Irshalgad, nestled in the Sahyadri range, promises an enthralling trekking adventure. Ideal post-monsoon, the journey involves traversing rocky terrain and steep slopes. At the summit, trekkers are treated to panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Scaling Irshalgad offers a mix of challenge and excitement, ensuring enduring memories amidst the tranquil Western Ghats.

Exploring Irshalgad typically takes about 3 hours, so ensure you carry an ample supply of water to stay hydrated throughout the trek. The rocky terrain and steep climbs can be demanding, making hydration essential for a comfortable and safe journey.

After trekking, you can dip into the refreshing waters of nearby Morbe Dam. It's a perfect way to cool off and relax after the exhilarating adventure at Irshalgad. Enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and rejuvenate your body and mind.

It's a bit steep from the start, but later the trek gets easier. The view from the top is breathtaking 😍😍😍. Also there is a tribal village which comes on the way while going to the top.

We went for this trek on Saturday in Month of Sep from Mumbai by cycling ride.. This trek is not so much difficult and not so easy , it's a moderate trek. It's approx 4km away from Mumbai Pune highway and very near to Morbe dam. The view from trek is breathtaking . You can view full More dam seen and so many big building in Panel and Karjat easily. For reaching here u need ur own vehicle or taxi, as no public transport is not available. We went here that we could not seen single person during full trek, I think because of dangerous land slide occurred here in tribal village Irsalwadi . We saw destruction by nature in form of landslide. Pet animal was there but no owner was there. Many shop was there but none there to operate them. It took 1 hr to reach on top of trek and 50 min to come down from the top . It's very beautiful trek length of 6 km up and down with elevation of 500mtrs. Me and my friend enjoyed the trek very much , I also want to recommend this trek to all. I pray to bhagwan Krishna for tribal people who lost a lot because of landslide. One more I want to add guys don't throw garbage their, if u are carrying something take back garbage in ur bag and throw that go dustbin only

Easy and Breezy Trek with Panoramic Views!

The paths were clear, and there were some uphill parts. Make sure to carry water. Easy to reach by road, with parking at the base village. Got awesome views of Morbhe Dam. Loved the small temple on the way. Perfect for beginners. The mix of simplicity and scenery is just right. Definitely bring water, and appreciate the easy access and parking. The highlight was the breathtaking views of Morbhe Dam. A memorable trek for sure!

It is an Easy trek unless you don't go further for rock climbing otherwise intermediate. Very small trek, so it should take around 3 hrs to reach the top. But there are so many trail at the top. We explored almost 3 trails and saw all the sides of this mountain.

I went here during both the summer and rainy season. Trekking in summer is little bit tirey and have to carry enough water with you.

Trekking in the monsoon can indeed be a unique and refreshing experience, but it's essential to be prepared and cautious due to the increased risks associated with heavy rainfall.

During rainy season you will experienced lush green landscapes, gushing small waterfalls, streams and dense forest.

Carrying a raincoat and good trekking shoes are crucial and additionally, keeping a close eye on weather forecasts and plan accordingly. You also can experience excellent weather-related challenges during your trek.

There are small hut shops along the route, which are opened only in week ends .

After hearing the news of landslide at Irshalwadi i decided to put this review dedicated to the lost village and its generous and beautiful people. I remember we had offered a lunch by them while returning from the summit. The food was very tasty. The people was so kind they also aksed us about our experience. They educated us the history of this fort. I simply wish they would come out quickly from sorrowful time. Will be looking forward to put some help when Everthing becomes normal.

The place is truly beyond description, featuring a moderate trek that takes merely 2 hours to reach the summit.

However, please be cautious as a recent landslide has occurred, leading to a temporary shutdown of the area.

Amazing place to visit during Monsoons.
Visited Irshalgad in the month of September. Rains were heavy, but the trek was super fun.

Climb was moderate halfway till the base village. Just as we reached the village, it started pouring heavily. Had to stop by to wear our rain gears and we again continued.
The view was worth it at the end. You can check out the photos I've attached.

Now comes the tricky part, DESCENDING.
As we started our descent, it again began to pour heavily and this time rains were accompanied by gusty winds which was all the more scary.
It was all slippery and somehow carefully we managed to get down.

By the end of the day, it was totally worth it.
Super fun trek. Lovely views.

Must visit :)

Trek is awesome during monsoon and winter season ..
We trek in August with changing climate . Sometimes it rains or sometimes sun would come .. trek was moderate good for new trekkers and youth to try their ability ..
This fort is used as watch tower and from top morbe dam, prabalgad,Chanderi, malangad and Sondai fort are visible.

beautiful surroundings and great views are there.

While going on fort there is one difficult rock patch which is risky for beginners so be careful on the patch avoid in raining season

On the top water tank is available one small cave and one air born nedh.

You must visit

Nice place to explore merely take 2 hrs to complete. You can hire a cab which will take minimum half hr to reach the trek base from karjat station. Please take the taxi from Karjat east and there are taxis available at the side of last bridge towards kopoli. They will tell nearly 700 as charge for 8 people but u can negotiate and close for 600 somewhat. And please take there number for return purpose. The trek is easy. Carry water minimum 2 ltrs per person. If u carry snacks then also good. There are many shops in the way of trek. So not a big issue. Try to start early. So u can return soon. Also the parking facility is available if u r travelling by ur own vehicle

One of the best places to trek in monsoon. The level of trek is medium and the place offers amazing views. We can experience winds at the top. There's a village after u complete 50% of the trek but I would suggest to carry ur food with you. Please keep the place clean and carry ur garbage, back with u.

Even though it has no specific peak, it's still worth the effort getting to top, going there early morning is the right choice as you get to click photos in the golden hour. There are chances to loose your track, so carefully follow your trails. Happy Hiking😊
