Sijo is an amazing driver and he showed us around in Munnar and drove us to Kochi airport. He knows a lot about the history of Munnar and he tells you little facts all the time. It was a very comfortable and relaxing drive to the airport with a good stop to have dinner. We highly recommend this taxi service to anyone whom is enjoying a trip to Munnar! Sijo is a very nice, responsible driver. In two days he drove us from Kochi to Thekkady. Our flight was delayed and Sijo waited for us at the airport and drove us to the hotel in the middle of the night. He was very flexible with departure the next day which gave us enough time to rest. On the way we stopped for food and chai. We can highly recommend Sijo as a driver. Thank you!

We had a very good experience going from Munnar to Munroe Island by car driven by Mr. Sijo. He drove us nice and safely and told us many interesting things along the road and stopped for delicious food and drink.

We hire taxi from Alphonsa Travels on recommendations of Fab Valley home stay and they are just fabulous. Mr Sijo who received us at ERS Junction is fantastic so far as his behaviour his gentleness, his indepth knowledge of that area is concerned. Our Munnar tour became memorable just because of his company and the very affectionate hosting of Fab Valley home stay only.

We were recommended Sijo for our pickup from the Munnar bus stop and right from there for the next 4 days we have used his cab services. He was extremely helpful in recommending places to visit, different brands of tea to purchase to various sight seeing activities. He even entertained us with interesting stories about Munnar and Kerala. The cab charges were also very reasonable and I highly recommend his services for anyone visiting Munnar.

If you want an easy travel with a kind and good english speaker driver, Sijo is the man. He is based in Munnar,but he also covers long distances from there or from kochi area.

Me and my friend spent 3 days in Munnar and Sijo picked us up from the Kochi airport. He is absolutely nice and helpful! He has a lot of knowledge about Kerala and Munnar and we had a lot of very interesting discussions. We learnt so much about India, and especially Kerala and Munnar from him. We spent another half a day where he drove us around Munnar. He cared so much and always made sure that we got to places safely. He really made our Munnar trip! If you have the chance to book trips or stay with him, do it!!

While staying in Munnar, Mr. Sijo Mathew was recommended to us as a driver and tour guide for a day trip to see the sights around Munnar. He was very knowledgeable about the area, pleasant to drive with, and helped us plan a full day of sightseeing (and dropped us at the Kochi airport ~3 hours away the next day.) Not only did he provide information about the region and the sights he was patient and always happy to make stops along the way. He speaks English very well and I'd recommend to both international and local travelers. Knowledgeable about Kerala more broadly and a Munnar region native, Mr. Sijo Mathew definitely made our visit enjoyable and smooth. We travelled with Mr. Sijo Mathew during our stay in Munnar. Mr. Sijo is a very punctual, decent, well groomed , smiling person. He arranged for pick up and drop from Kochi Airport to Munnar. Expert navigation, knows all routes of Munnar. The best part is his knowledge , he is a mini encyclopedia of Munnar and surrounded area with commendable English. He is ready reckoner .
He knows Geography and History of almost all place in Kerala. While driving with him during sight seeing tour of Munnar, throughout the journey he explained historical, political and geographical importance of all the places that was enroute. Mr. Sijo Mathew gave us the best tour around the Idukki District we could wish for. His knowledge about Kerala (and India in general) is incredible. Besides that, Mr. Sijo is a genuine nice person and I would love to meet him again.

We travelled from Delhi to Munnar and Kumarakom. We booked an Innova with Mr. Sijo Mathew and he came to pick up at the Kochi Airport itself. The car was in perfect condition and we were ready to go. We are pure vegeterians and everytime we wanted a pure veg meal Mr. Mathew took us to a great place. He was our guide for the entire tour and help us plan our trip all 4 days. He is well versed with English and understands Hindi to a great extent. Coming to his driving skills, I must say I have never felt more safe in a 4 wheeler on a hill station like I felt with him.

Coming to his knowledge, he gave us information ranging from the history of the place to all upcoming things in the entire region. Much like other travel agencies this travel agency wont fool you in terms of rates as well. He quoted the lowest prices and definitely provided the best service.

I strongly recommend Alphonsa travels whenever you visit Kerala. Mr. Sijo Mathew would feel more like a family member than your driver.

We spent 3 days with Sijo Mathew, a fantastic driver and kind man, who drave us all around Munnar area let us experiencing all the best and discovering lots of details about the history of Munnar (about the past and the present) and lots of information about the territory and the flora&fauna. Our trip was both pleasant and exciting due to th excellent hospitality extended by Mr. Sijo Mathew. We had both senior citizens as well as toddler in our group which meant extra care and patience was of paramount importance, needless to say Mr. Sijo was very accommodating on that regard.

He knows the place very well, suggests eclectic places and is quick to understand the demands of the travelling group.

He is punctual (was waiting for us more or less everyday) - apologies Sijo to keep you waiting and has a radiant personality.
