From locals @ Rs.499 Prabalmachi Camping /Kalavantin durg trek

Spacious, well maintained, tasty food with great views and clean toilets. They provide tents starting from ₹499 per person including dinner & breakfast. The place being situated away from village on back side of mountain has one of the best views of Kalavantin durg and valley views to the north, on a clear day you can also see matheran from this place.
During our trek we checked almost all camping places and this one felt the best maintained place, highly recommended if anyone wants to stay at prabalmachi

We all enjoyed it. We are tourists from Russia, and it would be too difficult for us to get to the starting point of the track on our own. We came out of the slipbas We were met, brought and fed. The guide took us to the top of Kalavantin, we were completely alone there. It is very stunning and beautiful. Then we were fed again, and taken to Panwell, helped to buy tickets to Mumbai. Thank you very much! This is an incredible experience.

Best place for night camping and base camp for kalavanti and Prabalgadh base camping

Very easy trek. Meant for families with young kids too, 3 years and above.
Accomodation options are tents which will be pitched up or a couple of rooms which are bare. Can use the mats provided.
Food is nice and simple. We went last year with a group of friends and their families.
Breakfast, tea, lunch and dinner which was catered was reasonably priced and tasty.
The trek from the camping site to Kalavanti takes a few couple of hours, was a bit tough as we started late. So since it started getting dark we had to come back halfway. That patch is not meant for young kids. So it is recommended that they stay back while some of the adults attempt it.

I think one of the best place near Mumbai to spend time with friends and family in camps for one day and night. camps are clean or views from camp are very beautiful. The owner are too friendly and the cooked simple food and the have a pet named meggy. it's cost efficient that's important think.

It was great spending a night in the camp for just 600 bucks. The camp guy Nilesh, we used to call him Nilesh da, he was very nice, he told us about the history and the things about the trek and the food was so good, the chicken cooked desi way (on chulha), if you see it is just for 600 bucks you won't get this delicious, breakfast was there too, they served chai and poha after finishing the trek which was amazing. For a weekend getaway this is the best place to go hands down.

Rustic living, warm hospitality, delicious food, wonderful nature and ever helping hosts Nilesh and his wife. That is how you can sum up this place in a few words.

Camping has become extremely popular in the last 3-4 years. Places like Bhandhara, Mulshi, Rajmachi and many more are now packed to the last square inch with camping grounds. The once serene camping experience has now become a commotion at almost all places. This is where Prabalmachi Valley Tourism stands apart. Most importantly you can't take your vehicle to the campsite, this eliminates the rucus-making public. You need to trek for about an hour and a half to reach Prabalmachi and the another 10 mins to this place. The seclusive nature of this campsite is a wonder in itself.

Nilesh has been expanding this business venture of his beautifully - rustic, homely with basic facilities but not at all commercial. He can cater to a group of 100 and then shall even cater to solo travellers like me on a weekday with the same enthusiasm, pitching a tent and making all necessary arrangements just for me (oh and also he did cater everytime to the 20-25 requests I made for tea 😀).

I met Nilesh Bhutambra about 3 years back during a recee trip for an adventure camp to Prabalmachi. In this time I have been to Prabalmachi as a solo traveller, with a group, with a group and kids, and everytime he has wow'ed me. Well now the relation has gone beyond host and guest to a good friendship.

Simple beginners trek and worth on the top camping

One of best adventure of life, the team is highly supportive and cooperative. They offer service with no heavy or extra cost, everything is transparent and clear like a mirror. Really enjoyed trekking with them, would recommend to visit atleast once.

Talk to Mr. Nilesh, he owns the biggest and the best campsite on prabalmachi. All other trip planners use his tents and property only. We went there Directly and had too much fun. Nilesh also guides u to best spots for spotting and enjoying fireflies. We saw the dance of the fireflies and actually slept among them.. it was just beautiful.
