📍Quick disclaimers :- Beware of they monkeys. If they tries to scare you retaliate or else they will be snatching all your stuffs and party in front of you.

Additional, i would like to enlighten that, you visit at monsoon season because only then you will be able to have the sight of seeing the real beauty of mountains and you will be walking within the clouds.

Rest of the season you will enjoy but there aren’t enough crowd and you will be seeing the dead mountains and dead trees.

It is one of the best places to visit in Matheran if you are up to watch the sky at its best. You can reach there by walking from Matheran Station. Once you are here, you will get to see the beauty it holds. Watching sunset from here is what you shouldn't miss.

As the colors of the sky change from blue to pink and then become dark, it is enchanting. The soft breeze will feel like music to your ears. The best time to be there is during monsoons. Make sure you follow the safety guidelines and not cross the fence.

Go by horse riding if you want to enjoy there otherwise by walking it's tiring, , you can negotiate as per your capacity 😆

Excellent point to witness sunset at Matheran. It’s slightly at a distance but easily walkable. Reach there in time to have a wonderful view just before the sun sets.

You need to walk down atleast 3 and half km to reach here, approx 1 hour walk. But all effect to reach there was paisa vassol when we saw gorgeous sunset. Best place for photography.

Place is very beautiful and serene. It is 30-45 mins walking from matheran market. But it's worth the wait. Sunset timing is 6to 6.15. There are two shops for eating bt you can't eat peacefully because of monkeys.

30-45mins of walk with varying elevation and loose gravel. Recommended to wear shoes and check the sunset time before visiting!

Sunset point is the best point to visit in Matheran. It's quite far away from other points but it's worth it. Approximately at 6 -6:30 PM sunset will happen. Best time to get clicked is from 6:05 to 6:15. You will get the best view and best clicks. There are 3 shops available, sunset vadapav and maggie one is for tea coffee and one is sandwich shop. Beware of monkeys while eating because they will take it away from you. Too many monkeys in the point. There is restroom available but is not cleaned since ages. Overall it's a best experience. You can walk there or rent a horse. They will charge you min 500 rs to and from market. It's difficult to get horse from there if you have not booked it in advance. Make sure to get back from there by 6:30 PM as it will get dark post that and you will not have any lights half of the path. Overall it's a must visit point in Matheran.

Matheran is beautiful, and Sunset Point is well worth a visit. Breathtaking views, even in the dryer seasons where things are less green. We visited during February and although not as green as some of the other photos, it's still an impressive place and worth a visit.

The panoramic view is so awesome even though we couldn't see sunset!! 100%worth going.! Here we can reach by foot only same as like every points in Matheran even if sunset point is one of the distant points from matheran township.
