Vikaasa School - Heritage Campus

I had my entire schooling at Vikaasa, Higher secondary school, Madurai, Kindergarten to XII – 14 hardcore years 1995-2009 – A proud Vikaasite. The space would always turn scanty when I plan to pen down my halcyon days spent at school.. Right from being a toddler who was carried to school by parents to the young adult who was expecting the mush to grow, the days at Vikaasa was heaven.

The school was situated near my house and it hardly took 10 minutes to reach the place by walk, that had its own perks of reaching the school on time and never worrying about a bus or an auto waiting for the commutation. My mom used to bring hot yummy lunch for me and bro everyday which made our lunch bags the most coveted target within our friends circle.

The innocence and happiness knew no bounds at school, it was shared and rejoiced with friends alike; kings, french cricket, merry-go-round, sliding board fantasies have their own stories to tell. Those were the days when I used to be reserved, shy and highly emotional. Teachers of Vikaasa stand as a major reason behind the unconditional love and respect for the place, we were embraced and brought up as their very own children, the tantrums they spared and the knowledge they showered us with made our heart worth its beat.

The dramas, mime, dance and the speech delivered in the auditorium has its endless echoes still lingering in the sweetest of memories. The field trips to sathiyar dam, rajaji park, alagar kovill, CESCI, Avalanche.. raised our exuberance to peaks. The emotional bondage with our teachers blossomed during the breakfast parties, teachers day celebrations, Christmas carol, Pongal celebration, etc., NSS and NCC instilled the part of responsibility in us. Annual days and sports days brought the hidden talents out of us. We would eagerly await the annual youth festivals every year conducted by and for the students, which attracted students from neighboring schools. The urge to save pocket-money for the two days of snack, brunch and lunch still puts a smile across my face.

These nostalgic memories will be cherished forever and I am indebted to the three close friends who grew with me in this wonderful place and understand me like no one else till date… This post was penned 8 years ago and still holds good! I believe and hear many things have changed but Vikaasa would always be close to heart and hold some of the best memories that I have ever had!

Both my son's Manu Maharaj & Abimanyu studied here from LKG - 12th. A great place of education where the teachers were passionate in grooming their wards. The campus is such a nice place amidst the busy city and the heritage office building and old classrooms added so much charm to the ambiance.

As a parent, the Parent Teacher meetings provided so much of insights into my.kkds classroom behaviour and the teachers identified areas needed for development and they knew each and every one of their students strengths and weaknesses.

Those were the best days of Vikaasa.

The sports day Celebration was went well, it was a splendid evening. The way, teachers trained the kids was simply superb. We enjoyed do watching our little one's performing different activities. Altogether it was a joyful experience.

It showcased our wards abilities and thereby making them even more self confidence.

What an amazing experience at the sporty meet.. hats off to the management and all teachers and support staff for pulling off this event with such amazing dedication and hard work .. to manage so many children together is a task and was done very nicely.👌

The event was well-planned and organized, with a variety of activities to keep the students engaged. The sports were fun and challenging, and the students had a great time competing against each other. The atmosphere was friendly and energetic, making it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves.

We think this is a great way to motivate children to stay active and have fun at the same time.

The school has best Staff, we can see the changes and improvements a lot in my daughter which is very surprising.. The best platform to the kids to come up as Best in their career!! The school have excellent staffs. The relationship between the students and teachers are good. The school have a friendly connection with parents. They always maintain the rules and regulations. Even though the studies are going on the extra curricular activities are very nice. My children loves the school very much.

Joined both my kids this academic year after returning from US. Was initially little hesitant how kids will manage but very kind of their teachers to know my kids need and make them comfortable to adjust to the present environment.
My son has improved a lot to write neatly, concentrate and especially to socialize with peer(which has been lagging due to the pandemic)
Nevertheless my daughter who is also nearing middle school next year has easily adapted to the curriculum and trying herself to give her best. Thanks to all the teachers and management for all your understanding and would highly recommend this schoolfor kids in future

My son is studying in Vikaasa School since last year & there's a lot of positive difference in him. The teachers & management help in bringing out the best from each & every kid and unlike other schools, they focus on each & every kid separately. They try to instill confidence in them thus making them bold enough to face any difficult situation without any hitch. This is one of the best schools of Madurai & it stands out also because it is one of the oldest schools of Madurai. I'm completely satisfied with the teaching & the positive difference that I see in my son.

My son studying in Vikkaasa school from past 12 years. All these years, our efforts as parents are very less compared to the efforts taken by teachers in the school. I find the teaching and learning process go very smoothly in a natural way without much pressure on him. The school environment is amicable encouraging and motivating.

My daughter has been a student here for a year. I can see her academic growth. The teaching is of very exceptional quality. Skit Day was celebrated. Each and every student in I std B sec performed very well in the Ramayana skit. This academic year's sports day was held. It was a wonderful day. All arrangements are made in a good manner. I genuinely feel that these kinds of activities ought to be conducted on a regular basis if we want our kids to be physically healthy. Mrs. Kavitha (I std., B sec.) deserves full credit for all of this. She gives individual attention to each student and focus not only on academics but also on instilling good habits in children. We are still pleased with management, activities, and faculty behaviour. Finally, I conclude that one of the best ICSE schools in Madurai for primary school students with reliable academics and caring instructors.

My both kids are studying right from PREkg, they have good communication skill and reading skill .Teachers of this campus is very much friendly and lovable to their students. They give equal importance to extra curricular activities besides studies.Very nice school for children to build up their future.

Vikaas Heritage campus school its near to our home already my sister's son will studying there only so i know about school already very well . Now my son studying in 2nd year in this school. The teaching staffs are take care every kids individually with respect to personal care and teaching as well. My daughter is studying in 1st Standard B section and I must say that, Vikasa is a Very good place for children's to the start the academic. This is the first time that [my duaghter] is saying that she likes school and her teacher. She has a great interest in reading and studying all the time. Now she loves to go to school.
