charming. There is a lot of water in it during the rainy season, hence bathing in it is prohibited. This fall is maintained by the Kerala Tourist Department and a ticket to see it costs Rs 40 To see this fall, one has to walk about 1 km inside the beautiful forest from the main gate.
